Gotta tell you sth. You're doing good with your video, please don't apologize for the shaky camera. You try to give some information, which is more important than a shaky camera :) Keep going!
Thank you so much for the kind words! My newest video is more stuff about the iPad, it’s also a little less shaky! Improving slowly but surely! Thank you Caner!

Appreciate your video of your set up. I appreciate the idea of keeping the main screen clean and how you have it organized. May I ask how much storage you got for you IPad and if you feel that’s sufficient for using the apps and saving your work?
They there Ton! I appreciate you watching this video! I have the 11in Pro, 64GB. It works fine. But I am looking to upgrade soon. If you are working with photos or video clips, even large design files I’d recommend getting a bit more space or a nice SSD to work off of.

This is a very useful video, thank you! :) I'm a UI/UX and product designer and I want to get the Ipad pro 11'' 2022 to be able to sketch easier as I'm currently doing everything on a macbook pro. I'm definitely going for the Affinity compared to Adobe - same thing, vastly different prices. :)

Hey are you using a 12.9 inch iPad or 11 inch ? Also which iPad size would be best for a graphic designer? Great video though 👍🏻
This is the 11inch iPad, And it works just fine. It really depends on exactly what you are wanting to use it for. I am looking to upgrade to the larger 12.9 with more storage soon. But for now, the 11inch has been great too. If you have the budget, I’d say go for the larger one.

Hi. Great Video! I'm looking into getting an iPad for my son and was wondering what size memory yours had and if you thought it was enough. I'm looking into getting a pro with 256GB for him.
Hey there! Great question. It kinda depends on what he will be using it for. I actually only have the 64GB version and I really want to upgrade soon. It works, but because I do a lot of design and photo editing on it...I could really use some more space personally. I think the 256GB is a safe bet.
@@WestonWoodfin Thanks so much for the response. Knowing that you have 64GB for reference helps. He's still in the very early stages of design and photo editing. We'll be back for your tutorial videos. Thanks again.
@@1x5bricks53 for drawings, watch Gal Shir videos....for studying and note taking, watch all Samuel Suresh videos....some uses Canva app for graphic design......and Pixelmator and Lightroom for photo editing...not sure about other illustrator vloggers for iPad Pros...most of them don't show in depth tutorial that is step by step with many playlists for each app.
2018 iPad pro 12.9'' 256GB is more than enough and there are many 2nd hand online and check its serial number then enter on apple website to check if original......if money is not an issue then go to latest. He'll also probably need apple pencil 2, silicon cover for apple pencil and matte screen protector.
If your son already have macbook...check Luminar AI and TopazLabs AI....and sidecar and use ipad pro with apple pencil ffor highest precision for masking, dodging and burning photos and annotating....vs just using mouse.
iPad Pros are high in color accuracy. Delta E is the measurement of color accuracy...the color displayed by screen is compared with target color and measure the difference. The lower delta e the better and 0 delta E is the most color accurate but does not exist. Most reference monitors are 1.5 to 1 average delta e in color accuracy. iPad pro 2018 is 1.1 delta e ave. and iPad Pro is 2020 is 1.3 delta E. Delta E of 1 is target of most reference monitors. Below 1 delta E can't be percieved by human eye. Above 2 average delta E is poor color accuracy. Each 0.1 delta e is big difference. The Pro XDR monitor is 0.68 delta E average. Anything below 1 delta e is toptier reference monitors...most refrence monitors are 5k-30k USD. So having an iPad Pro is like having a portable reference monitor but cheaper. MiniLED iPad Pro hasn't been tested yet for delta e but most likely same or better than Pro XDR display so it's delta E is most likely less than 1 which is the same as most expensive reference monitors for films and professional works where color accuracy is important. Most reference monitors bloom and the pro xdr monitor of Apple has the best blacks for nonOLED displays at 0.04 nit measured by PC Mag using Color Checker. Basically, the blooming in XDR miniLED iPad Pro is the least blooming you can get for nonOLED displays. OLED tablets have perfect blacks at 0 nit and infinite contrast ratio but have many negatives like screen burn ins, flickering due to PWM that can make some dizzy esp for big displays, fast color degradation of pixel since it's organic and tint shifting. Samsung tab s7+ is poor in color accuracy...2.4 -9.2 delta e in color accuracy so everything an artist draw using android tablets are fake in color and will not be the same when printing...same with movies and photos, they won't be the same as creators intent if the display is not color accurate with delta E of 1-1.5 or lower as much as possible. Also, miniLED iPad Pro can sustain high brightness with no damage or degradation that happens in OLED. OLED is bad for tablets, laptops and PC monitors. 1000nits is the standard minimum brightness for HDR contents like HDR photos and HDR videos from iPhone and from streaming services like Disney+, iTunes movies (not downloaded) etc. MiniLED iPad Pro can go up to 1600nits for highlights like Sun looks like real sun or your photos with bright sunshines or super bright lights looks like they're really their in front of you emitting bright light to you.... and when all the screen of iPad is at full brightness it can go up to 1000nits at whole surface area of screen so True HDR is possible. OLED tablets and laptops have peak brightness of less than 500nits for laptops and tablets to protect them from damage of screen burn in, image retentions that make the screen unusable...and color degradation etc.
Watch Teoh on Tech's latest video where miniLED iPad Pro is better than 4000USD reference monitor. Both of them have
@@1x5bricks53 watch TeohYiChie's video ''iPad Pro vs Tab S7+ (artist review)'' to see about color accuracy.
All the best apps are exclusive to iPads and do not exist in android tablets. Those apps that are in android have better features in their version for iPads and are more optimised. Even uploads of photos using FB messenger or other messenger apps are not heavily compressed using iPhone and iPad....even Snapchat and instagram...there are videos about how in android, snapchat and Instagram is crappy. Let alone financial transactions are much safer and private using iPads and iPhones...and online shopping and web browsing is better in iPad Pros and the photos in the websites and apps look closest to creators intent. Apple Music with lyrics are also great in iPads...soon will have spatial audio too. Spatial audio is exclusive to iPads and iPhones like when watching movies using airpods pro.
Thanks for telling ur camera is shaky I thought I am dizzy 😂
Which size of ipad is this? I'm considering getting the 11" size but can't decide if that would be too small a surface for design work. Yours however looks big enough, seeing it next to your hand and you running the pencil on the screen so I was wondering if this is the 11" version you have or the 12.9" one?
This is the 11inch, however I am planning on upgrading soon and I might get the 12.9. I think it depends on how often you will be taking the iPad around. For travel or commuting, the 11 is perfect. However, I work full time from home so I don’t take my iPad many places, therefore I’d prefer the extra screen real-estate.
@@WestonWoodfin that's a good point, thanks so much for the reply and for the really informative vid, it's very helpful as I'm trying to figure out if an ipad would be helpful for my work, does look like it's a great tool for graphic design ✌️
Great video! What’s the iPhone case you are using in the thumbnail photo?
It’s a phone case from Moment! Look up Moment’s Olive Phone Case.
Thanks!
Hi, this is a really good video and well explained.
Just have a question, I’m starting school for graphic design, however just I’d like to ask you if necessary to get an iPad. Im thinking to buy a Mac because so far I have no computer, however watching your videos make me wonder whether I need an iPad as well.
To answer your question simply. It isn't necessary. A computer would be more useful to you in design school. However, the iPad is becoming more and more capable. If your budget allows, get one knowing that it is just another tool for your design "tool kit". If you have a tighter budget, get the laptop for now...iPad when you can!
Awesome thank you so much !!!
Do you think is better to get a laptop or wait for IMac with the new m1x chip?
@@jhonfernandezbeltran3056 when do you need it by?

