Finally, someone with sense! I'm 25, and also live in Houston. I do not go to clubs, never have. It is difficult to find people our age trying to live "right". I tell people all the time, I like to have fun, but a certain kind of fun. As far as relationships, I believe God will send me the desires of my heart when HE feels it is time. I want to be married and then have a baby, just old traditional values. Until then... I'm focused on becoming a homeowner, getting my masters, growing my hair longer lol, traveling, & learning different languages, so I feel you girl.

I love it when young people live for God. The devil seeks to destroy us and so he throws awful thoughts in our minds about sex is good and if you aren't having sex you are lame or whatever. God has so much more for us as long as we are faithful. The world is so wrong everybody tends to want to fit in and do what everyone is doing.
When you said you were 21 I tuned in immediately; I'm 20 and the lifestyle you speak on in terms of being independent and providing for yourself and being disciplined and positive are some of the major things that I strive for & it was so encouraging to hear/see someone only a year older than me speak on it especially when you don't see it often. When i was high school ann early years of college people around me were always in relationships, but I wanted who God wanted for. I ended up getting married at 22 to who God had for me and I am grateful EVERYDAY that I didn't choose for myself. I agree with soo much of what you're saying, Im only 15 and deal with the daily struggle of always feeling like I need to have a boyfriend or be "talking " to someone. However I know my purpose in God and that He has an amazing plan for me. This was so encouraging and just what I needed to hear! I am 22 and have been single all my life. If I am being honest, I have always felt that life was passing me by because my standards are too high. Watching this has helped me to refocus and realize that there is really nothing that I can do or nothing that I should have to do in order to meet the person I want to spend the rest of my life with. It was encouraging to hear you say that God will present to you someone so much better than what you might try to go out there and "find on the streets!" Sometimes God brings you to a place where its seems impossible for x,y, or z to happen but it's in those moments where He allows your doubts to die and your faith to live so that you can be a testimony for the next person in a similar situation! It may be hard to be single right now and in this society but I know that if my standards are from the Lord they are blessed. The enemy may continue to place doubt into my mind but he can't curse what God has blessed. I'm holding on to the blessing! I love your channel, I'm so glad I found it!

I was exactly like you a few months ago but I slowly became tired of upholding my standards, people asking me why I never went out or did anything, why I never dated, etc. I felt more & more isolated & just tired of it. So I lowered my standards & basically said "F it" & I got caught up in a lifestyle I was trying to get out of. got caught up with a guy & completely left God. The one thing I told myself I never would do-- forget God-- that's exactly what I did. I am now starting to get back into my relationship with Him again but it's very very difficult. I wish I never left & I feel really disappointed in myself. I feel like I have to do all the work I was doing AGAIN, like I have to start all over. I thank God for calling me back to Him with open arms, but I'm at a difficult place right now. Dealing with the guilt and disappointment in myself. If you have any advice or prayers I would really appreciate it
Hey there,the first step would be to forgive yourself ,the past is in the past,also fix your eyes on Jesus,remember God loves and He's ready to help you,you just have to ask Him for help. Surround yourself with uplifting verses of who you are in Christ,for the devil attacks identities with his famous tools of guilt and condemnation.It won't go at once but persevere.At any point you fall,just get up and continue running,no looking back. The Lord is close to the broken hearted and saves those who are contrite in spirit. Phillipians 3:13-14,hope this helps
Thanks for this video. I've had problems all my life with bad marriages and relationships. Over the past three years, I've been convicted to stay single. I don't know if I always will, be it Gods will only, but I believe that the people we hang with, the crowds we are around, will move our paths in that direction. I'm VERY careful of who I associate with. I pray for all, and I minister to many, I don't judge anyone, but I don't hang with just anyone. I hang out mostly with those who are SOUND Christians. That's hard to find. I'm 58 years old. I've had near a lifetime to learn this. Unfortunately, it took that long for me. However, I STRONGLY urge young ppl to pay attention to who they hang out with and who they associate with, as to who they are going to spend the rest of their lives with regardless of if they ever marry again. God will chose your mate or and even your friends, if we let Him.

