In this video, we delve into the world of ANSYS and static structural analysis, specifically focusing on the effects of stress concentration in a plate with a central hole. We start by demonstrating the calculation of maximum stress using traditional hand calculations. Then, we move on to performing the same analysis in the ANSYS Workbench's Static Structural module, where we explore the impact of stress concentration factors on the results. By calculating the stress concentration factor, we determine the maximum stress by multiplying it with the nominal stress. Finally, we compare the analytical and simulation results, revealing an impressive error margin of less than 1%. Join us as we unveil the fascinating realm of stress concentration analysis with ANSYS.

Thanks a lot, I will tell my students to join your channel. This is standard.
So nice of you. Thank you for sharing.
Good job. Thanks for sharing. 😀
Thanks for watching!
Thank you 😊
You're welcome 😊 Thank you for your contribution.
what if applied load is pressure? how will we calculate the nominal stress then?
It will be equivalent to applied pressure.
