    Hi Time Teller,not a lot can be said to ease the pain. Most people don't understand the relationship that some of us have with our Pets?to a lot of us they are as important as family members , hard for some to understand this.But this is how we feel.when you loose an animal it SUCKS. Time will be you're friend.👍

    Zelos has and is continuing to make a lot of impressive timepieces. Mostly divers, but they look like they are all built like tanks. I believe based in Hong Kong, you'd actually find a lot of nice microbrand watches being produced in Hong Kong with impressive specs other than just Zelos.
    I actually had a pre-order in the works for the Helmsman 2 in bronze with a blue dial. But, just about a month or so short of it's supposed imminent release, these things sometimes get delayed, I decided to cancel my order.
    It had all the things that would tick many boxes. Bronze case, original supercompressor style case, internal rotating bezel, dual screw down crowns, 42mm case size, multiple included strap options, lovely radiant blue dial, rose gold accents to match the CuSn8 bronze case, 300m WR, I believe an ETA Swiss Automatic Movement, if not a Selitta equiv., lots of BGW9 lume on the dial, hands, the cool internal rotating timing bezel has A LOT, and the Zelos Z logo on the 2 crowns themselves... and all for around $400 or so, changes depending on when you jumped into the Kickstarter/Pre-Order Campaign, goes up as orders fill.
    So, why did I cancel it? Believe it or not, I actually felt it had too many cool features. IDK, I kept looking at it and although overall it's a handsome piece, I felt it was somehow a bit too flashy and maybe trying just a bit too hard to grab my attention with a lot of aesthetic and design bells and whist;es.
    Sounds crazy and doens't make sense that it checks so many positive boxes that it still fails to keep me wanting it. Something just kept hitting me that it was somehow a bit too much going on.. I may regret it later, but such as it is right now.
    In the end, I ended up getting a CW C60 Trident Bronze Pro 600. Much simpler, but I think it matched my own concept of what a bronze diver should have and not going too overboard. I'm quite happy with it and it is made extremely well and performs awesome.

      Zelos watches all seem super unique, and I’m very happy with my Abyss 2- I believe they are actually based out of Singapore.

    • @khronokraze
      @khronokraze 6 лет назад +1

      The Time Teller you probably are correct with origin of mfg. Not sure if I'd get it, but Zelos is working on an interesting material for a watch case. There is a name and/or technique for this material, but I think it's basically composed of layered titanium that has been individually heat treated and then cnc milled out to form the watch case. What you get is a watch case that has what looks like tiger stripes in crazy colors that titanium can produce when heat treated such as varying degrees of blues and purples amongst others.
      Anyways, thanks for showing off the Zelos.

    • @danielefontanini2013
      @danielefontanini2013 6 лет назад

      Just like Boldr, I assume the brand is based in Singapore and the watches themselves are manufactured in Hong Kong. I was wondering though, do you guys think these watches are all tested piece by piece to that water resistance rating? I mean, above a certain point, what does differentiate a watch with a 500 m wr rating from a 3000 m watch? Both with helium escape valves, screw dowm crowns, etc. Idk, do you guys know anything about this?

    • @khronokraze
      @khronokraze 6 лет назад

      I think I understand your question about WR. I have no idea?
      And, realistically, who would be able to go down to such extreme depths and survive to come back and even tell of the results? Would you be that curious to spend serious money to an ocean exploration group or whomever is qualified and has the equipment to take your watch to such extreme depths to verify or bust the claim the watch is supposedly rated to go to? A watch company could claim to go down to 100,000m and I doubt most will ever be able to really verify such claims. For all practical purposes and simple peace of mind, all that most will ever know or need to know is that the watch is supposed to go down to the WR level it was designed to and just take their word for it.
      If you're a big company like Rolex, Omega, Seiko, etc.. they'll probably have the financial backing to back their design claims with actual serious testing and provide hard evidence and proof. But, for many microbrands, I suspect they probably dont' really have a way to test their watches to such extreme depths and just recite what on paper and theory their watch design is suppose to be able to do.
      Anyone who really knows, feel free to correct me, I don't know everything, just a watch fan taking a guess.

