    For edge coating when using any vinyl plastic based material. Run a lighter flame delicately around the cut edge and any fuzzies will sear off and give you a cleaner finish.
    Lightly run the flame, like be careful it’s not like searing off a zipper, you’re just trying to hit fuzzies.

    I've got this pattern and super stoked to make it!! I am IN LOVE with the organization of this pattern. I'm trying to figure out how to go about using cotton for the exterior, where I can. I'm going to make one with faux leather exterior and cotton lining, just to get the feel of the pattern. THEN I'm going to go all out on one for myself.. I'm so happy you showed this bag. ☺️❤️

    I’m so happy you did this video. I wanted to make this pattern so bad. You tut is pretty quick for the length of the pattern. Idk why the lining gusset part (1:11:00ish) why the seam allowance needs to be split like that. Wouldn’t a butterfly stitch work just the same to decrease bulk there?

    • @carylhalfwassen8555
      @carylhalfwassen8555 Год назад

      Wouldn’t the stress be on the stitching alone rather than reinforcing at point of strain as this technique does?
