20:37 Yeah howdy do I know that feeling. I just finally after trying with much fail on the Hyrax 2.2, the LP version of the 2.2 Hyrax in a search for the best tire for my Class 3 VS4-10 GroundFox. Haven't had more than a few minutes but inevitably they will be an improvement over the Donuts the full 2.2's are. The only comparable tire I have is the Ottsix KLR/M which is the same height as the Hyrax LP but about 3/8" wider and the side lugs are comparable with the exception of the Hyrax having a secondary grip zone on the sidewall.
Love the channel. I really like the quality and quantity of content you put out. Now that I've buttered you up. I'm building an Injora rock buggy. I hear it's a clone of a GMade R1. It looks like it, but the drivetrain looks different. I don't want to add too much to the pile of tires I already have for other vehicles. I just got some "Kraken Claws" for it today. But haven't tried them yet. It will be the second set I have bought for it so far. The first set, I got because the looked cool and had good reviews. RCLIONS 2.2 x 120mm. They didn't like sandy. I usually play in rocky, sandy sometimes wet creek beds. I have aluminum portals on the way so it will be heavier soon. As a former mechanic, I understand the difficulty in diagnosing problems over the phone. But, could you point me in a general direction of what you would try on my build? :) Edit: Please and thank you.
suggestions... use the tire test doc link and look for the overall sized tire that you would be interested in running, then search his videos for the test video so you can see everything about it and see if it will fit your build the way you want. You can do this for a few tires from the list. Might give yourself a few tire sets as options, most buggys like this including the R1 were built for 5 inch plus tall tires especially if you are running wide capra width axles. If you run a Narrower axle or dont want to run bigger sizes that can be fine as well by keeping a shorter wheelbase. Tire insert tuning with running in the wet will be important. He does run a capra axled cage test rig for all tires above 4.75 so many videos.
I've done the Louise Champ (aka the Duratrax Deep Woods) but had already gone through the whole Duratrax catalog before Louise became available in the US. Same tires, different logos on the sidewall. Before Horizon basically killed Duratrax, Louise was the OEM for Duratrax, as well as several others internationally, like Fastrax-- Duratrax Deep Woods = Louise Champ = Fastrax Rocko.
They get 28th place. I dont like skinny tires, nor stretched tires... Try guessing my opinion about this tire🤔 I forgot to mention on the last tire test, so here it goes: this is the 101 tire listed on the spreadsheet 🥳
in this test they are too slippery, looks like compound to me. But also too firm insert, but dont think the insert will help the compound though. Insert also moving in the tire, no friction with the beadlock ring. Skinny tire can work.
"If everything is going well, get yourself to a sidehill and ruin your day." Truer words never spoken.
Some just don’t know….. This channel is fantastic!
The 4.6" 1.9 version in X2SS is inbound.
Love your style of video thank you to whoever gifted me the temporary membership
Baseline does look sharp wearing that set of wheels!!

Rc4wd makes the same tires in x2ss but 52 mm wide

12:48 you should make high clearance links and put them sideways for tire clearance.
Love your reviews!! Have you thought about testing the "Loiuse RC" tires that are on ebay from the seller LiquidRC?

Are 22" wheel normal on modern trucks? I can't figure out what this is for either
try the RC4WD Goodyear Wrangler Dura Trac they are 4.75 tall on 1.9 and i think 2.2 dang good tires and are $30

These did well compared to other X2S3, but I still think that X2S3 is RC4WD's version of G8. Built for higher-traction surfaces and longer tread life.

Mr canyon please do the new Dlux iron rock soon
While I am interested and are therefore not ruling it out, I think that deliberately removing sidelug is heresy.
RC4WD makes these as a 2.2 4.19" in case you want your truck to look like a donk.
Let's get them on 2.9 SCX6 wheels for both the rubberband look, and the sidewall stretch. Horrible. Awful.
They doing the thing sometimes often on all things most of the time
I guess the only reason for 2.2 is the cosmetcis.
After all it is RC4WD! 😁
Rhino offers narrow 25mm wheels in 2.2"
4.6 1.9 next please.
In transit as we speak.
Bling Bling… I don’t know ?🤷🏻♂️
