That new G25 has great tech for sure. Such a small package but nice response on the low end with nearly no loss at high rpms vs. A larger unit. Perfect for a drift application 👍😎
@@RudeToStare the reason it falls a little on top is because of my stock intake manifold. Not the turbo. Yes getting a larger turbo would fix that but it would sacrifice a lot more bottom end response.
@@dennisrobinson8008 I ran a precision 5858 prior to the garret. I ran a twisted motion 3071R before that, and started driving with a twisted motion 2871R. The G25 out performs all of them in each category imo.
I've been looking at two of these turbos on a 4.4 V8 for a quick spooling setup with a very flat torque curve. Based on your graph I'm thinking this might be my way to go.
I have a s14 SR currently running a Tomei arms 7960 (would not advise if looking for low end response btw) but have the same g25 550 kit on the way from mazworxs, just curious as to what size injectors you’re running in this video?
Ah nice , any chance I could get a write up of what you’ve done to the motor please ? Building my sr and just bought the same turbo gonna run 98 octane in nz ( I think that’s same as 93 that your using? ) also I heard American HP is more than Australian ? Could be wrong tho

The turbo fits the engine really well so far with the few drift events I’ve done with the setup!
Would you get same spool with the g25 660 and better top end rpm whilst maybe sacrificing couple hundred rpm of spool ?

I am running E85 compatible 1000cc injectors
Why not? I thought that turbo was made for a fast spool/low end torque
I have since swapped to ID 1030x injectors.

It is a high mount setup I made. Similar to a PBM setup
How much power did you make on 98 at what boost level ?
We ran out of time to tune on e85. The car made 396/375tq at 19psi on 93 pump gas

Who did you have tune your car?
I had Jason from Link USA tune the car. He is based out of Oregon, but does do remote tuning, and travel for pay.
