The most likely countries to come into existence before they finish would be Bougainville or Scotland.

I was told there used to be, in a caravan (RV), but it blew over in a storm and they said to hell with it. Fun fact: L sounding like D is perfectly logical. Phonetically speaking, a lot of languages have L and D at the same place of articulation, and both are voiced consonants, the main differences being D is 'central' and L is 'lateral'. (Se)Sotho is no exception. Basically, think of it like how the distinction between L and R isn't perfectly clear in some languages. There's lots of phonetic similarities between L and D and L and R.

I was told there used to be, in a caravan (RV), but it blew over in a storm and they said to hell with it. On the SA side, by contrast, there was a big border operation (presumably meant to keep people from crossing illegally into SA looking for work).
