I've been living alone for the past 25 years and I find it the best years at least the best adult years of my life. The freedom is wonderful, I can do what I want whenever I want, I can have all the pets that I want without someone else complaining. I can watch whatever movie I want without having to agree with someone else about what they want to watch. There's so much more that I can add to this but I really don't think it's necessary. Maybe just one thing I am very happy and content with my life. I'm 74 years old and wouldn't have it any other way ! Thank you for a good and interesting video
1. Being your own - Live on your own ( for freedom ) 2. Emergency back up ( assistance ) 3. Loneliness killer ( isolation , dissconection ) 4. HOme maintenance ( home assistant ) 5. Housemate can cook ( very important ), could be children, grands, servant ( sense of Peace , comfy , cozy , warm, joyfull ) 6. Empty Environment , empty vibe ( nature sound enjoy nature) 7. Stay Connected to others ( community , course , park ) 8. DO hobby ( gardening , walk , chess in park ) Those success , they dont listen , they read . time so valueable , listen latter on
Hi April ~I live in a 55+ senior housing low income so the rent doesn’t go too high and everything, the apartment is mine alone and it’s fairly nice I like the layout and have overtime figured out what furniture works good and what I like ~~my time is my own, except….. The first day I came I was in my camper van~ was parked in my spot and a neighbor parked in her spot next to me and got out of the car and immediately swore and hit my van. Then when I was taking a nice soaking bath I am leisurely washing my hair and rinsing ~whenever I wanted to… I heard her in the hallway talking loudly about how horrible I was to be using the hot water… she was trying to disparage the others from befriending me but it was too late because I was befriended to them right when I got there to look at the apartment. This woman then proceeded to continue on a campaign that she had started with the last resident that was in my apartment to drive her away and it worked and I ended up needing to get a lawyer and to warn the management that they shouldn’t be putting up with this woman doing these things she had made my life so miserable and ugly here….. But I endured and ignored and just dealt with it and now in the hallways she smiles at me and stuff but you know I still don’t take baths/showers in the morning like I’d like to like everybody does. It’s like living with the evil witch in the closet. I ended up changing the bedroom that was next to her bedroom into an office/studio/guestroom and it only do enjoyable activities in there knowing that she’s only inches away and ready to be ugly. Then there’s the others that have their own problems and they seem to be spilling out into the hallway and into other peoples existence. I know that this is like that everywhere, but when people get older and they don’t have anybody else to bother they’re gonna find somebody… I would prefer to just live in a house where I can choose to have people come into that house and be pleasant and when they’re not it’s time to go… Not so with senior housing so choose carefully.
