The Native Watercraft Titan 13.5 is not a boat that was made to put thru the surf but you know me and my crazy friends, that won't stop us from putting it thru the surf test.
On the first test (me) I launched to close to the pier and made the mistake of having the scupper plugs in so water stayed on the boat. Alex you are fearless to go through the surf under those conditions. I have to give it to you, you are a true adventurer. And that Kayak seems like it weights a ton. I think since the back flat like the 2019 Hobie Mirage Outback it flipped coming back from the surf. I think the 2018 Hobie Outback is more suited for offshore fishing because the haul design. I put the outback thru, it cuts thru but it was mild conditions, we gonna try it again

That flat butt meant to flip, you should try to get off the surf backwards, so you can charge against the wave when it's coming to smash you. This kayak has a good cutting front... in my experience the yak has to be sharp on the back as well to be able to surf out.

Great video! I need to purchase another kayak for my wife. We live in Hawaii and sometimes the waves my friends and I launch would be bigger than the pier. When the waves are small like you guys attempted, it was clear that that kayak was no match for that condition. I currently have two Hobies but my wife says they are too heavy for her to unload from the truck racks and pull down the beach. So I'm looking for something that doesn't weigh as much! But it's got to handle small chop like that, or we would only go one day a year!

My wife and I vacation in Florida every year and we’re planning on bringing both outbacks with us next year.

Man I love the suspenseful music. It reminded me of a scene from the movie Cyborg when Jean-Claude Van Damme was being chased through a field by the warlords men. Nonetheless the surf test was interesting but the outcome was somewhat predictable. I guess that’s why the light streamlined kayaks seem to fair better in the surf. Nice work!

Thanks Mal, this is wheat happens when I put more time into the videos but that's what I lack. You never know how a video will do so cutting back to a video a week and bet the house on it is not a sound strategy. Requires getting my friends together, doing drone shots and then put it all together

I guess the best option for offshore fishing is having the battery for the propeller so it helps you get you safe back when that darn Wind starts howling unexpectedly and you're just 3kms from the beach. Set that engine up and paddle back more easily.

in surf conditions. Something like the Viking Reload which is made for surf launching. Having seen a number of videos on surf launching I don't believe
there is any place for these pedal kayaks in the surf. The Titan was taking on water much faster than it could drain out through the scuppers.
The high side, wide hull and high seating position make it difficult to power out against the surf and wind.
Yeah titan was full of water when I tried, silly me left the plugs in. I just released Flint does it Surf !? We are planning a big surf showdown soon
Yeah Aliex, I watched your surf video on the Flint and it had the same issues as the Titan. Large open deck takes on water. The seating position, while not as high some, is still high enough to affect stability in the surf. Already liked this video keep them coming. How do you get the time?

Should have looked for a stronger rip current, any of y'all have surfing experience? Also, I would like to see that Riot peddle kayak attempt go through there, it's got that turned up front end that would possibly prevent the pearling. Thanks for sharing, this was a really good one!

Aliex, it makes me nervous watching you try to launch a kayak next to that pier on windy day...very dangerous my friend. Maybe consider launching farther down away from it because the prop isn’t strong enough to move that heavy kayak out past the surf very quickly....Be careful.

@@AliexFolgueira I would like to try. I paddle a Hobie that's much lighter and I think the paddle drive has much more torque. I go thru these with ease. But I would like to see if I could do it on a larger boat.