Hello, great video!
I am interested in your workflow in Procreate, especially for creating collage pieces. I hope you'll find the time to produce a video about this topic!
Also... in your opinion, which one is best between Procreate and Affinity photo for collage workflow? Thanks!
This is something I have been wanting to do for a while. I still plan to eventually! So stay tuned! Personally, I think procreate is the most user friendly when it comes to making collage pieces…and has the easiest learning curve. But affinity photo being like photoshop allows you to do more and have more control…just depends what you’re looking for.
@@WestonWoodfin Thanks for your answer! Looking forward to it!
I used illustrator on ipad but Vectornator is MUCH better and FREE. I would Recommend Vectornator over Adobe Illustrator

Hello, Thank you for watching! There is actually, its called Affinity Publisher!

I don't like subscription software. What apps do you use to get a graphic design job?
All of the apps from Affinity are a one time payment. They are the closest thing I have use to Adobe products. Give it a try!
Bro please share the wallpaper of the homescreen.
Yeah, a tutorial on the Affinity Design would be nice. System requirements, blank canvas, moving a file from Procreate, etc…but maybe with a less “uhm’s” 😜
I just bought an ipad m1 11". Do you think 256gb is enough for the same work like you do? And for using all those multimedia app?
It’s a fair amount depends on how much you will rely on it and how graphic heavy your files are. I personally will upgrade to at least 1TB
I want to buy a pc for that ...msi prestige 15 or dell 9310?
Should I get an iPad Pro or m2 pro
Will use it only to design graphic for t shoirts
Can you vectorize on iPad ? To make posters and flyer for example
Sure! You just need to use a vector based program like Affinity Designer or Adobe Illustrator for iPad
Ok, another question. Lets say you created a logo, not for a particular client but you still like to sell it. Is there an app for it?
You can sell you logos and work anywhere! Some designers use their social media platforms, others use sites like Fiverr…
Which app do you use most in illustrating and graphics?
I probably use Procreate for almost everything except if I need something vectored.
Where would you suggest to begin getting back into design when finding clients
Well what type of design do you like / want to do? You should definitely start there and begin to build a portfolio of work you would like to do for other people. For instance, if you wanna make logos, start by making logos for random or fake companies, and post your work somewhere for people to see. Then you can start reaching out or you may have clients reach out to you!
Do you use paperlike screen protector or any drawing screen protector. Ty
I don’t have a Paperlike, though I would like to test one someday. I have a matte screen protector that I got off Amazon. It was only like $15 and it has works great for me!
Does the it have scratches when using a apple pencil. Because I heard that the paperlike scratches like crazy with the apple pencil. Btw I subbed, and ty for the quick response 😀
