pull timing out of the "hump" in the graph and it will survive, the SR20DE always detonates right at that torque hump. proper SR timing curve will have a big hole in it at 4000rpm which is max VE, then you feed it back in to redline
He said he has a new turbo kit for the SR-Z. And since he took the old one for the zenki it's a good excuse to put the new one on. Let's hope he doesn't forget about it.
Seeing the kouki, zenki, and the s15 next to eachother makes me want to see the evolution of Nissan body styling lined up next to eachother with your cars
boost creep will be a result of where the waste gate hole is, sometime manufacturers make turbine housings with waste gate holes that have 90 degree exits, a simple fix is porting the inside of the turbine to make it easier for air to flow towards the exit, and then of course making the hole itself bigger.
It’s the difference in compression ratio and atmospheric pressure the difference in hot side allows it to climb with the difference in increased combustion cylinder pressure which increased exhaust manifold pressure as opposed to a turbo motor which would have a lower combustion pressure and result in lower exhaust back pressure it made up the difference

there is a tun of rm to port old housing. use metal scribe to go around the wast gate flange to see outter diameter of flange, the port all the way up to 1/16"-1/8" away fro mthe edge of your scribe line. easy peasy, ive done this job many times before in the past so when you showed off flang ein yesterdays video i could see clear as day you have allot of meat there in the way. but all you broskie. id say port her just for experiment and for a future skillset in your wheelhouse but all up to you..

Let’s be real this doesn’t make sense if you don’t have money for a DET engine, honestly buying a Link ECU, paying the dyno plus all the hrs of work figuring out all the problems . Is a lot of money 💰 plus everyone knows soon 🔜 your gonna need to rebuilt your engine if your lucky enough not to make a hole in the block. But I love the video . This guys are awesome . They work hard to provide good content !!

If you get 2 more of those same turbo setups, put one back in the Z and use the other one to turbo DJs sr and DJ can just throw the RB in the r33. Just an idea :p
I know these numbers don't seem dramatic, but back in the day this car would be a foxbody 5.0 killer and embarrassing gm f-body's which is pretty sick! This car is still WAY FUN at this level.

The DE cams are slightly larger than DET cams so are actually a slight upgrade for a DET. Swapping to DET cams would be worse.

That torque bump it’s gunna be the demise of that motor. There’s a small bump in the torque curve, pull some timming right there and dial is back in
