Cool video! Considering rolling code in car keys, I discovered that some cars have a 'Rollback' mechanism that can be exploited using the Flipper (known as a rollback attack). Basically, any sequence of 3 or more correct key codes, will 'resync' the car to that particular key. I guess it's a safety feature to make sure your key automatically syncs again if it ever gets out of sync with the car. I exploited it by RAW capturing 4 consecutive 'Unlock' presses with the Flipper. Whenever I replay that RAW recording, the car get synced to the Flipper after the 3rd 'Unlock' signal and then the 4th one actually unlocks it. Same goes for getting the actual key in sync again, I just have to press the 'Unlock' button 3 times and the 4th time sync it back to the original fob. This works on my 2017 Seat Ibiza and I found out online that there's many more cars that have this 'feature'.

OK I have a question if someone has the answer to it. I work in a building that has an RF ID sticker that we have to put on the front of our headlights to trigger the security gate. I just replaced my headlights with customized ones and frankly, I think the sticker is ugly as sin, so I literally want to just replace that. I'm trying to figure out if I can use the flipper to emulate the RFID signal and essentially turn it into a pushbutton remote control. I'm assuming an antenna will amplify the signal? Any ideas for a clean solution?

Aaaannnd they are gone... have fun waiting 3 months for customs to stop and hold it indefinitely. pay 169 to wait 6 months to maybe get one.. or do what I did and buy one on Amazon from a private seller for 290$ and I got it in 3 days
the double price for me was worth the benefit of cutting months off the wait. who wants to worry and wait with no word of when it's coming. paying double is worth it to ensure not having that stress..
Then how r people controlling showcase tvs in grocery stores? Does the flipper just find a near by remote for the tv to control it?
It blasts out known remote frequencies. It's throwing lots of known shit at the wall and eventually some of them will stick.

mine doesnt read my access card like yours does. it will pick up the info in other ways, but it just says "ask" and doesnt respond to my keycard in that way or NFC
So you need the original key/card/remote first of all to copy, that’s no good what if you can’t get these?

Here’s two more ways to bypass rolling code for car keys if you go far enough you can safely get the signal for a one time unlock or whatever or you can use one flipper to jam the signal so the car key signal never gets too the car and capture the signal using the other flipper but you do need two I think

The encryption key of the rolling code is generated uniquely using the previous rolling code (which both devices know) as a salt.

What's that an RFID protected entry to a subway system? If you watch the door for someone leaving go up and ask him the time and linger in kissing distance you should be able to capture his rfid credentials and let yourself in no?

Really neat thing I probably shouldn’t have. It really is a Swiss Army knife. Downsides are jack of all trades and master of none. It’s got me interested in a Proxmark and esp32. I’ve got a vague understanding of how most of the functions work but it’s really shown me the appeal of penetration testing. Well worth its cost as an educational introduction. I used to walk through doors with classic social engineering but combined with dedicated hardware it’s like keys to the city.

In regards to the poor mans faraday cage, when you are out and about but need to block RF. It's a quick and easy makeshift solution haha
Def agree, it is not as powerful as your Proxmarks or HackRF but it's a nice gadget to dabble in a couple areas instead of going full out on one product.
Was in the Army a long time. Yeah, it would surprise you how often we used quick hacks like tinfoil and wire for all sorts of crap. If you have a basic Army radio, ASIPs radio or Harris 152, and you strip some cheap home depot wire on two ends, shove one in the antenna port and take the other and wrap the bare wire around a knife blade and stuck the blade into a large tree, you can, at times, talk across the entire country or across the sea to other countries. Just an example and I've seen a lot of Communications specialist use tin foil for stuff like this over my time lol. If it works, use it!!

Any thoughts on the official flipperdevices firmware versus 'unleashed' forks like that from RogueMaster or DarkFlippers ?
So in general, the $170 Flipper Zero allows you to capture a signal (IR, NFC, sub-ghz etc) and replay it back.. or run your upload own (Hak5 DuckyScript3?) script? I've seen some (unespc) that offer wifi scripts.. but that's *GHZ* so not sure if that's real!
And how difficult would it be to do all the things the Flipper Zero does, on a HackRF or a LimeSDR? Would the code need to be ported to GNU Radio Companion?
BTW, why isn't FlipperZero sold on Hak5?

@@CIaude Works great. I mean when you think about what it is. There is nothing new here as far as tools. It is nice that you can store as many bad usb scripts as you want and deploy them on the go at a notice vs 1 script per device. the card reader work well. I have collected a number of RFID door cards and used them. Opened a number of Tesla battery ports. Works great for testing RFID proof wallets. My channel is not really about that kinda thing. Still might make a video on it.

These are not hard to come by. There are plenty of them available. Great marketing on getting people to believe that they were hard to come by. Anything this does there are plenty of other things that do the same thing. This is like a Swiss Army knife. It is really cool and versatile.
it is fake, yes doorbell will copy, but the car signal well copy too but to replay the signal it wont open. it is fake, not recommended to buy. fake useless. lot fake video on youtub be aware - it will not copy cards or any worth in your way.
