Well i dont think so.. iam myself studying psychology am in my 1st semester these are just sayings idk know if its really psychology.. but i have experimented it by myself i usually dont to makeups unless its not a special event university or place. Wether women puts a makeup or not it doesnt gonna change the thoughts of people.. For example u are young women who puts a makeup if its mild or too much doesnt matter at all u are sitting in a room with 3 other women of your same age 3 of them are without makeup very simple .. you will see people would ignore u and approach other girls.. talk to them become their friends u will be left confused u will think that when u use to be without makeup just simplicity people would not appraoch but the girls who wear makeup and stylish clothes totally opposite.. u will feel bad i know . So now my point of saying this is u dont have to inspire from these things whther u put makeup or not no body cares so better u stop caring about these things.. people just need a topic to discuss make fun give bad vibes so they dont get noticed and nobody would find their insecurities.. Those who says beauty doesnt matter inner matters let me tell u all nothing matters noone is dicussing you.. sometimes we all feel insecure from inside so we make stuffs in our minds and spread it to the society .. it brings negativity nothing else.. so those women who puts makeup alot mild or no makeup dont be afraid until u love yourselves everything is fine people may try to scare u in order to find happiness in making u insecure its not just for women its also for men.. but be neat beautiful and hamdsome always.. for yourself for your happiness
I don't think judging through physical appearance is right, there is a girl in my class who don't wear makeup but she likes to bully people and my friend who wears makeup is literally the sweetest . It just depends on the type of person they are, not how much makeup they are wearing
As a woman herself who doesnt wear hardly any make up I can tell you it's because I'm 100 % lazy lol 😅😅 unless it's for a special occasion but would never pile on make up to go the shops for example but no hate to women who does either 😊😊
I agree. For me it was a combination of it takes too much time, I look like a clown with anything but the tiniest bit of make up and my mother was very beautiful and didn’t need make up so I never really learned to use it.
true! hahaha me too... I've tried many times to get into the routine and the like of having all that stuff on my face...I just feel like wearing a mask... well, even with just a little make up...it's just not me!... and I'm also lazy to do it every day.... I gave up
I can only say a woman of character can wear make up too. Don't judge women for their looks in this 21st century for God's sake! Thank you, girls with or without make up are all good ❤️
If I don't apply makeup than it means I am secure about myself, I think I am beautiful enough to be seen by others If I apply makeup than it means that I think makeup is an art and it should be seen by everyone, talent shouldn't be hidden
That also means that we are very comfortable in our own skin . I have seen my friend who cant just step out without makeup because she is so insecure of her face while she is prettier than me even without makeup . Once you start putting on makeup regularly it kind off becomes a habit or your layer of confidence over your face
@@hellbreaksloose420 that’s so true, also once you start wearing it people will get used to it and when you don’t wear it you’ll look different to them as if something is missing.
@ジウンさん yes! My face feels dirty when I’ve tried wearing makeup. I feel fresher. I tell my friends they look better and younger without but they don’t believe me. I do like a light lipstick though.
As an older lady, I only apply moisturizer & can shower & leave the house feeling like a million bucks. I like being confident & rely on character in myself & others. Everyone has their battle scars so looks are not that important. It's always, what's inside & how a person treats others, that count.
I do very little or no make up. And I am woman of good character. But I do not believe that women who do make up are of bad character and not so good character because usually women applies makeup to boost their self confidence, to feel good, not to impress anyone.
I never wear makeup from childhood till now not even a single lipstick neither do I spent money on makeup , if I buy , that's for my mom , and I'm more confident with my ugly natural skin cuz this is who I am . And idk how the fake beauty boost someones confidence
@@bravequeen77oh really and I don't know why it bother u anyway ? It's just our choice everyone have different choice and I love doing makeup, wearing pink dress . And I don't do it to hide my insecurities , I just love this. So stop discriminating people , earlier people use to discriminate Tom boy girls and now girls doing makeup.
@@bravequeen77 maybe I have taken up it in a wrong way but in ur comment when u say how can fake beauty boost someone confidence, I just feel u look down to those people who do makeup
