  • My continuation of this series looking at the FZ2000/2500 bridge camera.
In this video I look at how to use the manual exposure mode, use the best metering mode for your scene and how to use the highlight/shadow curves to affect contrast changes in your image.
Plenty of on screen illustrations and examples.

In the next video I will be setting the scene for recording video

Hi Graham, a really nice summary of this All-in-the-Box Camera. In german forums are the FT2000 often unliked so all swear of the FZ1000M2. For me are the video capabilities of the FZ2000 however better in my use case (Weather, Lightning Strokes, Fog).
Thank you for this nice series

Thank you Graham. I always learn a lot from your informative videos. I have an FZ1000 and would prefer to shoot more in Manual, but worry that over-use of the back control wheel will give me the grief that my old FZ200 did, when it failed, out of warranty! Mostly I can get round this by using the Q menu button. Trouble is, it's so slow to navigate, so I resort to S or A modes instead. Anyway, the 1000 is a great camera. Thanks again.

Good day! I have enjoyed your guides and suggestions for the FZ-300 for several years. Nice to see you continuing with other cameras and comparisons. Recently I did buy a new FZ-2500 for those situations where light was not favorable for the FZ-300 or some of the new features are missing. I took your advice about reducing the Sharpening and Diffraction Compensation on. I see sharpness is improved. I am curious if you have done more testing and included other setup choices in combination? Whatever thoughts on this subject are welcome. I shoot ultra closeups of flowers and long zoom for birds with both cameras frequently. All the best!

    Dear Graham,
I hope I am at the right section of you very informative channel
I have a "system error zoom" problem with FZ2000.
when switched on, zoom is not extending and I get "system error zoom". message.
And I'm concerned about trusting the services to take them apart.
If they open /unscrew parts and they may charge something I may not
need it or break more parts than what exist in reality. And most of the
services electronic items returned comes back with more problems and or
they need to be taken to the services again and again.
I don't know what to do?
    I appreciate your further suggestions
    thank you in advance

Hello Mr. Houghton, I learnd a lot from you're video's !! But I have a question about the 24-480 mm F2.8-4.5 Zoom Lens from Leika. I try to make images a bit better with Darkroom. But in some case' s I get a realy strange effect when I open a image. The image is deformd, and has a big vignet on the outside of de picture. I can crop the image but the I lose a lot of the picture. Some one told me that is the fault in the lens of the FZ2000. But when I open the jpg file all is wel. Is this an error of Panasonic ??

Hi Graham, thanks for the informative videos. I have a FZ25000 and would like to know how to initiate back button focus rather than using the shutter button half press method. Can't seem to find how to do this in the menu. Thanks.

@@stevenperkins4239 I'm not sure that single point AF is available in iA mode as the camera is allowed to determine the most likely focus points from the 49 area it monitors.

No, do that in post processing. Don't let that put you off the FZ2000/2500! See Claudinchenchen's channel for examples. For the best viewing see on a 4K TV, the results are sensational.
