  • What are the basics of Energetic Herbalism?
How do we connect and relate our bodies, health, and overall way of being to Nature?
How does Energetic Herbalism help us to choose plant medicine in a world of changing climate and habitats?
What advice would you give to someone looking to expand their knowledge of using plants as medicine?
Kat Maier and Rosemary Gladstar dive into these questions (and more!) while they discuss Kat's new book, ENERGETIC HERBALISM: A Guide to Sacred Plant Traditions Integrating Elements of Vitalism, Ayurveda, and Chinese Medicine

It's January 18, 2022 and I just finished your book yesterday. It is so generous and actionable. I want to say thank you to Kat, Rosemary which has been a go-to for a long time, and of course Chelsea Green Publishing for bringing this book to the market. I can't recommend it highly enough to anyone interested in ways to approach a healthy lifestyle that is in accord with nature.

Oh, my goodness, healing plants sprout up on battlefields, yes they do. Poppies coloured the fields where blood was shed in the wars!
I remember a Jim Reves song, my parents played his albums, "Welcome to my world" won't you come on in....the plants are saying let me show you my world.

Coconut oil grows hair too much!. Used it as a sun oil and had to stop because as a woman it was making the hair on my body and face grow strong and thick!
But good for bald men. It is not greasy and can be rubbed in and left on.

I am a permaculturalist and in the early stages of studying, and hoping to eventually qualify as a herbalist (I live in Italy and here the regulations are pretty rigid). I love the sound of energetic herbalism, and just ordered Kat's book. I am also a little obsessed with Moringa, and along that line I also want to make a shout out for pigeon pea!!
