THANK YOU for the lovely reaction!🥰
It’s hard to believe that Freddie was extremely ill when he recorded this (which is why it was released after he’d passed).
    Recommendation:
Brian May recorded his own solo version of this song, and it’s one of just a couple songs that I actually prefer Brian’s version! (He was going thru a lot of emotional difficulties at the time he recorded it, and it all comes out in his singing.)
There’s also an official MV for Brian’s version.🫶

There’s actually three versions .. 1) Brian wrote the song & did the lead vocals, so check that version. 2) Freddie’s vocal version. 3) And, Brian performs the song with Pavarotti live in Italy. It’s a beautiful composition about Brian’s difficult divorce and the relationship with girlfriend now wife, Anita Dobson! 💔 ❤️‍🩹

A Brian May song. Because it was first played publicly at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert, a common misconception is that it was written as a tribute to Freddie Mercury, although it had actually been written several years before he died, and he sang lead vocal on the Queen version.

Freddie had a way of making their songs reflective of his life. What a gifted man, what a huge loss. The world was definitely a better place with him in it 👑

Such a beautiful reaction! I’m so glad you reacted to this song, it has become one of my favorites. I get so emotional every time I hear this song. Yes, it was written by Brian May and it’s the song he wrote when he was divorcing his first wife, and I don’t know all of the details, but she was entering a relationship with his new wife, and just felt torn. But, you are absolutely right, that is how I feel when I hear the lyrics and Freddie voice, you can’t help but think about Freddie and his untimely death. Especially the way, the video is composed, it tugs at my heart strings every time.

Interesting composite video! I guess it was a good selection because in the "official" video, poor Freddie looked like his death was imminent. Heartbreaking stuff. Brian May also performed this after Freddie's death, in a style that was shockingly good. ❤😢😊

My favorites by them are Killer Queen and We Are The Champions/We Will Rock You! I've never heard this particular one, and it's very deep and emotional and not expected this type of tune from them! The lyrics are so real and true , it hits you where you live! It's pretty scary but extra ordinary!❤❤I was surprised to get a notification for this video today since Thursday is a non posting day for you! Maybe I was meant to watch this video today! Who knows! Enigmatic forces at work I suppose! Goodye!😂😅❤😢

This is Brian's song, written by Brian about what he was going through in his own life. Brian has a solo version of this song that is even better than this one if you can even begin to imagine that. You should react to it because it is dripping with emotion, you will know that even just singing this song, Brian is transported back into all of the pain he had experienced. Thank you for your reaction.

This is the studio version, recorded in the late 80s but not included in any LP. Then, as a homage to Freddie, they made the LP "Made in heaven" in 1995, where they included this masterpiece.

    SUGGESTION…
Have you heard the NEW song Queen released last October:
    “FACE IT ALONE”
    Freddie’s vocals are INTENSE.🤯🫣
(Freddie recorded it during Queen’s 1988-89 studio sessions for The Miracle album, but it was just part of a rough jam session… Brian & Roger got help to extract Fred’s vocals and finish the song.)
There’s an official lyric video and an official music video… IMO, the lyric video is BEST.

    • @LMTino
      @LMTino Год назад

TISSUE SONGS for sure. No escaping the reference in FACE IT ALONE (salvaged from studio sessions). Another beauty of reflection is A WINTER'S TALE - a gorgeous last work penned by Freddie released by Queen after his death. And of course THESE ARE THE DAYS OF OUR LIVES - exactly as you said: Roger wrote the song reflecting on his own family but Queen knew in Freddie's hands, this would become something more.

This song was written by Brian May and two other writers, this version was recorded in 1989 and was due to be included on The Miracle album also released in 1989. Due to contractual disputes, it was decided not to be included. It would later reappear on The Made in Heaven album which was released in 1995 and this track was chosen as a single release in 1996. Brian May recorded his own version which was released in 1992 and is quite different to the Queen version. The song is written about Brian May's divorce and the struggle of breaking up with someone. It has taken on a different context in regard to Freddie's health as when he recorded this he was now living with AIDS.

Queen and Freddie will always be a phenomena. I sent this because it's my favourite Queen track. The next best - in my humble opinion - and definitely a tribute to Freddie is Brian and Roger's "No One But You". Absolutely a must listen ruclips.net/video/oLKyaOLb2Fs/видео.html

The Brian May version is actually better. More melancholy and personal (particularly the official video version)
Brian wrote this one. This was redone on their final album after Freddie passed. It was originally on Brian’ solo album, Back to the Light. Put Brian’ version on your phone.
Brian debuted it (singing it) at the Freddie tribute concert. There is a video of it on RUclips and you can see the pain in Brian’s face
    Sad song indeed

Freddie could emote well a song that wasn't literally about him. I've seen some unaware people assume "I Want to Break Free" was Freddie's song and about this life, but that isn't the case either.

As other people have said this was written by Brian May it’s about a very dark period in his life his Dad had just passed away there was Freddie’s illness & his marriage was breaking up Brian is prone to depression he considered at one point taking his own life so he went into rehab Brian’s version is very emotional would be great if you reacted to his version too x

I wonder where the 1992 comes from.
    a) Freddie was dead by 1992 so this must have been recorded in 1991.
    b) This song was first released in 1992 by Brian May in a version sung by him. One that is actually better than Freddies version, I might add.
    c) This version here was released in 1994 on the "Made in Heaven" Album.
My point is, however you want to put it, to put a 1992 next to this version is just wrong.