Sometimes women wear make up because of the opposite, they are insecure, not vain. Men usually can't tell the difference & just plainly lie about not liking makeup, of course no man likes makeup caked on in obvious layers, but given the choice between little to no makeup & a full face of it 99% will choose a full face of makeup. Also, most of these are blatantly wrong & appear to be written by someone with very little life experience. Why is the makeup industry a trillion dollar industry? Why are there models who make their living not only off a face of makeup, but a fake body/touched up, to the point it doesn't even exist in real life in most cases? Why has this intensified over the years? From SI Models, who were touched up, to IG Models & Kardashians, who don't exist as portrayed? The evidence is overwhelming, in culture & everyday life.
Judging a woman by how much make up she wears is of low character on its own though ...Vanity isn't described by make up only ...natural can also describe it when the face that wears it is an arrogant proud and shallow b*** ...Sorry ...
@@julielea8344 couldn't agree with u more. I met someone online & then after a few times of dating & hanging at his place says " I like natural, beauty comes from within". Very true. But u met me wearing moderate makeup, then u say u like ala natural. Which is it.? Trying to change someone's appearance? His previous ex was ala natural & looked a bit masculine. He was somewhat effeminate but didn't wear any makeup. Just womensvred underwear cause Saud it felt more comfortable? Makeup enhances our features & flaws, aged spots, freckles, etc; done correctly. Not overemphasized. Look at the before & after photos of actresses in the mags & then there's the Red carpet. What about all that ?! They get "worked on" to look acceptable for the public.
@@julielea8344 and i don't think psychology had to do anything with it. It's stupid to judge a woman based on the make up. Like some women have social media career based on make up tutorials, fashion, etc. And they definitely aren't insecured lol. Just cause a woman doesn't do make up doesn't mean she is secure with her looks or a woman who does make up is insecure. Let people do what they want if they aren't hurting themselves or others
I'm a make-up addict, bc I LOVE IT, bc it's artistry. I'm an artist (drawing/painting). Make up is not always about hiding, putting on a mask, sometimes its just make up. Why overcomplicate it.
I am an artist, a painter, and I use strong colours in my paintings. but when it is about me, I like to be genuine, authentic, and I feel comfortable in my own skin, also if a man likes me, he likes me as I am. I do not want to cover up. Is a kind of hiding the reality, the truth. That person will see me in the morning, after I wake up, and after will see me , painted, after spending 2,3 hours in the mirror. I will grow old while doing the make up.I will observe every blemish, every wrinkle, and I will grow old and sad. Like this, in a no make up zone, I am happy, and feel wrinkle free, and no blemishes.Even young women with make up look older, because everyone imagines they look good because of the make up. Why waste my time?
I only do my brows, wear mascara, and light eye shadow on my lids. I stopped wearing foundation about 5yrs ago, when I decided to embrace my grey hair. No regrets
I have seen in my office where one girl looks modern full of make up, wears modern dress and colleagues used to think that she doesn't do any house work. But actually she gets up early morning at 5 am, cleans her home, cooks and then come to office. Whereas another girl wears ordinary dress without iron, no makeup just puts powder, hairs are not combed properly and comes to office as if she doesn't have any time for such things, but later came to know that she doesn't do any work in her home. So we cannot judge anyone by looks.
Listen, I'm 54 and jave an office job. I like to put makeup on and dress nice for the office without overdoing either. I feel refreshed and I have no problem going bareface. it's just my choice. A woman has a choice to feel confident in however she wants.
@rebeccamd7903 And/or look. There's a spectrum here. Sometimes makeup can be a disguise. And, so can a beard and sun glasses etc. Regardless - it's a spectrum of disguise. A beard is just one you wear all the time. Imagine a woman who had never seen her man without a beard. (To me they look so similar nowadays. That guy could shave and it would be the first time she's really seen his face. It's amazing the ways we can physically/visually transform ourselves. If only we spent half as much time on doing that within ourselves, our health, our relationships and connections. Who knows where we might be.
I've never worn makeup and wore natural colour on my nails. In my opinion for me it was about being authentic, I am who I am and theres no bs. I'm 64 now and my skin is good.
My ex did minimal make up, or no make up at all. She was cheating me with 2 other guys, and flirting seriously with 2 more other guys who had girlfriends. Still her character is good? I'm not suggesting her personality is bad in other ways, but this breaking of trust is a no-go for me.
