I wrote a book report about the Queen when I was in the third grade. Seeing as I'm 65 now, it's an example of just how long Elizabeth served her country. According to the Washington Post, seven out of every ten people alive today, have never known another English monarch. She was an amazing person, who lived an amazing life. My thoughts today are with the British people, and their commonwealth of nations.
She was young when her father passed and she was already doing things with her life. It’s amazing the things she did even as a kings daughter. She served a lot of people and has been through a lot.

[As-Saaffaat 37:69-72] فَلَمَّا جَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَرِحُوا بِمَا عِندَهُم مِّنَ الْعِلْمِ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ Then when their Messengers came to them with clear proofs, they were glad (and proud) with that which they had of the knowledge (of worldly things). And that which they used to mock at surrounded them (i.e. the punishment). [Ghaafir 40:83] وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ اتَّبِعُوا مَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ قَالُوا بَلْ نَتَّبِعُ مَا أَلْفَيْنَا عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَنَا ۗ أَوَلَوْ كَانَ آبَاؤُهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ شَيْئًا وَلَا يَهْتَدُونَ And when it is said to them: "Follow what Allah has sent down." First time seeing the coffin, my heart is breaking. I know we should celebrate her life because it was a life well lived but I couldn’t stop feeling this hurt to see her coffin. It’s become real. She is really gone.
Elizabeth was a monarch nit a servant. There are an army of maids, butlers, ladies in waiting, valets, silver polishers, gardeners, tailors, chefs, sous chefs, waiters, scullery maids, etc. These are servants who served her, her family, important guests and we're at her beckon call.

You neglected to mention two important things. The Queen was half Scottish through her mother and very close to her Bowes-Lyon family. Balmoral was owned privately by the Queen, built by Victoria and Albert. The family have been good neighbors and a source of income for locals for over 150 years.
And all the way back... after Elizabeth I, the royal line passed to James I ( of Scotland ), or I of England. There's Scottish blood of old. They're mixed with much of the royalty of Europe.
I'm from Glasgow and would love to have seen this one last journey but I'm glad the prosession drove down the East Coast because the scenery is second to none in the same way the Queen was.. She'll be a hard act to follow but Charles has everything he needs to continue where she left off.. Scotland wishes him well from auld lang syne-present and on into his reign.. GSTK. 👍

Being Canadian,I recall seeing the Queens picture in every classroom & in Kindergarten, Grade 1 & 2, We sang at times God save the Queen & Oh Canada & as we looked upon the Queen's picture. All BC schools did the flags at half mast to honour her. Seems like such a small thing to honour such a long dutiful monarch!

The ties between Scotland and England must be strong. The queen is in northern Scotland and they are taking her body to Edinburgh so people there can view the coffin before continuing through Scotland back to England. She was their queen also.

The queen is not a saint and I'm sure she didn't tried to be. I feel sorry for those who doesnt like her as they didn't know how it was to be in her shoe. She has to always put her duty over anything else. She did a very good job being a queen and a mother and a grandmother. Everyone must give that credit to that and acknowledge greatly what she has done. We can't imagine what are the things she has to sacrifice being the queen and a mother and a grandmother. My strong, beautiful, full of wisdom Queen Elizabeth. I swear allegiance Two times when I become British and Canadian., I saw you my Queen in Epsom Down Horse Race, so beautiful, so bright aura in the 70s....so true till the end.
I can't help but notice her coffin being carried in a Mercedes Benz. While knowing that Mercedes made vehicles and engines in WW2 that where used against the British during the war. It just goes to show how much the world has changed since she was a child. She always had such grace. As an American I'm sad to see her go just as I was when Princess Dianna who also was a great humanitarian passed away when I was a child.

I was not born when Queen Elizabeth became queen. I am now 69. This is a very sad day for the American people remembering 9/11. It is a very sad time for the English people. I see a common thread. At a time of national mourning and loss each country comes together as one, putting politics aside. Queen Elizabeth was the personification of duty, honor, country. As steady as the Northern Star. And similarly, We sent not a warner before you (O Muhammad ﷺ) to any town (people) except that the luxurious ones among them said: "We found our fathers following a certain way and religion, and we will indeed follow their footsteps, imitating."
قَالَ أَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكُم بِأَهْدَىٰ مِمَّا وَجَدتُّمْ عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَكُمْ ۖ قَالُوا إِنَّا بِمَا أُرْسِلْتُم بِهِ كَافِرُونَ
(The warner that was sent) said: "Even if I bring you a better guidance than that which you found your fathers following?" They said: "Verily, we are of that with which you have been sent, disbelievers." [Az-Zukhruf 43:23-24]
إِنَّهُمْ أَلْفَوْا آبَاءَهُمْ ضَالِّينَ
Verily, they found their fathers on the wrong path;
فَهُمْ عَلَىٰ آثَارِهِمْ يُهْرَعُونَ

And indeed We sent among them warners (Messengers). [As-Saaffaat 37:69-72]
فَلَمَّا جَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَرِحُوا بِمَا عِندَهُم مِّنَ الْعِلْمِ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ
Then when their Messengers came to them with clear proofs, they were glad (and proud) with that which they had of the knowledge (of worldly things). And that which they used to mock at surrounded them (i.e. the punishment). [Ghaafir 40:83]
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ اتَّبِعُوا مَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ قَالُوا بَلْ نَتَّبِعُ مَا أَلْفَيْنَا عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَنَا ۗ أَوَلَوْ كَانَ آبَاؤُهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ شَيْئًا وَلَا يَهْتَدُونَ

You neglected to mention two important things. The Queen was half Scottish through her mother and very close to her Bowes-Lyon family. Balmoral was owned privately by the Queen, built by Victoria and Albert. The family have been good neighbors and a source of income for locals for over 150 years.

Being Canadian,I recall seeing the Queens picture in every classroom & in Kindergarten, Grade 1 & 2, We sang at times God save the Queen & Oh Canada & as we looked upon the Queen's picture. All BC schools did the flags at half mast to honour her. Seems like such a small thing to honour such a long dutiful monarch!

The ties between Scotland and England must be strong. The queen is in northern Scotland and they are taking her body to Edinburgh so people there can view the coffin before continuing through Scotland back to England. She was their queen also.

The queen is not a saint and I'm sure she didn't tried to be. I feel sorry for those who doesnt like her as they didn't know how it was to be in her shoe. She has to always put her duty over anything else. She did a very good job being a queen and a mother and a grandmother. Everyone must give that credit to that and acknowledge greatly what she has done. We can't imagine what are the things she has to sacrifice being the queen and a mother and a grandmother. I can't help but notice her coffin being carried in a Mercedes Benz. While knowing that Mercedes made vehicles and engines in WW2 that where used against the British during the war. It just goes to show how much the world has changed since she was a child. She always had such grace. As an American I'm sad to see her go just as I was when Princess Dianna who also was a great humanitarian passed away when I was a child.

I was not born when Queen Elizabeth became queen. I am now 69. This is a very sad day for the American people remembering 9/11. It is a very sad time for the English people. I see a common thread. At a time of national mourning and loss each country comes together as one, putting politics aside. Queen Elizabeth was the personification of duty, honor, country. As steady as the Northern Star.
