I was always taught to keep eye contact when talking to someone to show respect and that your listening to them. The reasons they gave is why I wouldn't keep eye contact. But that's me and how I was raised
For many ppl it is distracting to look someone in the eye while listening, many ppl on the autism spectrum say it dose not feel good to them I also find it a bit much with eye contact abit overpowering and feel ppl who give too much eye contact invading my space, A lot of nonsense talking about strong handshake and eye contact that I don’t agree with quite reserved respectful ppl are more gentle and not imposing on others or feel the need to be anything other that natural
I had a moderate stroke in 05. i dunno what part of my brain was affected, but i lost a lot of memories and had a substantial change in personality. i'm told that before the stroke, i was a terror and could attack quite literally at any moment for any reason. now, i'm reserved and quiet, easy going even. for good or bad, its me now. lol
MrsFlutterby4 _If_ you're referring to 1:12, the quote meant that the person who you think is lying will _usually_ continue talking (or ramble) and go into _even more_ detail, _trying to convince you_ that whatever they're saying is true. It's like that old saying "Who are you trying to convince? Me or _yourself?"_ lol 🌷 Adding a couple extra details (or rephrasing something) is _one_ thing, but sometimes, a person can 'over-do' it which makes it sound 'suspicious' (as if they're lying).
It means that typically people who use it a lot are trying to stress that they want you to think they are being honest. If they weren't using the "honestly" word, they are actually being honest (bc they don't feel the need to say it.) However, I use it when I'm being honest and don't want to. OR when I'm stressing that I'm being vulnerable. But usually that is stated after a hesitancy, or behavior that indicates one is nervous, shy, ashamed, scared, showing that they are not comfortable.
I though, if you feel in love there's no going to he friend again...How come you were closest friend to your ex? You're lying, deep inside you still had feelings for her.
@@glowinglicht2576In death, I am clos(er) friends with HER than with HIM: Mrs 'RDeM' is EASIER TO TALK WITH THAN WITH MY CLOSE FRIEND, MR. 'RDeM'. IT'S TRUE ! With my friend, RDeM, we either discuss Politics or Football ...AND THAT'S IT ! - (Thank you ....who would have guessed ?🤔?)
You see, there is always more than one explanation It depends on different backgrounds, context, surroundings, culture, situation etc But here for myself I love to think attraction is the case yup she loved me all along
I have to remind myself to look away from people or I never break contact. It has nothing to do with any of the things listed. I have stayed angry at the one I love for more than three days. I still love her. I detect pseudo psychology here.
All of this is very different between Deaf people. Continuous eye contact is necessary, almost...... looking away connotes an argument or dep ending on 'll art sign, person is saying, "ummm" sign language version and doesn't want to be interrupted yet.
Insecure men don't, their ego can't take it. Secure men don't give a crap because they're secure in the relationship, in themselves and know how their partner feels about them.
Depends on context. Mentioning your ex in casual conversation once in a while is no big deal. Constantly talking about them signals you’re not over them and most likely using the new guy as a rebound relationship to make your ex jealous.
If someone makes eyes contact with you while laughing,it can possibly mean that he/she might be attracted to you.. Are you sure he/she's not looking down on you? I mean,It all happens to me all the time and everytime it happens my self confidence just keep going down..

'The society we live in'? Which society is that? The world is made up of many different types of societies. Just because you think people are paying attention to your appearance doesn't mean they are. Most people are just trying to live their own lives, with things in their mind, jobs to do, places to travel to etc. Most people couldn't give two craps what you look like on any given day. Most people don't notice you. Arrogant people just THINK they do. What's the harm in having a word for the delusions those self centred people? Do you feel personally attacked? 😅 I guarantee, most people you meet!/pass by every single day aren't interested in what you look like. They have their own lives going on.

Most of these are observational opinions and are relevant only when the participant is under duress. Like eye contact, there are far too many tics, mannerisms, inflections of facial expressions and verbal cues...based on most of these, you/we wouldn't be trusting anyone, anytime soon.

The honesty statement is puzzling. If someone is honest and how do they then become liars?
