    this was my first time attempting to clean my laptop, and I just wanted to say that none of the other legion 5 pro cleaning videos were as concise and clear as yours; truly, you're a hero.

    I was having an efi pxe 0 ipv4 boot failed erroe. I followed the tutorial step by step completely and cleaned my legion 5 pro. I followed all the procedure except repasting, as I had no alcohol or thermal paste available. My laptop is relatively new, and the thermal paste is still relatively moist. I really appreciated the warnings and cautionary steps along the way, and the clear labelling of screws during disassembly as well as assembly. Fantastic video!

      @@uFixTek Really? Which Intel model did you install? I read different stories on the internet which make me doubt to buy a new one! Lenovo doesn't want to help. Did you notice improvements? The standard WIFI adapter gives a lot of lag spikes.

      Yes, we install them without any issues. Get the WiFi 7 and enjoy life.
      We have lots of WiFi 6 and 7 cards and install them as clients request us.

    Been looking for something like since a long time so thank you so so much for that. There's so much information on the web that it gets overwhelming so it was so reassuring someone doing it step by step.
    Also I had a question regarding screws. Few screws on mine ( like 2 on the ssd slot and one on the ram..maybe a few on the battery too ) just refuse to turn at all. The screwdriver keeps spinning and it's as if it doesn't get a grip. I've never messed with any of these screws so I don't really know what's going on and how I can open it up?. ;o

      @uFixTek  Месяц назад +2

      It's my pleasure my friend.
      i appreciate your support, 🫠Regarding your question, don't use the vacuum cleaner. You can use it on the keyboard, but don't use it on the fan, as it will spin the fan in the wrong direction and create an inverted voltage to the board.

    • @uFixTek
      @uFixTek  Месяц назад +2

      Sure, I will make a short video on that. You can dust-proof it by buying kitchen hood filters and some double-sided tape, then taping them to the bottom of the laptop to filter the dust. However, it won't look good. If you get regular dust mesh, those don't work; you need a filter-type material.

    does this void the warranty?

    • @uFixTek
      @uFixTek  Месяц назад +3

      🫠Regarding your question, depending the country you live in, in usa you are protected by law and can service it, without damaging the laptop.
      In the United States, the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act of 1975 protects consumers from voiding their warranties simply for performing repairs or servicing their own products. According to this law:
      Manufacturers cannot void a warranty just because the consumer or an independent shop opened or repaired the product.
      For a manufacturer to void a warranty, they must prove that the specific modifications or repairs done by the consumer or third party caused the damage or defect.

    I went to deep clean the heatsink but i couldn't tell if the black spots are burns or just b) black coating... Like in 10:36 you will see black spot in the right fan bottom grille but in the left fan there isn't, also left and right, so what are these?

    • @uFixTek
      @uFixTek  2 месяца назад +1

      🫠Regarding your question, that is heatsink paint, not a burn mark. They just painted more on one side and less on the other. The reason for the paint on the heatsink is to prevent the copper color from showing and making it look ugly from the outside. No need to scrub it off or anything, just clean it with a toothbrush.
      Should you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me.

    Lenovo laptops have Honeywell PTM 7950. Putting thermal paste on the CPU will result in worse temperatures.

    • @uFixTek
      @uFixTek  5 дней назад +1

      Actually, it doesn’t. It results in better temperatures based on many tests and services we’ve conducted.
      The only notable aspect of the Honeywell paste is its longevity, lasting 2-3 years. However, the Thermal Grizzly Extreme delivers significantly better results.
      I service these laptops regularly and have been doing so for more than 20 years. We conduct stress tests to measure the differences.
      You can use Honeywell if you find a reliable source, but I would recommend Thermal Grizzly for better performance. Even though it doesn’t last as long as Honeywell, I’d rather open the laptop once every year or year and a half to clean and reapply the paste.
      cheers🍻