It's amazing to see how you were living for God and upheld godly standards before your current relationship and how God has fulfilled all the promises He put in your heart beforehand. I'm still fairly young, I turn 20 in a few months, but watching all my friends finding the right man, even those younger then me, it makes me feel forgotten. Omg, I’m so glad I ran across your videos. I just turned 23 and I am on my journey trying to get closer God. I have always went to church but never really tried to live for him. Since Ive been in the Bible and trying to live like the lord wants me to live, I’ve realized that I can’t hang around some of the people that I have been because I don’t want to be tempted to go back to how I was. My friends and even family members are now looking at me differently because of how I’m changing. It’s so nice to see that there are people my age that is doing whatever they can to live for the lord! I’m just waiting on him to send me some friends that seek to live a righteous life with Jesus at the center of their heart!

I really needed this! God has been speaking to me about a boyfriend I've been going back and forth with. It's a relationship that clearly wasn't healthy and I've recently found myself trying to "make" him follow God and "make" him the man that I think I deserve. Even though we have a child now I feel completely drained by just keep making this work. I know that the Holy Spirit within me is constantly telling me that this is something I need to stop! Im 21 and I relate so much! I used to feel the need to be in a relationship and maintain some friendships even if they were unhealthy, anything to avoid being alone. Now I don't mind being isolated because my faith showed me how these were pushing God away from me. And it's so beautiful cuz I find happiness in a place where I never thought I would..! Insightful vidro. I'm a single 38 yo mom. It's not always easy but God promises that He will provide all we need incl. Emotional needs and He does! Our job is to put Him and His righteousness first giving Him the chance to mold us for His glory and purpose. He knows us way more than we know ourselves and only wants what's best for us. His love and grace delivers us from the need to be loved by the world or a companion. He will bring us the right person when the time is right. In my experience it is very hard to find a real Christian good man who's not out just for themselves. But with God all things are possible if it's His will. What a great Father we have.

Finally, a topic I love so much. On a personal note, I've been celibate my entire life. I've never dated, never been married & don't have any children at all, and it all comes down to this - happily Christian & single! One of my favorite Scriptures is 1 Corinthians 7:32-34, “An unmarried man is concerned about the Lord’s affairs-how he can please the Lord. But a married man is concerned about the affairs of this world-how he can please his wife-and his interests are divided." I'm NOT interested in relationships. All I ever want is to please God and live right. I'm so fed up with my friends asking me, "Are you still single?" My response to that is , "Are you still married?" Even my own pastor said, "It's not good for you to be single at all. You should be married to a good Christian woman who also shares your faith." My response to that was (and this is going to sound so vile and evil), "If you keep bringing that topic up, I might lose my cool." He didn't say anything else to me after that (please don't me wrong - I'm not against marriage at all, but for me, being single has is God's plan and I'm alright with His plan. I'm no better than everyone here at all though). Thank you so much for ministering to me (My apologies for being so long-winded).

I'm glad I found your page I'm 25 and I just had a breakdown cried my eyes out because I have struggled between getting right with God and being in the world and i prayed and prayed days before asking God to show me what I need to do and I was doing things because I was looking for love in the wrong place listening to guys and wanting that relationship. God showed me and when I say I pulled my self from everything around me that was not for me I'm single and I was lonely but now I'm just focused on God and graduation so thank you
I have to say something as a similar Christian living abroad and very far form things which are familiar, family, friends, etc. I also had my own apartment here for about a year and lived alone. Especially if someone is about to get married, I can't stress enough how being spiritually independent with God and having your own "person" no matter how many people are in your life or what their role is is important. I have spent the last year and a half exploring the reality of marriage and key, so key to that relationship is not being spiritually dependent on anything or anyone else. You can't put weight on anyone else for what will make you happy. You can't tie anything and anyone completely. Developing is most important because you only destroy what should be good by not having the wisdom of how to truly approach life and how to see it, deal with it, etc.
I have been on a lonely road for a long time, it is not easy in this society. especially family and friends kept saying things like don't be picky etc. I know from the bottom of heart that I can't just marry a guy if GOD didn't tell me this is the man. I rather be lonely and just focus on God then marrying a wrong man.
Totally agree, it may not always feel easy but it sure pays off!!!!!!! God's grace is sufficient and they are so many stories just like ours, we truly are not alone.

