Oh wow that is something new I haven't heard of! Didn't even see any mentions of the engine for this game on Wikipedia! I thought it was running on RenderWare like most games did back then.
Still to this day, when I find myself stuck against a wall in a game, I initially try to just accelerate and turn out and I think of this game every time
My favourite was Bonnie & Collide, especially after you complete it and you can go back and do it with the heavy duty vehicles. My favourite was the fire truck, I remember a few times I destroyed the Ford with the Fire Truck before it even got to the 1st tunnel!
I enjoyed all the video, impressive video, and impressive driving :D . When i was a little kid, i started to play this game, i always enjoy it, playing buses and simulating a driving around the city, taking passengers :D , well, i was using the imagination. I finished the game in both difficults, but with too much attemps :3 . Thanks you so much for this video, i'm really thankful for your work :D
I say the same, this games was never bored to me, even today, it was really well done :) . I don't understand what happend to the police because they just don't want to see me, they are really crasy sometimes :3
autoracingawesome34 I forgot to see this comment, well in the times when I was driving in this game, I didn't never knew about that there was steering wheels to the racing games until April 2005, but I don't remember the model, the keyboard was the only controller that I knew for racing games, and is the controller that I use every year, witch is very good because the time dedicated to develop the driving skills and the coordination, to trying to avoid being stopped for the difficulties and pushing to the limit, if is difficult, is better because it requieres more skills to achieve the goal. I don't mention my driving skills to avoid disturbing in other videos, just watching how the others can do =)
I don't think you'll be able to avoid some traffic if you use the yellow line as a guideline. I suggest just weaving through traffic as smoothly as possible.
Just one question: In my Midtown Madness 2 the trees around 0:45 are much thicker. Is mine maybe a different version or something? BTW great video, love it! (:
As a child i played this game a lot... and as i played the final exam like the 1000st time i crashed at the tree in front of the last checkpoint.... never played that mission again lol
hallomichistich Hehehehe :) . I remember all that 100 attempts just to complete the mision, even in Amateur it was hard for me in that times, 10 years ago. Today I back to this game and, I'm passing this mision 50 times just to be better prepared and understand how to pass it with the minimun attempts possible, to spend less time, in Professional. Curious that in the big jump sometimes you finish the jump well and other times the car is touching the road with his roof :D ......."CUT! CUT! This is not movie magic people, this is a disgreace!"

Well, it only took me two tries to get the 16th, but the 7th, I spent like an hour to get it (I lost the count of tries, but there were more than 10) Do you have the Blitz of San Francisco? The last one, I think is Coit Nightmare is a whole challenge, and I want to see how to pass it.
yeah that one is ridiculous. Gain enough speed so that if you hit anything, you'll still be over 50mph. Try and be as smooth as possible. I've had the game 10 years, and getting that one is still really difficult for me.
I play also this game in 2015, MM1 and MM2. But do you have another version? Because wehen my cars are damaged to the max, they only have black smoke, but no fire....
I just don't get it. How is your mustang so grippy ? My mustang just keeps on doing burnouts on the spot when I change from R to D..... It's so frustrating to press throttle but not move even an inch.....
Ahh, it does that when you switch from reverse to drive (R to D) while the car is still rolling backwards. You need to make sure that you hold the handbrake longer to get a full 180 rotation of the car. This way, youre actually rolling forward when you shift into drive and it won't do burnouts as much. Best of luck!
+DiegoSonic81 Ooh, that makes things trickier. Do you get a steady, fast frame rate while playing the game? On older computers the time can actually count down faster because of lag. if this is the case, try turning down a few settings in the graphics options and giving it another go

Ahh, it does that when you switch from reverse to drive (R to D) while the car is still rolling backwards. lol on this mustang on MM1 the control of the car is so different and the car cant make such drifts and its more flipable lol
