I highly recommend Peace Corps to anyone - just remember to go in with an open mind and NO EXPECTATIONS of what your service will be like - everyone's experience is different. Also, remember there are very rewarding and very challenging aspects to Peace Corps. Prerequisites - Bachelor's degree and passing the physical, background check, you can't have any debt besides student loans........
AMAZING!!! what did you do over there. I am searching for some volunteer work in Lesotho. Could you help me with an address? I found everywhere some possibilities except in this country. I used to teach in Cambodia.
Hey Ben, do you recommend the Peace corps for someone who's slightly shy? I'm going to college next year. I've volunteered many times in local communities for a variety of reasons. I want to make a difference. I plan on signing up after college (pre-med). I'm slightly nervous about serving alone but I hope to break that fear soon in college. Any thoughts or advice?