Wow, me and you are on the same page right now. I'm 22 years old and I will say I've became more accepting of myself. And wayy a different person when I was save by CHRIST. Sometimes, I feel like I don't belong in this world, and feel like something's wrong with me. I'm one of those girls who is obsessed with old school music, writing poetry, being classy, different, and an overall complex lifestyle. I'm trying to get back right with GOD, because he knows the goodness of the end result of your true desire. Most of the time I still feel guilty of the many mistakes I have made. But over the years I've repented by saving grace and walk into the footsteps of GOD. I know He's protecting me from this world, and wants the best for me and you all as well. GOD bless everyone. Finally, someone with sense! I'm 25, and also live in Houston. I do not go to clubs, never have. It is difficult to find people our age trying to live "right". I tell people all the time, I like to have fun, but a certain kind of fun. As far as relationships, I believe God will send me the desires of my heart when HE feels it is time. I want to be married and then have a baby, just old traditional values. Until then... I'm focused on becoming a homeowner, getting my masters, growing my hair longer lol, traveling, & learning different languages, so I feel you girl.

I love it when young people live for God. The devil seeks to destroy us and so he throws awful thoughts in our minds about sex is good and if you aren't having sex you are lame or whatever. God has so much more for us as long as we are faithful. The world is so wrong everybody tends to want to fit in and do what everyone is doing.

This was so encouraging and just what I needed to hear! I am 22 and have been single all my life. If I am being honest, I have always felt that life was passing me by because my standards are too high. Watching this has helped me to refocus and realize that there is really nothing that I can do or nothing that I should have to do in order to meet the person I want to spend the rest of my life with. It was encouraging to hear you say that God will present to you someone so much better than what you might try to go out there and "find on the streets!" Sometimes God brings you to a place where its seems impossible for x,y, or z to happen but it's in those moments where He allows your doubts to die and your faith to live so that you can be a testimony for the next person in a similar situation! It may be hard to be single right now and in this society but I know that if my standards are from the Lord they are blessed. The enemy may continue to place doubt into my mind but he can't curse what God has blessed. I'm holding on to the blessing! I love your channel, I'm so glad I found it!

I was exactly like you a few months ago but I slowly became tired of upholding my standards, people asking me why I never went out or did anything, why I never dated, etc. I felt more & more isolated & just tired of it. So I lowered my standards & basically said "F it" & I got caught up in a lifestyle I was trying to get out of. got caught up with a guy & completely left God. The one thing I told myself I never would do-- forget God-- that's exactly what I did. I am now starting to get back into my relationship with Him again but it's very very difficult. I wish I never left & I feel really disappointed in myself. I feel like I have to do all the work I was doing AGAIN, like I have to start all over. I thank God for calling me back to Him with open arms, but I'm at a difficult place right now. Dealing with the guilt and disappointment in myself. If you have any advice or prayers I would really appreciate it
Hey there,the first step would be to forgive yourself ,the past is in the past,also fix your eyes on Jesus,remember God loves and He's ready to help you,you just have to ask Him for help. Surround yourself with uplifting verses of who you are in Christ,for the devil attacks identities with his famous tools of guilt and condemnation.It won't go at once but persevere.At any point you fall,just get up and continue running,no looking back.

Thanks for this video. I've had problems all my life with bad marriages and relationships. Over the past three years, I've been convicted to stay single. I don't know if I always will, be it Gods will only, but I believe that the people we hang with, the crowds we are around, will move our paths in that direction. I'm VERY careful of who I associate with. I pray for all, and I minister to many, I don't judge anyone, but I don't hang with just anyone. I hang out mostly with those who are SOUND Christians. That's hard to find. I'm 58 years old. I've had near a lifetime to learn this. Unfortunately, it took that long for me. However, I STRONGLY urge young ppl to pay attention to who they hang out with and who they associate with, as to who they are going to spend the rest of their lives with regardless of if they ever marry again. God will chose your mate or and even your friends, if we let Him.
Just saw your video on courtship, and I had to come back and watch your video on being single. It's amazing to see how you were living for God and upheld godly standards before your current relationship and how God has fulfilled all the promises He put in your heart beforehand. You have such a great testimony and insight. God is so faithful when we follow Him!

Omg, I’m so glad I ran across your videos. I just turned 23 and I am on my journey trying to get closer God. I have always went to church but never really tried to live for him. Since Ive been in the Bible and trying to live like the lord wants me to live, I’ve realized that I can’t hang around some of the people that I have been because I don’t want to be tempted to go back to how I was. My friends and even family members are now looking at me differently because of how I’m changing. It’s so nice to see that there are people my age that is doing whatever they can to live for the lord! I’m just waiting on him to send me some friends that seek to live a righteous life with Jesus at the center of their heart!

