    I agree with everything here :)
    But what i don't really like is the uncertainty about when you pay a expensive course if it will actually be valuable in the job market.
    I struggle to get my high school degree but i have been doing I.T my entire childhood as a form of escape & passion.
    I started at a really young age fully focusing on hacking as a escape that makes me feel happy.
    Anyway the thing is i can finish every single cert with no problem, BUT i cannot sit in a schoolbank and listen to yapping about Math or politics.
    It's a really bad flaw in my personality, but it's keeping me from having a job in cybersecurity.
    A legit question i have is if i pay for a course like the official pentest will it actually be like a degree or will this be completely irrelevant?

    • @ltnlabs
      @ltnlabs  6 месяцев назад

      I understand your perspective. The short answer to your question is yes. There are plenty of Cybersecurity professionals that do not have a degree. They did it and so can you. Id recommend getting as much practice as possible on HackTheBox and aiming to obtain practical certifications. I recommend getting ejpt, CPTS and OSCP. Also, attend Cybersecurity conferences to get to know people in the industry.

    I agree that beginners are overwhelmed with EVERYTHING. Even all the RUclips channels out there supposedly teaching ethical hacking? Like how you sound on your videos, much better than me "and you look better too LOL" but I have to LOVE anyone that is helping people learn cybersecurity 4SHO. My channel is from a totally different view that "ethical" but still very valuable as the channel is not even a month old and has blown up. But keep up the good work teaching.

      Ciao, provo a risponderti io. Sto seguendo ora il percorso da pentester per ottenere la certificazione CPTS. HTB parte dalle basi, ma se non hai mai smanettato con sistemi Linux o Windows e non ha esperienza di programmazione o reti e non hai una mente da "troubleshooter", secondo me, diventa complicato. L’hacking non è un argomento per principianti assoluti. Gli argomenti sono tanti e la difficoltà cresce esponenzialmente. Però se stai concentrato e ci metti passione e studio quotidiano, non è impossibile. Comunque devi sapere l’inglese in maniera fluente.