    • @danielefontanini2013
      @danielefontanini2013 6 лет назад

      I think testing WR is far more easy. I mean, you don't actually need to take the watch to the bottom of the ocean. There are little pressure chambers or something like that for testing, so telling if a watch can withstand a certain amount of water pressure is relatively easy. That's why I am curious about the differences in that WR range.

    The Citizen Eco-Drive Professional Diver Men's Watch BJ8050-08E (Ecozilla) has a 6mm mineral crystal, is 18mm thick, and I believe a one piece structure stainless steel case with the solar movement being accessible only from the face. It is rated at 300m and currently priced at about $200. I've often wondered if it would survive at greater depths. The Zelos definitely has a lot of unique features.

    Jesus look at that thing haha. I have to say in all honesty I really like the look of the Zelos Abyss 2. That ridiculously thick bronze case and the amazing lume that this watch has are awesome features for sure.
    This really is one of those watches you throw on when your having a 'Ahh f¥£k it, I'm going all out kinda day' haha.
    Because of its price point I won't be going out to get one of these but I do like it, I reckon Zelos pulled it off here.
    Thanks for the review Jory, another awesome watch dude.

    Jory, thanks for the dedication to your subscribers! Our caring about you transcends the tyranny of distance.🛩🚞🛳🏎 One doesn't need to be 'crazy' to wear the Abyss 2, they just need to feel like the Incredible Hulk! Have to say, love the bronze case. Quite a shift from the typical fare of stainless steel or titanium dive watches. That's one reason I am enamored with the Tudor Black Bay in bronze. As I love ❤️ fast cars, in particular Porsche 911s, I currently don't think this Zelos will fit my persona. Plus, I want to get to three to five watches that I REALLY want to own. As always Jory, FANTASTIC vid. Keep it up Bro!🤜

    An education there Jory. Never heard of Zelos before but will be checking them out now. Think it looks great on you as you have the erm let's say... stature, to carry it off. Love the bronze on a diver, recently been looking at others a Tudor comes to mind but crazy money! I would have one tomorrow if it was not for the Empire height and at around a thousand bucks, a bargain too. Nice just too thick, the lumed bezel and crowns are another great feature too. A 9 out of 10.

    Hello, i think that "the real diving watch" is at your arm...
    The DW-5600e can go down at 500m (tested) with special oil add in the case, it's a very know mod. (It work with others G-Shock) 😎
    The other watch looks great but 3000m deep seems impossible without the 2 screws down crown and a helium valve to keeps the pressure !?!? 😵
    But she still a beautiful "vintage look" diver watch.
    Sorry for my english, i'm belgian... 👍😉
    Good continuation.
    Bye.

    That watch is beautiful . A perfect tool for deep sea divers and when you are diving ( Yes , I dive ) watch size does not matter . You most be huge because the watch looks normal on your wrist . The bronze is amazingly beautiful and would age perfectly ..... by the way , that DW5600E -1V , is my default watch to a point that when I don't wear it , people ask me where it is . You are not you without the classic G-Shock , they say .

    That watch is kind of Ivicta like; kind of like a diving bell on your wrist. Great review! Hang tough brother!

    Hi Jory, I have been following you for a while now and love your videos! I am better at understanding watches now, thanks to your videos. I wanted a suggestion, If I order a Seiko SNK089 from Amazon i get charged 160 dollars instead of 71 as I reside in India! That is huge difference than the original cost, I can get a Kenneth Cole automatic for that amount as Kenneth Cole does not charge import duty. Seiko on the other hand has very limited options in India and the ones that I like SKX007 and SKX009 are with import duties. Shall I not buy Seiko and go for KC OR FOSSIL? @thetimeteller
