She never took the liberty of making small changes while singing live which every other singer takes while performing live. This was her greatness and her way of showing respect to the music composer, inspite of the fact that she could have very easily sung her own interpretation of the tune without anyone having the courage to tell her anything!! No wonder she's the only one referred to as Ma Saraswati!!

Lata Mangeshkar was the only singer who never deviated from the original tune as composed by the music director. She never took the liberty of making small changes while singing live which every other singer takes while performing live. This was her greatness and her way of showing respect to the music composer, inspite of the fact that she could have very easily sung her own interpretation of the tune without anyone having the courage to tell her anything!! No wonder she's the only one referred to as Ma Saraswati!!
