Not sure what “5278” means but I bet it can be used to identify the Red Tesla. Teslas probably have proximity tracing features, similar to COVID tracking features on the phone, to help Tesla identify unidentifiable cars.

When we were racing electrics in the 1990s, we were playing with multiple sounds. Besides a high performance engine, you could use the sound of a locomotive train, an afterburner turbine engine, a cartoon put-put-cough, a team of horses, etc.

@@jvm5th motors are basicly only limited by amps and rpm. At some point it will burn up. You can only get more performance if the driving circuit isn't already running 100percent of what the battery can offer. In electric bikes the most popular way to get more juice is doubling the voltage which in theory would also work on cars if the drivers can handle the higher voltage.
@@peterzingler6221 "The power electronics are superior in the 1120980 motor. Model 3 Performance models all have this motor number. The 1120990 motor is less powerful so it’s impossible to increase the power by 150HP. The Boost 50 module is the maximum power for this engine."

@@GamingAmbienceLive yea no shit they can still lock it, thats not what i was saying. he was talking about not knowing what they will update/change, and i said that you can choose not to download those changes. plus they wont lock a car unless its stolen, all they do is disable the warrenty and stop the super charging.

If I’m not mistaken the performance model 3 got an over the air update to bring its numbers down to 3.2 sec 0-60 times and the dual motor with performance was brought down to 3.5 sec 0-60. I’m curious if your upgrade stacks on that, also can I still do over the air updates? How does it effect autopilot?

I'm curious what the overclocking does to the range of the car and the life of engine
extra performance requires more power, this reduces the range but the motors should be fine for the life of the vehicle
The motors are brushless and have basicly no part that will wear out except bearings. The battery's are another story
@@xTatsuran model 3 will auto reduce power if motors get hot, battery high current drain is more what I'm worries about, motors should be fine

They gonna check GPS data from the red car (as its number plates are visible) and use that data to find location of this road in the forest and the time when it was filmed and then just search for blue tesla that was on that exact location in that exact time period. ;)

@@LordOfChaos.x You don't realize how many performance-level German cars are in America. The neighbor across the street has two AMGs, both less than two years old. There's a E63S at the other end of the street...German cars are everywhere. Although perhaps less now since Tesla is pulling market share from the Germans. I expect the trend to continue.

What year is that blue m3 ghost upgrade? I have the 2019 M3 AWD LR and I can’t add the ghost because my motor is a 990 instead of 980 :(
This is really incredible and huge step for performance enthusiasts. Improving your car's performance is a huge part of the culture, and it is something that electric vehicles have really not be capable of doing until recently.
That being said, I'd like to know more about the specifics of the upgraded "ghost" mods.
What exactly was being changed in the modification?
How does it impact battery life?
Are there any unintended side effects (aside from the obvious warranty void)?
Not trying to poopoo the accomplishment, but in order to see the "big picture" as you described, you should really give us the "whole picture" as well.
what about discharge safety if that battery explodes while your running hacked firmware then i dont think that's on them anymore

@@1slurr719 in this case the battery isn't a concern but breaking the electronics on the motor is, and newer AWD cars won't even let you do this (as much anyway) as there is hardware physically missing on the electronics.

It appears to "unlock" performance mode out of early (2018) AWD with the 980 rear drive units only.

evs are actually way dirtier than gas cars. you already have the fuel burned generating electricity to charge batteries. then theres the oil that goes into making the batteries and getting rid of them when they go bad.

Regardless of where your electricity comes from they are greener, and as the power grid continues to decarbonise they will get even greener. SR+ doesn't have two motors from what I know so making it this fast is quite probably impossible.

Nice! Question regarding the stage 1 upgrade. If I already purchased the 2k tesla performance upgrade will the stage 1 module further increase power and reduce 0-60 mph times lower than the stated 3.8? If so, have an idea of approximate 0-60 times with combined tesla performance and stage 1 upgrade? Here in So Cal and would love to lower my 0-60 and show my fellow tesla drivers. Thanks!
I was under the impression that the 2K performance upgrade was the stage 1 upgrade? So as it's just a firmware "tick box" from what I understand, it would make no difference as both would just activate the same performance settings. Each upgrade does not really "add" power but just changes the settings so everything is allowed to use more power.
It's the same hardware. So whatever parameters this hack changes the upgrades DO NOT STACK.
Either just do stage 2 or don’t bother. A sidegrade at best.

The two cars have the same motors and batteries so there'd be no difference. The performance just has different software, brakes, wheels, spoiler. It might even be slightly slower compared to a hacked AWD due to it being a few pounds heavier (assuming different wheels).
