      Some (not all) Zimbabweans are too stuck up and proud..annoying as fuck. Especially those who make a bit of $$ or immigrate to other countries. When they make money they automatically believe that everyone else who is not as privileged as them is not working hard enough or is beneath them. Monied or not one must always have core values and not treat people like shit..You find that some Zimbabweans go to SA with the mentality that they are superior to the natives and are unkind/condescending and this leads to friction and things like xenophobia. As a South African who has travelled and lived in many countries and experience different cultures around the world, I am disheartened by many of the comments on here. Tendai is Zimbabwean, he is South African, he is African. I love all people and I must say I am not at all surprised by the comments made by a few Zimbabweans because it's the same type of vibe I get from them almost 90% of the time when outside SA. They can be so cold and unwelcoming especially if you say you are from SA. Having said that my favourite Africans without a doubt has to be Mozambicans(not sure if I spelled that correctly) every time without fail they give you love like nothing else, they will go beyond for you and I mean every single one that I have ever met..no exaggeration. God bless the people of Mozambique and I hope they can teach us where they get that love from cause it's absolutely unreal..shout out to South Sudan as well. My Africans are amazing. @rakgadim.mohlala1324 6 лет назад +6

      Xenophobia is everywhere(there is no excuse for it) and it did not just spring out of SA, it was just highlighted more because SA is one of the few country's in Africa that has not failed after liberation(peaceful transition of power by heads of state), so anything done by SA is looked over with a magnifying glass. It's even worse in Europe and thats not an excuse to be rude, What I dont get is we share a boarder with Moz as well but I don't see them acting a certain type of way. Don't shoot me it's just my experience, I have spoken to my Zim friends about this and surprisingly they agree.

I live in Europe myself & have never had of anyone being burnt with a tyre because they are from another country yet they are the same ethnicity? So fyi Zimbabweans & other Africans have suffered a lot at the hands of South Africans who hate seeing others thrive simply because they are educated & are getting jobs that the uneducated South Africans cannot do.

SA and Zim are cut from the same cloth.

    • @Charmylee
      @Charmylee 6 лет назад +3

      Rara, to be honest all Africans are cut from the same cloth. We all have to unite. Gukurahundi was because of Mugabe being tribalistic. He wanted to create divisions between Shona & ndebeles but we are united as a country & we have done a lot for other countries when things were ok in Zim. We are a friendly nation. Maybe you have come across a few bad apples. Anyway all the best

      People like Beast are an asset to the country..They contribute in a meaningful way..Its senseless to want that type of immigrant to "go back to their country"..That's the foolish mentality Mugabe had, he expelled a highly productive group of farmers because of their skin colour.Yes land reform was needed it could have been done in a better way..He used to divide people based on ethnicity..Shona/Ndebele look at Zimbabwe now

      Unyanisile mntam, be dicing a loo nto nam. Ukudlala ibhola qha. Ndifunde ndayityekeza but I never made it. Is education the right way, these days? How can we advise our children. Life is about sport, not degrees. Graduates have no jobs, no money to start businesses. Tenders are for Whites and those connected. Where do we go from here. But Tendai made it, just using his body parts. Congratulations to him.

      I hear you boy! I can only encourage us to keep on striving. I know we are hard workers and we are even harder workers than many who have made it in life. Many things do not make sense about life and certainly, like all wealthy ppl overseas admit (since local ones say hard work this and that), life is unfair. I my normal life, reality is that success was attained by selfish ppl at most (say 85% plus) with a handful selfless ppl making it up. It's a phase SA went through which only Jeremiah the prophet helps me understand, even the Proverbs of Solomon. I even gave up on Chemical engineering, never getting opportunities, stagnating in my old job. Went to business and all hell broke lose, all the while you'd be listening to celebs telling you how they 'bumped' into opportunities, or watching those you groomed ascending right ahead of you with greatest acceleration.
      I'm jobless, selling my house, ppl have committed suicide, surviving by my faith. That's life. As long as we know that we took the right decisions and did our best, wherever we are is not because we didn't do best, but some other factors about life since we do not control everything except our faith or attitudes.
      When I said I wanted to stay in Durban, it was when most South Africans were oblivious of the beauty of that city. Here I am, stuck in the concrete jungle, lol.
      Was writing BComm's Business Mgt via UNISA today and I must say: I got heartbroken to see those many blacks sitting for exams and almost cried. It was my 1st exam in 12yrs. It said to me: Look at how many blacks are doing business studies, yet where are all these blacks and those before them in success! Nowhere. It's the world of politics and connections and even the right type of tribal connections in especially in Gauteng. Add illegal immigration woes to it, it gets worse.
      We shall overcome someday. But we need to also do our best to respect our own black entrepreneurs, for there are many such who have been robbed and destroyed by fellow blacks via PHD syndrome, the very reason outsiders ganged up to defeat us.
