- On Today's Episode of Going Ike is Day 2 of the Bassmaster Kayak Series tournament. It's the COMEBACK!!! Day 1 was a tougher day and I never really got the big bites. Day 2 I fished a different section of the river and I got a TON of BIG BITES!!! My best tournament day in a kayak tournament EVER!!! Come on folks let's fish!!!

Watching you fish this kayak tournament, it just shows why you have accomplished so many things in the sport of bass fishing. When you first got into fishing the big bass tournaments trails and being viewed as an outsider by some, you have proven them wrong over and over. You have given a lot to the sport of bass fishing and the sport has returned the favor over the years. Kayak fishing tournaments I think is going to be a new chapter in your life, after you retire from the bass fishing that you have done for so many years. I have always enjoyed watching and learning something new from your videos.

The susky is such an amazing river. Anyone who loves the fight of a smallmouth owes it to themself to take a trip atleast once in their life. They fight like no other smallmouth I've ever caught, make sure to bring your medium power rods!

That was some fantastic fishing. I ended up middle of the pack. Believe it or not the bite got way more intense over the next 2 weeks after the tournament! We had one afternoon where it was just one after another 18-20 inch bass. I am blessed to have a veritable Smallmouth nursery in my backyard! See you in July!

Wow what a day. Live the energy! For sure better than eating scrapple!!! I recently won the Jackson Kayak USA Bassin Classic on Kentucky lake. I was using a borrowed kayak. Part of my prize was a new Jackson Knarr. Any trolling motor recommendations? Also what accessories do you think are most important?

That's not a kayak at that point. Once you start putting motors, fish finders, etc on a kayak, its just plastic boat at that point.
