I just bought the 2020 GMC SLE Terrain and I knew absolutely nothing about it, I just bought it cause I needed something after my last car got stolen and totaled. I really appreciate this kind of videos that helps people understand the vehicles better. This was so new for me and I absolutely love it. I have more than what I was expecting and the features that it has are so great and convenience . Thank you for taking the time and share videos like this. I will never regret my decision on the purchase of this model.
This looks like a very luxurious SUV! I am SOLD!! Let me start saving right now! I drove my friend's 2019 GMC Terrain SLE and fell absolutely in LOVE WITH IT!! I can't wait to purchase one!!
I just got a 2020 GMC terrain slt like this one. Thank you! This video is teaching me a lot. It’s been a great car so far for me, I upgraded from a Kia soul I got in High school. Love!!
I’ve got the SLE for a lease and love it. Such a nice look on both the exterior and interior. Decently fast and runs so smooth. Also love the push button shift don’t see why people hate on that! I love this SUV though Might go with the Acadia Denali next. Or Sierra if I can get a deal. GMC ftw.
You bet it has...A panoramic sunroof is a larger-than-average sunroof able to open and let in light and some fresh air. What did you think they called it? Some Buick SUV's have DUAL MOON ROOFS unfortunately they don't work in the Sun only the Moon, lol, JK.
I have the 2020 SLT terrain and I luuuuv her! I also have the elevation package. U can’t tell me I’m not a boss lady in it. The features are amazing. GMC out did themselves with this model. The sunroof is off the chain. I would really like to see what crossover is in its class.
I own a 2018 gmc terrain denali! The ONLY thing I dislike is the autostop feature. It's a huge pain in the butt. Especially when I'm trying to park and the autostop kicks in.
Hey Lola appreciate the comment. We are starting to see GM give you a physical button on some of the Buick and Chev product and its only a matter of time before they give ALL GM vehicle this button. In the meantime you can disable it by ordering this (not from GM) product below which I have experience with and it works well www.autostopeliminator.com/
The auto stop kills the engine at some of the dumbest moments. Though... the engine starts back up quickly after the brake is released (not by pressing gas pedal).
@Eric Woods the autostop feature doesn’t always kick on. It only does under certain circumstances I believe? I keep my ac running at all times but it doesn’t stop the autostop from triggering. What year is yours? Maybe they’ve upgraded it?
About 40miles, lol, jk. I have taken many of this body style in on trade with 120,000kms and they Ride and Drive out great still. PS regular maintenance prevents repairs if you buy an ex rental that has never seen a GM Garage run away if it has its service history id expect it to be a good rig!!
Hey Lee I have a video titled (Towing | Payload | Chevrolet & GMC Trucks everything you need to know 1500 vs 2500 vs 3500) in the first 5 mins of the videos I talk about gear ratios on Trucks. When it comes to SUV's there is almost no option from any manufacture to choose your gear ratios they all come this way or if you add a Max Trailer Pkg it comes with this gear ratio and that's it, but in Half Ton's and HD's there are more options to choose gear ratios. Let me know what you think, cheers!
I'm sorry GM added it to the Envision but didn't add it to the Equinox or Terrain my bad. You can disable it by ordering this product below which I have experience with and it works well www.autostopeliminator.com/
I read that if you use the "L" drive mode and bump it up to 9, it is exactly the same as being in "D" but the stop/start feature is disabled. Can any actual owner confirm this?
Because North Americans like the idea of Smaller Diesels but they don't actually purchase them unfortunately. The 1.6L diesel was the most fuel efficient SUV in North America that wasn't a hybrid but that wasn't enough as the total engine sales for Equinox/Terrain less than 10% were diesels. I personally own an Equinox Diesel and its fantastic, efficient and torque 'y glad I have it!
@@WesternGMDrumheller I'm going to see if there'a a 2019 available instead, and yes if that's out of the question then I'll check out the Denali 2.0L. Thanks for the conversation. Keep motoring.