Hey. I know that was a general and true statement about women who wear little makeup. But I wear makeup to hide the sick and tired look I have due to dealing with Lyme.💚When I don’t wear makeup, people are like, “Are you ok? Are you sick.” 😂And secondly, I have excellent character. It’s how I ended up marrying a godly man. 💪🏼 It’s how I have very little friends because I choose real friendships based on truth. And last but not least, I’m southern. So, this girl likes and needs her makeup.🤣
Darling, you wear makeup, like many or the most, to look nice and healthy. I think the headline aims at women or girls who plaster make up on in the Instagram style. If they are young, that's OK as they discover themselves. Time after time life kicks in and one does neither have the money nor time to donn a Hollywood makeup. And when you get older you will focus on primers and rather little and natural looking makeup. Good everyday makeup should not be seen much, only enhance your good features and perhaps hide a few flaws.
Ladies, Thank you so much for your comments. Enjoyed them all. As a 46 year old southern woman. I find myself, the older I get the less I wear. Married 25 years, My husband calls me beautiful everyday. I only wear a good fountain, powders, lil blush, mascara and some chapstick. Lol however, my 14 & 15 year old daughters get on my nerves w/ makeup. I ask if they would like to go somewhere or we have a girls night dinner out😊 it’s like … I’M! WAITING!
if pple chide u about it, especially from church, ask them to read about esther and rebekka ! they wore plenty of makeup, jewelry and fine clothes! true, it was their character that shone through, but wearing those items does not make one a sheister or a prosty...
Not wearing make up does not make that person any better than those that do. Also, some women wear make up to cover blemishes or scars. Look at the heart and stop looking at the outward. Some adults still have a lot to learn.
thank you. Melanex screwed my skin up as a teen. now it's discontinued but the damage is already done. I'm 38 and cannot confidently step out the house even to take out the garbage without makeup on. most times i rather someone else take it out or i wait until night to take it out when it's dark. it stripped my pigmentation from all over my face except around my eyes making me look like a heroin addict/raccoon for years. it depresses me and has ruined my life. wish i could sue them. but it is what it is. i have no choice but to wear makeup. i also have infertility. i just have problem after problem but the infertility I can say I don't want children as a cover... but i can't still go outside without makeup. a lot of ppl wouldn't leave home if makeup got discontinued worldwide. trust and believe
I have always worn make-up because my eyebrows & eyelashes are so fair you can't see them teem that with very pale skin & I look as though I'm seriously ill, so please don't judge us fair girls, we do what we need to do.
The problem with difficult friends is you never know if they are your friend or they are strangers pretending to be friends or friend acting like a stranger either way.. These are called difficult people.. It take a lot of effort just to keep up how they feel... 😵😵😵😵
Well, I stopped applying makeup, as a time saver. Now, I'm used to no makeup and use very little and usually, when I go out. With that said, I admire women and men who apply makeup so beautifully. I love both faces, with and without makeup. So fun to accept and to allow, and to not judge. Perspectives, opinions and choices are wonder-filled and wonderful. 🤗😎😍💞🌼
Well I like to do my make up because I feel like it’s an art. I do make up for photo shoots faced, wedding special occasions etc. if someone likes to wear makeup who cares! Do your thing!
I love how people judge girls on the basis of their makeup choices. Those who don't apply makeup automatically become "natural & good-hearted" whereas those who choose to do become "fake, insecure & deceptive".. If only this trashy society could focus more on an individual's inner spark rather than how they choose to express themselves from the outside.
Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. If a little make up help you to look better go for it. I love wearing lipstick that goes well with my complexion cause my lips are a little dark.
I was into makeup as a teenager. In my 20's I decided I didn't want to be bothered with all the touchups, e.g., having to reapply lipstick, and wondering if my mascara was smudged. I had more pressing concerns.
women who wear makeup are equally capable in life, infact not everyone can do makeup, dressing up n fixing face is just what makes us as women feel nice for the ocassion or in general day to day life
I am a woman who wears make up but can go without makeup. I am a woman of substance who is not defined by what I choose to wear and how I look. My body is the shell that I adorn that houses my soul. Women who wears no make up sometime don't know how to..either way no room for judgment or assumption. Never undere or overestimated a person by their appearance.