I really needed this! God has been speaking to me about a boyfriend I've been going back and forth with. It's a relationship that clearly wasn't healthy and I've recently found myself trying to "make" him follow God and "make" him the man that I think I deserve. Even though we have a child now I feel completely drained by just keep making this work. I know that the Holy Spirit within me is constantly telling me that this is something I need to stop! Im 21 and I relate so much! I used to feel the need to be in a relationship and maintain some friendships even if they were unhealthy, anything to avoid being alone. Now I don't mind being isolated because my faith showed me how these were pushing God away from me. And it's so beautiful cuz I find happiness in a place where I never thought I would..! Insightful vidro. I'm a single 38 yo mom. It's not always easy but God promises that He will provide all we need incl. Emotional needs and He does! Our job is to put Him and His righteousness first giving Him the chance to mold us for His glory and purpose. He knows us way more than we know ourselves and only wants what's best for us.
His love and grace delivers us from the need to be loved by the world or a companion. He will bring us the right person when the time is right. In my experience it is very hard to find a real Christian good man who's not out just for themselves. But with God all things are possible if it's His will. What a great Father we have.

I've never dated, never been married & don't have any children at all, and it all comes down to this - happily Christian & single! One of my favorite Scriptures is 1 Corinthians 7:32-34, “An unmarried man is concerned about the Lord’s affairs-how he can please the Lord. But a married man is concerned about the affairs of this world-how he can please his wife-and his interests are divided." I'm NOT interested in relationships. All I ever want is to please God and live right. I'm so fed up with my friends asking me, "Are you still single?" My response to that is , "Are you still married?" Even my own pastor said, "It's not good for you to be single at all. You should be married to a good Christian woman who also shares your faith." My response to that was (and this is going to sound so vile and evil), "If you keep bringing that topic up, I might lose my cool." He didn't say anything else to me after that (please don't me wrong - I'm not against marriage at all, but for me, being single has is God's plan and I'm alright with His plan. I'm no better than everyone here at all though). Thank you so much for ministering to me (My apologies for being so long-winded).
Amen! Another great video with alot of helpful tips, truth, and honesty. I love it when other millenials chose to follow the road less traveled and live for God. I got out of a relationship last week, and God has been moving mightily in my life since. I 💟 Him 😊👍!

I'm glad I found your page I'm 25 and I just had a breakdown cried my eyes out because I have struggled between getting right with God and being in the world and i prayed and prayed days before asking God to show me what I need to do and I was doing things because I was looking for love in the wrong place listening to guys and wanting that relationship. God showed me and when I say I pulled my self from everything around me that was not for me I'm single and I was lonely but now I'm just focused on God and graduation so thank you
I have to say something as a similar Christian living abroad and very far form things which are familiar, family, friends, etc. I also had my own apartment here for about a year and lived alone. Especially if someone is about to get married, I can't stress enough how being spiritually independent with God and having your own "person" no matter how many people are in your life or what their role is is important. I have spent the last year and a half exploring the reality of marriage and key, so key to that relationship is not being spiritually dependent on anything or anyone else. You can't put weight on anyone else for what will make you happy. You can't tie anything and anyone completely. Developing is most important because you only destroy what should be good by not having the wisdom of how to truly approach life and how to see it, deal with it, etc.

I have been on a lonely road for a long time, it is not easy in this society. especially family and friends kept saying things like don't be picky etc. I know from the bottom of heart that I can't just marry a guy if GOD didn't tell me this is the man. I rather be lonely and just focus on God then marrying a wrong man.

Totally agree, it may not always feel easy but it sure pays off!!!!!!! God's grace is sufficient and they are so many stories just like ours, we truly are not alone.
Self love is key. Not only that but spending time with God is best. It’s all in God’s timing so it’s okay to be by yourself. Learn who you are as an individual & in Christ. God will bring everything else to you. Keep the faith y’all. Agreed building a friendship and setting standards are important. ❤️

Wow, me and you are on the same page right now. I'm 22 years old and I will say I've became more accepting of myself. And wayy a different person when I was save by CHRIST. Sometimes, I feel like I don't belong in this world, and feel like something's wrong with me. I'm one of those girls who is obsessed with old school music, writing poetry, being classy, different, and an overall complex lifestyle. I'm trying to get back right with GOD, because he knows the goodness of the end result of your true desire. Most of the time I still feel guilty of the many mistakes I have made. But over the years I've repented by saving grace and walk into the footsteps of GOD. I know He's protecting me from this world, and wants the best for me and you all as well. GOD bless everyone.
