This would be great however the buttons are missing and I've got to drill the top to get that lightbar in which I've wrecked in trying to install it. Shame, was looking forward to installing this! But the sweets were nice though :D
I got the buttons but they didn't fit at all. I had to sand them down a lot as well as ream the holes for the light pipe. Also apparently didn't receive all the screws. I guess the best option is to order it assembled.
Do you sell just the SD Extension (15cm MicroSD to Full SD) without the hood or that mount bracket? I have the Stone Age Gamer Bracket for MODE and don't want to remove it because the noctua fan mod gets in the way making it awkward to remove the Stone Age Gamer Bracket that I paid 45 bucks for.
I bought a SEGA Dreamcast MODE 3d Printed Tray Insert with SD Extender - Terraonion MODE on E-Bay and it's Micros SD Memory card 2 SD Memory Card Extender thing was of better quality, no tape on it and it had a piece of plastic similar to a SD Memory card that makes it easy to insert in the Micro SD Memory card reader, no worry of damaging and protective tape or cracking the cable.
I don't know if something changed with the new MODE board revision (mine is Rev. E) or if my MODE was made wrong but this mount wouldn't fit with a standard size SSD or HDD. The back of the drive encroaches on the rear holes too closely so the screw holes in the mount can't line up properly. It seems like the SATA interface on the board is about 1mm too far towards the rear. Thankfully, when I remove my SSD from the housing it's only about an inch long, so I've just installed the bare board for now. The board isn't in contact with anything so it should be fine, but I will probably see about printing a smaller case for it.
@@LaserBearIndustries I probably should have mentioned I printed it myself from the model files provided on the Laser Bear site. Everything fits together and lines up perfectly without the drive so I don't think there's anything wrong with the mount. It really seems like the MODE is the issue. I just double checked and if I have an SSD or HDD installed in the SATA slot, it's actually partially overhanging the pads around the rear screw holes. From what I can see in this video, that doesn't seem to be the case for this MODE. Again, I'm not sure if it's just the new board revision or if there was a hiccup in manufacturing mine. For reference my MODE came from the latest Stone Age Gamer batch.
Will this fit in a Dreamcast with the Noctua NF-A4x10 5V, Premium Quiet Fan? The Bracket from Stone Age Gamer does not because the Noctua NF-A4x10 5V, Premium Quiet Fan sticks out in get in the way of the Bracket.
The problem with this setup is you can't easily remove the SATA Hard Drive or SSD to add more games to the drives because you have to remove the bracket in order to remove the SATA Hard Drive or SSD.
@@LaserBearIndustriesremoving these from the assembled kit I got is proving to be very difficult. They're extremely hard to remove and it's a miracle I haven't broken the plastic. If I didn't buy it pre assembled I probably would be done by now. These are extremely tight.

@@LaserBearIndustries I got it detached, so no support needed. Just feedback that the screws were really tight and that stress on the plastic removing them was sketchy, thought for sure this was gonna break but luckily it didn't.
Thanks for this video, finally got mine installed turned out great.

Have this mount changed any since this video was uploaded?

Can you move games from SD to SDD?
Great work! I purchased the assembled version. Will I need to do anything with the light pipe or will that already be taken care of?
We will install it for you, it may shift a bit in transit, you just have to make it flush with the top when you go to install it.
Does It fits on Dreamcast V0? My MODE is the last model, did not arrived yet =)
Why does the assembled kit come with the top attached to the bottom if it has to be separated to fit the mode in?
To pre-tap the screw holes and protect the frame in shipping

Is there an option to buy the inner mount for the TR fightstick dreamcase owners?
May I ask what are the function of the buttons. Is it’to eject the card?
Disk swap is one can't remember what the other does though
@@LaserBearIndustries Thank you