I cannot tell you how much I agree with what you say. Unfortunately it wasn't in the cards for me. My ex husband was always "shuffling" for a new deal. After he deserted me because I was no fun, he got married 5 times . ~I'm at PEACE in my life. ~~KARMA!
@@sonyavincent7450 yes he was!! I was number 2...I never remarried...but boy he sure did...and beat on all of them. Would you marry someone who had been married and divorced 5 times? Hell no
As a woman who used to wear makeup most of the time in my twenties, i can say at 32 the reason i wear little or no makeup nowadays is *BECAUSE I'M TIRED ,LAZY AND AINT GOT TIME* .. I dont know how i used to wake up abit earlier than usual so that i may have time to contour my cheeks and nose, draw on my eyebrows, wait for my foundation to dry so that i may go in with my concealer.🤦♀🤦♀😂😂 I think its also an age thing with women, younger women are known to wear more makeup. I'm tired of these silly stereotypes
Finding someone who's flaws you can live with is the clue to a good relationship. No one is perfect. Also be sure this person can live with your own flaws. This comes from someone who has been married now for over 31 years.
This is absolutely true because I've seen alot who don't wear makeup no matter how they look- and that's brave. But for me I look very tired and pale and makeup gives me color and healthy look and I feel better about myself especially when I go out in public or stores and places of business where people are dressed up and made up. If I go there bare faced it looks like I'm uncivilized and disconnected from life. Plus i love putting it on its amazingly fun! At home though I love being without it lol!
There is nothing wrong either with women who do or do not wear make-up...And, it should be the concern and preference of the individual woman exclusively, and not the general public... We spend far too much time judging and commenting on what others do.
😂 less makeup or more makeup doesn’t speak about any women's character. How immature one should be to draw such a conclusion? Judging someone’s character by make-up talks a lot about the character of the one who is judging instead of the one being judged!
Ya it does .. woman who wear more makeup are less confident. They can't leave the house or face the world without it .. that's why they came it on to feel good about themselves
It's what's in the heart that matters, not whether or not a woman chooses to wear makeup or not. Some women are blessed with beautiful skins while others need a bit of makeup.
A lot of women do need make up but the trick is to not wear too much but accentuate what you have. Most women do wear it, but master the 'no make up make up look'. My husband doesn't think I wear make up but I do, most women do!!
Love this. And all the facts! 💯 And I LOVE how you put that: the ‘no makeup makeup look’ I guess mine is really good skin care, then lashes and liner. Lips are usually just Vaseline and I love to accentuate what I already have 💄
I have never applied makeup, don't even own a lipstick or a nail polish but that's doesn't give me the right to judge others who do... Dont judge others, respect others ideas and beliefs but believe in yourself without having any ego. Am trying to achieve this balance for like forever.....
I never put makeup materials on my face/body through my 21 years of life & wish not to use this for even once. I feel like if I do makeup or use something like gorgeous dresses or ornaments, I am just faking myself & this is not real me. I should not be like this.
It's what is on the inside of a person that counts! PERIOD! Even some women who wear make-up just don't know how beautiful, or amazing they are, but that doesn't make them any less amazing! I used to wear a lot of make-up, but as I get older I'm finding it less appealing, but when I wore makeup and when I don't, I've always been a deeply kindhearted person. But I will say, less make-up means more time to do other stuff that is more important. P.s. JESUS IS LORD AND THE ONLY WAY TO THE FATHER AND TO HEAVEN!! ❤
I use less makeup as I have gotten older. I am more secure in myself. I don’t need the mask to feel better about myself. But each to their own. I have a friend who is very confident that loves makeup and is very 50s retro, so the lips and eyes are always done and she looks fabulous.
I don't think makeup has anything to do with character. This thought sounds so misogynistic.. i wear zero make up just coz i am too lazy and i am not financially independent. That doesnt make my any better than those who do. You can know someone only when u get along with them , not by the looks. Looks are mostly deceptive.
Woman who wear very little makeup is not afraid to be authentic. She has decided to not care what the world thinks of her, because she values her own joy and self security. If she puts on a " little " its just because she just wants to feel better for herself, its like getting a pedicare or a massage. Makeup does not rule her.
A person is not defined by their outward appearance, but the inner person, where character resides. I wear no makeup, and my sisters wear makeup, and I don't judge them by that difference. People, learn to appreciate someone on the basis of their character and values, not the makeup, the hair or the dress they wear.
"Don't Judge a Book By it's Cover!" If woman wear makeup it doesn't mean they have bad character and if woman don't wear makeup it doesn't mean they have good character... Some women who don't wear makeup are those who don't know how to apply makeup or they're lazy who doesn't care for themselves as well. Most women who wear makeup are those who doing it for themselves, it's called self love and self care as well...when woman maintain themselves.
women who wear makeup allll the time are incredibly insecure. if you can't go out to the car unless you are fully made up, you need to rethink yourself. They wear that makeup as a wall...
As a make up artist this isn't true. Some women avoid make up because they simply don't know how to do it. They feel like it's too much effort, or aren't comfortable with putting color on their skin. Then you have those that loved getting dolled up, they feel more feminine, they love color and the art of it all. women have been wearing makeup since the beginning of time. The face is a canvas, do you.
I like the ppl who get hype putting on makeup. Like they throw themselves a whole entire party over it. I do not have that much fun putting on makeup. I feel like a kid w/ finger paint. My vibes to try harder for makeup is Bob Ross & quietness. Only add version. I'm not even about to try and take that long. I remember working in clubs tho. It's dim in those places. Bout the only time I really caked on ish. Also, i think its funny when dudes mock fake lashes
I'm a Forensic Psychologist and I barely wear makeup. I want too but I can't put it on right. You are absolutely right. Some of us want too but are horrible at it.
In our twenties we experiment and find who we are. By our thirties we find more interesting things to do it becomes less important. We do make-up for attracing potential partners. As life gets going, family, travelling it takes a backseat to more important life. I think everyone is beautiful, everyone. Have a great life everyone. Always be kind.
I stopped wearing makeup when I went to college. I was just too busy and it didn’t fit anymore. I feel great after a shower, and apply a moisturizer or sunblock, and chapstick.
While I agree that no make up usually means more self-confidence and perhaps more honesty, it can also mean a tomboy, or simply someone's style or not wishing to waste time applying it and to spend money on it. And for the ones applying it, it can become a hobby, art even. (I don't wear any makeup, except for certain events like family weddings, and I usually wear lip balm, if that is considered make-up)
As a woman in her mid 50s , I was raised in a religion that sees makeup as degradation to the women. In my 20s, I learned to apply makeup after leaving my parents home. To this day I feel uncomfortable in a “full face” of makeup. I am ok with mascara and lipstick.
It's a misconception, you CAN go through life without having to make the choice that scares you. This very concept can lead to self medicating and low self esteem. It's better to gently ease into new territory and change. I'm old and can attest, stress only causes negative reactions and c a n be accumlative to our physical body. Many humans now have autism and social anxiety. These traits can not be pushed. Stay in grace as best you can , that really is one of the secrets to a great life...

