I love these sessions..and content overall. You guys helped me pivot in my career and not only land the highest paying job I've had yet, but also through your teachings I more than doubled my profit from last year in my own business.
Well done.
Great stream! Loving the set too!
Thanks Matt.
Yes is amazing!I watched for many times 👍🥰
It's good to pay attention to the feedback but sometimes I have noticed people just bash without any substance
either ignore it or reprocess it
Positive feedbacks make us feel empowered and the negative feedbacks make us grow. I was hesitant to click on this one but always gain so much value.
why were you hesitant?
@@thefutur My 2cents here : It was the length of the video for me. Kind of "Not sure I have that kind of time right now...". But such a blast, always !
idk if anyone did an actual scientific study on the impact of positive versus negative feedback in performance and motivation. i think it may depend on the activity. in war you need both, and more of negative than positive.
as many people tell here in the comments, after 10minutes of this video already got some value. I am into thefutur for just a month and a half but I can already feel a big change in me, my business and my life in total. I appreciate all the tons of work all over the years. thanks that there is something like thefutur. love u guys.
Thank you. Welcome to the Futur
I absolutely love the Whiteboard sessions. Chris always tries to paint the worst case scenario possible to roleplay that brings a lot of value to the video. Keep doing it. Love it!
the dream scenarios don't provide for a lot of learning opportunities.
The content is extremely valuable and practical!
And not even in the creative sector, in every sector you can use this practical theory.
biggest insight: inner critical voice and the link to your childhood. Made me think and understand some of my triggers better.
Glad to hear
I'm only 10 minutes into this video and have already learnt a few things of great value so thanks to you Chris and team! Only 1hr 20 to go. Better grab a notepad.....
Haha. Thank you Stuart. And maybe popcorn.
Love how you built in Psychology into the feedback topic. That inner critical voice and the fear; things I’ve gone through but never really had self-awareness around it. Ty for always inspiring to think more critically, further and bigger. 💪🏼🌿
Thank you for posting this, very helpful! I've definitely dealt with the inner critic and emotional flashbacks.
There are a few of things this video causes me to reflect on:
1) Criticism usually comes from those who are doing less than you (I had to ask myself "Where am I doing this?" so I'm not doing it too).
2) Sometimes people have valid feedback, so I consider it. Doesn't mean I ultimately have to agree with it, and sometimes I lean right into or past it if it makes sense.
3) When I get scared of doing something or feel like my ego gets dinged, I have to ask myself "What am I doing and why am I doing it?"
Yes!! The whiteboard session! For every single one I block my calendar, get my notebook and a pen, and I am fully immersed. Thank you for such great content! 🙏
Thank you
I love these long form video sessions
The recycling triangle analogy reminded me of _my_ habits: keep doing nothing and _recycle_ your beliefs. 👍 Very sustainable.
I love these whiteboard sessions. It's taught me a lot. I've managed to quit my job and follow my dreams. I'm glad to say I'm doing okay and I'm hoping to to excel more and more. Thank you the future team. 🇵🇬😇
Good luck
Thanks for the content! I am doing some business planning now and I can definitely see how being able to observe and critique sans judgment is going to be paramount. Keep the applicable info coming! 👍🏼

Best of luck to you
So grateful I stumbled across this video because it described my exact dilemma I was having trying to understand why the feedback I was receiving in art school wasn’t helping me actually improve my thesis project in any coherent direction. Thank you so much for this sessions, it was incredibly valuable and brought me out of a really difficult depressive slump.
You’re very welcome

Love this whiteboard session, we learn things that are crucial for marketers and in general. Thanks, Chris Do. ☺
Great video! Already taking notes👍💯
The video is cut in phases, but I don't want to cut/fast forward... I might miss something. Sometimes I paused, cause I lost my focus and even rewinded.
Great influencer, teacher... Unbelievable how you can make me keep watching this stream.
Appreciate it Bram.

Love putting these on and just learning in those free moments I have during the day
I came home low bcuz of negative feedback received at work. Thinking everything over n over again and feeling i don't deserve to be a designer, at the same time trying to be the best, it is whole of a storm in my head. Thank God i watched complete stream. Wish he was my boss
hello Hani.
Always so useful and right on time, after receiving feedback from my boss which just killed my energy and my effort at work...

Hey I'd just like to say that your videos have really opened my eyes. And I'm starting understand my self better because of your videos. I don't want to sound to dramatic but I feel like if it wasn't for your advice and teachings, I would have quit chasing down my dreams.
I'm so glad! Thank you so much and don't quit!
Great topic! Love these whiteboard sessions!
Appreciate it
Fantastic advice! At 1:25:30, you mention the "Critical Voice Exercise". Is there another RUclips post where this is explained?
No. I talked about this in a workshop.
Such fantastic content about critical feedback. This showed me a lot of the biases I didn’t know I had.
Finally a proper long video.
this is really helping improve my business. its beyond a blessing to gain and have this informarion. thank you
fabulous session - can't believe how you managed to reference the last air bender! totally cool. I can very much relate to having to watch my tone.. it's a cultural thing.. some people can find it flippant or dismissive but it's not meant that way. I've taken that feedback onboard and pay more attention to my tone when coaching/teaching/presenting especially if I start getting tired.
Thank you 🙏
Loved watching this. Thank you
love the whiteboard sessions, watched/listened to almost all of them, big value 👏 please keep it up Chris ^^
Thanks
Always learning something new! Thanks, Chris!
It’s a free therapy for me. Thank you guys!

Giving and Receiving Remarkable Feedback!
Been dealing with a troublesome client this has definitely given me more tools to deal with them!
Glad to hear
Keep bringing these white boards!
we will make them if people keep watching them Jan.
Loved the first story used to kick off this episode. Chris Do made the executive producer accountable for his "opinion" of the quality of the team's work. He couldn't just walk up to Chris and make an uncertain statement like, "I'm not sure if they're doing their best work." I think this is the thing about "opinions." Many are given "freely," w/o actually knowing , being deeply involved in what's happening, or understanding the context. Because an opinion , to these people, costs nothing. They're not accountable for the results of their "advice" or "view." They don't have a stake in the outcome. Chris made sure the producer had a stake in the outcome.
love your channel !!! tysm for sharing all of your knowledge and motivating myself and others.
Thank you.
Great value throughout the whole video, thanks Chris.
You’re very welcome
Im so grateful to you Chris
It's always valuable to get a feedback, but you've got to know how to deal with different types of feedback! 💯
