  • A truly masterpiece of one of the greatest rocker of our time, a perfect ballad for this Valentine's week. This song is difficult to play, despite the slow tempo, or maybe just for this reason: playing long notes, following the drum kick, give the right value to the silences, paying attention to the dynamics variations are some of the musical aspects that make this tune a solid exercise for improve the playing. A good bass player plays the right notes at right time, not a rush of sixteen notes for the entire song. That's the big fundation that my music theacher gave me. Thats why i think this song teaches more to become a better bass player than others that seem more complicated technichal wise at the first glance.
    I hope you enjoy it!

Thank you so much, Romain! This bass is a Camarota Supertone, made under my request by the italian luthier Alfonso Camarota. I wanted an instrument that was the combination, on one body, of two of my favourite bass tones, that of the Precision and that of the Stingray. The result is this bass, that has a variuos range of sounds- (P, PJ, J 60', MM). Check the Camarota site for this and other beautiful basses ;) camarota.it/