Yes that’s true most of the times girls who do less or no make up doesn’t find praising or Rejections on their appearances ,but still character is something everyone creates by their own experience and thoughtfulness.
I can count the number of times I’ve worn makeup on both hands and I’m 64 years old, my thought is if you don’t like the way I look then don’t look at me, my husband says I look better without it
What did you want to say with this statement? That you've a good character? And women who put makeup aren't as worthy? I don't put makeup myself but I don't support this ridiculous thought.
The older I get, the lesser makeup I wear. Does that make me a better person? Let's just say that the older I get, the more relaxed I've become, the less I am concerned of my appearance...I simply couldn't be bothered unless I am going to work which is just as a matter of presentability and self respect
Flavours of different flowers. Each flavour creates a different mood ,each mood has different colours and different vibes but with one goal , takes to pure joy.
My sister was a “More the better” person as for me “Less is better for me”. She would tell me to wear more make up and I never listened to her. She was a “girly girl” me, I wasn’t and I liked it that way. My mother was always telling everyone how my sister was so beautiful and me not so much. I didn’t care, I was used to hearing that all my life.
Not wearing makeup doesn’t mean the person is nice or friendly. A women that doesn’t wear makeup is ok with her skin and has a natural beauty about herself. Not judging women that wear makeup, it’s a personal choice. Many women hide behind their makeup, mask , fake hair .
I agree with all your comments, it's so true. I'm a person that puts very little makeup, I love the natural look, and yes I do have a great personality n good character. All the best to you.
I agree with those below, some women who wear a lot of makeup are very insecure about their appearance and often have low self esteem so don't write them off as not having a good character, that's just not right. On the other hand there are of course some women who are very vain and lavish on the makeup...just look at their character and not what they're wearing on their face, in other words 'don't judge a book by it's cover'...it's what's inside that counts.
For years, the number of times per YEAR that I wear makeup can be counted on ONE HAND with fingers left over. Why don’t I wear makeup? I have a variety of reasons, and that was even before the pandemic! Wearing a mask in public is simply yet another reason not to bother. As long as I’m showered or my face is washed (on between-shower days; the way I live doesn’t necessitate daily showering), my hair is brushed, and I’m wearing clean clothes, I’m good to go!
If you really want to understand women you must understand this basic fundermental: "A womans perception of the quality of her relationship is not important to a woman......its everything!"
I almost never use make up because I feel much better without, and also it’s more convenient. I feel my skin is more happy without. And I save a lot of time 😊
The funny thing is when I was younger I wore loads of makeup, and it's only now I'm older that I realise I didn't need it. Don't hide yourself, girls. You'll only realise just how much you had naturally going for you when it starts to fade. Make the most of it now!
I wore makeup in high school sometimes and I wore makeup when I was an office working gal. But later on in life? I dropped the makeup. I beleive in being yourself. When I had rock bands and performed on stage I wore makeup. Not in normal everyday life. I'm a brunette so I already had dark features. I don't want to look like someone else. The men I loved in my life both died young. So, I'm alone in my older age. It's hard sometimes but I prefer it.
Women who use little makeup are very secure in their own skin and very capable at playing the game of Life!!!

