Thumbs up if you think Mike should keep making videos like this about Cakewalk. Have used Cakewalk for 20 years and still discover more thinks I don't know about it.
Now just wait a minute. I can sing a melody and have it converted to a midi track with an instrument assigned to it? That is totally sick!!! I'm going to have some serious fun playing with that feature. I've said it before, Mike, you are da man!!
I've been working with Cakewalk for over 20 years, and I can't believe how much usable stuff I learned from this. You, sir, are a gentleman and a scholar. More please.
Okay, this is embarrassing. I'm a 20-year veteran of Cakewalk -- from Music Creator through Platinum and now CbB -- and never knew even one of those tips. Gulp. You get my vote. Keep' em coming.
That's the one I couldn't remember, Music Creator. *dripping with sarcasm*....It's not like there was any easy way to find that out. ;-) Let me edit my post... *as the crowd in slow motion goes... "NoooOOoooOooOOooo"* lol
Um easiest answer of the day: YES please keep this segment alive. I'm new and have watched a very many tutorials on my DAW.. Yours stand out for information and practical advice d and it is much appreciated.
Yes, please. The more of these "little" tips the more valuable Cakewalk becomes. I've always been a menu reader so I knew about a couple of these features, but while it's instructive to peruse the menus and click things just to see what happens, sometimes you just want to make music. Thank you for sharing.
It's guys like yourself and others who help lame players like me to keep interested, as we sometimes get disheartened when we struggle with programs like Cakewalk. Well done, please keep them coming.
Mike, I wish I could like your videos more than once. I have your Cakewalk videos saved to a playlist and I find myself revisiting them when I forget something.
Mate I'm only a month in with this recording shiz and I have to say what you already know......you're a bloody legend for taking the time to make these tutes. Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺🤘🎧
I enjoy the hardware review videos and find them very useful to keep up with new gadgets. But the "how-to" videos are my favorite and mostly why I watch your channel. More of these, please.
Great feedback Dan. I am aiming to take less hardware and software for review with this in mind, because I would prefer the channel has a better balance than it does currently. I do have a little backlog of things sent to me, but once they are done, I will address this.
Mike's videos are a legacy for Cakewalk users. Cakewalk by Bandlab community is rising and these tutorials are a must see to learn producing, mixing and/or mastering. Thanks a lot!
Hi Mike! 5. Very useful 4. Fun and very very nice feature! 3. Yes, put a number in front 2. Great feature 1. Oh my.... can it be useful for automation as well? Always great videos!
I'm new to cakewalk. I've had it for a couple weeks. If it wasn't for these videos, I would have stopped messing with it after day one. Thanks for these great tips and lessons.
I've watched so many of your awesome Cakewalk videos...and they have all helped me so much; but, for where I am now in my use of Cakewalk, this one helped me a ton! Please keep up the great work on creating these instructional. I'd be lost without them. Sincerely grateful!
I love videos like this - direct, to the point and very informative. If you're able to make more in the future I'm sure they'd be extremely popular. Also, a huge thanks to you for your continued support for Cakewalk. The music industry can be incredibly snobby at times and it's a very pleasant change to not have a great DAW dismissed because it's free of charge. A few more people with an attitude similar to yours would benefit everybody. 👍
Another great video - you mentioned 30 years experience - that's why I'm struggling to get my head around Cakewalk. Keep 'em coming and I'll be watching them
I've been using cakewalk since the W95 era (no kidding) and I didn't know about assignable controls either. you changed my life (once again). Thanks for your invaluable videos 👍👍👍
Mike, these are exactly the kind of real-world usage tips that are pure gold. Sometimes I'm sure that there has to be a better way, but I can't take the time to find it. Thank you so much!
Mind blown on number 1! And yes I have been using Cakewalk for 30 years and NEVER knew this! I LOVE your videos! I would actually pay you for your training tips.
2 Quick tips some may not know: The pro channel modules have built in presets selected by clicking on the little greyed out icon at the top left corner. And right clicking on the title bar of a plugin windows allows you to access options for up sampling on rendering or play back.
Awesome as usual. These are great tips. I have been a Cakewalker since early Sonar days and still appreciate getting tips on functions I really use. The constant updates and tweaks could provide tons of content. Please make more of these!
Of course continue!!! All vids you create are priceless from beginner to pro user. Thank you for all your knowledge you give us. Pls continue I have learned so much from you.
Absolutely 💯 thrilled with your videos. After nearly 25 years I'm returning to Cakewalk, my fist DAW I used. Mostly for midi in those days. And it's great to have your video's to help.
Man this is the best show you've got so far. Than you soo much. I've been using Cakewalk more than 30 years, these are the things I wish Cakewalk can do. Never know they're already there.
Great format. I'm able to get to the end. I always want and intend to watch the longer vids but usually end up stopping and not coming back due to life's hectic busy schedule. Keep em coming please.

Dropping old wave files of guitar or piano tracks even recorded poorly has produced surprisingly good midi tracks.
Thanks for that tip alone.
So our guitar can become a midi actuator...
Thanks Mike because of you I decide to stick with Cakewalk
