Cricut A3 Print Then Cut

hello. thanks for a wonderful demonstration. id like to try print and cut for the first time. but i don't have the printer. so I guess I'll just get my design printed locally and then take it home for the cutting part. is there a specific paper / thin card that I need to arrange using. or is it pretty broad as to what its able to cut please? i need a Light Grip 12 x 24" mat and will need to calibrate. I'm intending to cut an artwork for a controller fightstick thanks for reading
