Vellum paper is little rough compared to smooth ones ..vellum is good for sketching,drawing and smooth ones are preferable for painting ..overall vellum with fine tooth is preferable for me

BRUSTRO 200 MEDIUM SURFACE 200 GSM we can use it for hyper realistic drawing instead of BRUSTRO BRISTOL ULTRASMOOTH 250 GSM

Depends on ur skill level. It's difficult to add small details in medium surface paper. So, for hyperrealism go with any brand's bristol paper.