Simply put, the things that were important years ago are not important anymore.
@@gardeniagirl1374 True that! Sad, but true.

I figured out years ago makeup is a waste of money and time. And a lie.

Most of the women I met with little or no make up are indeed of good characters. They are simple being with no vanity of their looks.

That part. I love what you said and I agree. I love makeup too , but I can live with or without it.😊
Great comment !
I'm an artist and I don't wear make up.
I do get your point though 👍
I've worn makeup since I was 17yrs old, I'm now 70 and still love to wear makeup, it's my sense of pride, but not to a fault.

I have never worn much makeup, even when I was super insecure. Makeup doesn’t define anyone. It’s just a way to temporarily change the way you feel.
Makeup is an art, but not all have to be artists!
If that's you in the picture here you're definitely wearing make up and you look great!
@rebeccamd7903
And/or look.
Rightly said
I've never worn makeup and wore natural colour on my nails.
So would u go with a woman who wears a lot of makeup to get better results?

Say what you want, but Gary was a show man

Not wearing make up does not make that person any better than those that do.
Also, some women wear make up to cover blemishes or scars.

In our twenties we experiment and find who we are. By our thirties we find more interesting things to do it becomes less important. We do make-up for attracing potential partners.

My sister was a “More the better” person as for me
“Less is better for me”. She would tell me to wear more make up and I never listened to her. She was a “girly girl” me, I wasn’t and I liked it that way. My mother was always telling everyone how my sister was so beautiful and me not so much. I didn’t care, I was used to hearing that all my life.
A husband can do one of two things for his wife: Make her bitter or make her better.

Also, I find that as I age I am less interested in how I look to the rest of the world, so, no makeup.
If you really want to understand women you must understand this basic fundermental:
"A womans perception of the quality of her relationship is not important to a woman......its everything!"

Makeup has nothing to do with a negative or positive aspect of someones character.

Make up or not it's just appearance, it is not a reliable indication of characters.
Other than moisturizers,I haven't used make up in 20 years. Makes life very easier.
As a woman who wears no makeup; its because I live in Florida where its always hot and have a physically active weekday job.
