As a white boy from kentucky who’s a bassist, I’m soothed by this groove, keep rockin my bass brother! You invented this shit for so many people like us, nothing but respect in love to the master Larry graham
This is by far the tightest live versions of both I've seen or heard yet. Video is tight and the sound is right there. Larry? Well, Larry makes it happen always. The whole band is kickin' and yeah, he does make it look so easy, don't he?
What I really like about LG's "thump n' pluck" bass lines is that they have GROOVE. It's not just all speed, double thumbing/plucking and percussion. Nope, he creates some of the funkiest groove lines going. Then there's his showmanship and stage presence: Superb!
My first concert was at Radio City Music Hall in February 1975. The headliners were The Ohio Players. Opening act was Parliament- Funkadelic followed by Graham Central Station. I was 15 and it was joined by best friend and his girlfriend at that time ( now his wife)and her beautiful cousin. We were lit and I was hooked on live performances ever since that night. We are all still friends today thru everything! Much love to Fred, Karen and Robin!
''Ain't no fun to me'' and '' It's alright '' .

Best comment. Melodic thumping is most memorable bass language for the audience…and sonically pleasing to us bassists.
Great horns, Michael Millfield!
I will be performing this mix in new Orleans on July 20th my D dozier give club location soon
This was a great end of the day. :)
