@@ONshark not until fusion batteries, which will take decades, n if the world did go full electric we’d be back to gas n diesel cause rare materials for lithium ion will run out especially when ev batteries don’t last long on top of all these manufacturers being forced to make evs which not a lot knows how which will cause qc issues. Then comes the nation wide rolling blackouts cause the entire powergrid will be strained. N we gona end up needing hundreds if not thousands of nuclear plants to stay afloat which they will not do cause nuclear waste. I also think that all these companies will start jumping the bandwagon of pouring billions into further development of combustion engine which some had already started doing

Despite having a soft limiter at around 4,000 rpm, this car still sounds awesome when accelerating up to the redline.
The red line limiter is at about 6,350... not 4..

In my opinion, the 6.4 is the best compromise between performance and cost.
Then there is the cool design and the fun factor. I love it!
Hellcat and above just isn’t cost effective anymore. you can get an R35 get for the same price as a scat with essentially quadruple the power potential.

Yes, the Dodge 392 is slower, but you don't buy this car to fly 300km/h, or to race on German autobahns.
A man who hasn't driven this car writes nasty comments about these American cars.
A person who drives this car for the first time will find one thing, and that is a smile on his face thanks to the v8, and also that it is simply a "boat" rear-wheel drive + heavy weight + v8 engine
This car is just for the purpose of a guy wanting to have a good time, that's all.
As an owner of this car I can say this = The car has a place in my heart and that the Dodge Challanger 392 does not play the role of "fastest on the highway" but that it keeps the word of the American muscle car. and that's the definition of a car screaming, burning tires.

I've driven 2 of these, one auto one manual. The auto felt like a fast SUV. It was good but not for me. The manual however felt like a full on proper muscle car.
I own a 2011 Mustang GT Manual. Didn't think I was going to like the Challenger because of its weight (800lbs over my car!!). But the manual is fun to drive.

I still wonder how Americans make huge engines with such a low hp ratio. In Europe engineers make 2.0l with 300-400hp. In America they make 6.5l under 500hp. Insane
This engine was brought up in like early 2000s for trucks I believe. And those 2.0liters have forged internals coming from the factory. Just look at the price between this and an NA euro car, besides the market up price, the engine costs alone will mark up the price of the euro car. In the end it’s just these cars are better marketed towards the average working man.
Plus, the 5.0 mustang puts out almost about same HP as the scat pack, but it doesn’t have as much torque. Scat pack will put out more low end torque than your small European engines and the mustang 5.0 alike, but high end power output will be lacking for the scat pack due to weight and aerodynamics. In the end if you have ANY of these cars it is a wonderful vehicle nonetheless.
Durability my friend. There’s a reason why those European cars will be worth much of nothing in ten years while a pickup truck with a big v8 in it will have 200k miles an stilll be worth damn near 20k. Low end torque and can take way more abuse because you’re not really overworking the engine even while driving at it’s limits. Easier to maintain cheaper to fix
@@trenton.tchannel1810 Man USA is a joke. Your petrol(gas) has a 94 octane and that's the highest. You typically refuel with 89 octane which is ridiculous. In Europe the lowest is 95 and standard is 98. We have also the 100octane and 150 for super sport cars. You have 50 states and and Germany is better than all of them combine.

Most people overseas probably don’t care that much because people need to get from point a to point b and you got to put gas in your vehicle regardless. The m8 starts at 130k with a 10.9s 1/4mile. This challenger starts at 47k with a 11.7s 1/4mile. The challenger srt super stock will run a 1/4mile in 10.5s and starts at 94k. Note that these cars are not designed for the same purpose and comparing them is not useful.

Great fun car but Europe is the wrong place to own one of these since most European countries tend to be much more ridiculously strict when it comes to emissions. Thank god i am in America. I would never live in any European countries.
Not really mate. It is the wrong place if one can’t afford to fill up the gas tank. I lived in Germany for many years. The roads are excellent compared to the states. Also the driving culture was better to me. As there was actual standards and good lane discipline unlike driving in the states. In which people immediately go to the left lane and tailgate there all day including big trucks. Also one could actually go to a real race track more easily than the states. So for me it was a great place to be a car guy. Where the states wins is in affordable RWD performance cars and not overpriced FWD cars.