Yeah it's not only is it straightforward it's too smart if you if you glitch out and just barely let's say shift from reverse to drive but you can do and you don't have to put on the break but never drive never have a go from drive into reverse even if you're not moving always press down in the break otherwise you're going to find that your parking brake will automatically slam on also don't open your door slightly if you're coasting or say at a crawling speed of there's a three to five miles an hour because the moment you open your door the parking brake is going to slam on and if you do that too many times you're going to find after a while you're going to have a faulty parking break or at least you're going to be getting messages about a faulty parking brake from time to time and you're not going to know why. The other thing you want to be careful about with the shifter is if you decide to sit and park and then shift to neutral to take a load off of the transmission which is perfectly fine while in traffic putting it back in the drive is not the quickest thing in the world and if you step on the gas before it's actually engaged you're going to have an instant parking brake on transmission failure fix transmission message and the only way to override that is to and even though you're getting that message you're not going to see the parking brake light on, and that's going to be very annoying and could be scary so don't ever put your car in the neutral with the brake on fixing to when the light changes then put it back in the drive without being very careful and definitely don't do it if you're waiting for, Royal crossing gates to move, you don't ever want to get caught in a situation like that. You just be aware it's not like a manual shifter you can do a few Jackie things from neutral to in gear with your foot off the brake because you cannot do that with the terrain if your shifter is in neutral and you let your foot off the brake your parking brake is going to slam on so that is going to happen even if you're not rolling but the moment you start rolling that parking brake will slam on whether your front door is open or not! you won't think it's much and you won't as you're getting used to the shifter you're going to be very careful with stuff but then your old habits of driving a regular automatic are going to creep in to your muscle memory and screw you up so always be aware you are not driving an older transmission you are driving a very precise electronic transmission. I wish some of the defaults weren't so funky like that like having the parking brake slam on that's unnecessary it should come on gradually there's no reason for it to slam on when you're at a crawl speed unless of course there's a sensor senses someone behind you or in front of you a person a bicycle a car okay then I can deal with slamming on the parking brake but just because the car is rolling a little bit under 3 miles an hour even under 1 mile an hour I don't see any reason why I should slam on, but it will and it does Now if you do it if you park on a hill a lot you will find that your parking brake will engage every time you go into Park even if you're on level ground and it takes about five or six shifts from Park to drive Park to reverse Park the drive before the system resets when you've been driving a level ground but if you're in San francisco, no it's probably always going to go into automatic parking brake on whenever you shift to park you won't have to do it manually it will just happen for you. That may or may not be desirable, so practice with it see how it operates and realize that when you when you're on a decline headed downward and your parking brake is enga.. Most important thing to do on a hill is when you're in drive or reverse in your parking on a hill and in your final position keep your foot on the break but the parking brake on then move the shifter to park. The same thing works for if you're on an incline either way when you're going to move from an incline out foot on the brake move your shifter to drive and then move forward the parking brake will automatically release that's the safest way when you're on an incline angle.. When you're on a decline angle the same thing while the parking brake is on foot on the brake move the shifter to drive or reverse whichever way you got to go first and then take your foot off the brake and move slowly let the parking brake release on its own it won't be clicked it won't be quick it won't slam off it won't mean it will gradually release, and that's the safest way to release the parking brake from when it has been engaged.
Exciting how do you change the battery in the 2020 it's very different from 2019 models and earlier, and way easier but still want to know how to do it. Also with the 2020 and 2021 model if you don't need a battery minder or a memory minder why you change the battery everything is stored in E Prime now and you can store it in your account and download it to my GMC, so you don't need to go through all that nonsense just want to know how to get the battery out and put a new one in
The battery is located on the right side of the engine compartment and their is a big bulky plastic fuse box on top of it. It's two 8mm bolts to remove the fuse box and then loosen the battery terminals and the battery brace and lift straight out.
No Hyundai Elantra is the absolute King when it comes to breaking while in motion to objects in front or behind and also adjusting cruise control to vehicles ahead of you as well as behind you. That's right if you have enough room in front of you and your car isn't quite moving the local speed limit if you have the GPS connected to your cruise control your vehicle will accelerate as long as there's room in front of the vehicle to avoid having a vehicle too close behind you to a certain point, I wish there was a feature that not necessarily a break check but it feature that could gradually brighten the brake lights to indicate a slow breaking motion to a vehicle behind you so where you could go 10 miles below the speed limit allowing the person behind you to go around and pass you while not speeding in the zone that you're in.
Now here's an important thing to recognize depending on your model and options the Denali has all the bills and whistles but the SLT and SLE do not and you want to make absolutely sure you know which one you have the standard options are you have the alerts for forward Collision and no bat and no bad and you also have a backup alert even though you still have a camera that's for the standard rear camera. But no whether or not your options in your vehicle type well actually break when it detects something in front of you are too close to you in front or behind you may have just the basis Basics which only alerts you to something in front or behind and breaking will not actually occur so don't assume it's going to happen if your model doesn't actually include it. Frankly I think it's very dumb to have the alert without also the functionality of the breaking. If you can get the wraparound camera as the option and the SLT and I highly recommend it that is fantastic. You'll avoid scraping the sides of things that you can't see.
this vehicles are getting too electrical and really killing the fun of driving ,and more complicated, not good for africa because when it malfunctions while your in the villages its trouble
