Very informative and well researched program.
Mathur community is fond of music, art, food and shero shayri .Girls were given special training in classical music ,Bhajan, gazal or other lighter forms in addition to the preparation of variety of special dishes .Chunri (specially designed Sari)is also peculiar in Mathur families. Culture (tehzeeb) is the integral part of Mathur kayasth familes. I still remember our Dadi,Nani and other elderly ladies using proverbs and beautiful vocabulary in their conversations .

I would add another illustrious mathur family to your list !!
Mr Mahesh Shankar Mathur was the first Indian Inspector General of Police UP, in 1950s, the longest serving Chief of Police, in UP !!! He served under all the Chief Ministers and Home Ministers from Pt: Govind Ballabh Pant, the first CM to Chandrabhanu Gupta, till mid 1960s when Mathur Sahab retired.
His second son Vijai Mather also was the Chief of UP Police as the DGP, during late 1990s. He was last known to have settled down in Lucknow after retirement. He had also served in a secretarial appointment in the Union Home Ministry. His younger brother Ajai was an IAS officer of MP cadre and had served in the Union Government.
This family was very close to ours since mid 1940s onwards.
    With best wishes
    From,
    Rajan Ugra

Later in Lucknow, the families would would often socialise. My father and Mather sahab's friendship was known all across in the UP bureaucracy !!!

Sir...the same case is with Ambastha kyasthas. They were settled down in Magadh by Emperor Chadragupta Mauriya. Ambastha Kyasthas have origin in that part of Punjab that is now part of Pakistan. After tge war between Porus and Alexander, they were settled down in Magadh. Ambasthas are also divided into 'Khas Ghars' depicting the villages they resided during the Maurya period.

I really felt very disappointed when I didn't find mention of my grand father Lala Hanumant sahai a freedom fighter honoured by Jawahar lal nehru (Tamra Patra etc.).He was one of the four who was involved in Lord Harding Bomb Case.He spent a long period of14 years in Jail(some years in Cellular jail in Andaman).the bomb was made in our Chahal Puri house tahghana. He was in close contact with lala Hardayal, who was also a Mathur who started Gather Party (you didn'nt mention his name and contribution also). They both deserve respect from Mathurs .Our history avoided their mention but how come our own community don't know about them. there was no mention of Mr R D Mathur who was an IAS and was Chief Secretary of Rajasthan .There are so many inspiring and great personalities and mst of us don't even know.

Your video is nice but much research needed in your video. I am a researcher, during my studies I found about this great community of Bharat.
    1. As per Puranas like Matsya Puran, Garud Puran, Skand Puran, Ramayan, Mahabharat etc. Since Bhagwan Chitragupta originated from inside of the Body of Bhagwan Brahma through his Attention after 11000 years of Penance. Bhagwan Brahma told Chitragupt that he was residing in his attention called as "Chitt" in Sanskrit. Whole Attention and Whole Body of Bhagwan Brahma is of Greater Importance. Bhagwan Chitragupt is the only deity son (Devputra) of Bhagwan Brahma. Many Hymns of Vedas and Puranas are dedicated to Bhagwan Chitragupta.
Thats why this Kayastha Community either above from Varna System or separate from it or you can put them in Varna System like other Hindu Communities of Bharat. They are reffered as Bhramhkshatriya in scriptures. So they can be kept in Gaudiya Dev Brahmin or Kshatriya Categories in varna system.
Because they are the direct descendants of Human form of Bhagwan Chitragupt originated from "Kayatha" village Ujjain Madhya Pradesh. From there the 12 sons of Chitragupt migrated in all possible directions.
According to Geographical Reasons they divided into three categories
    1. Chitraguptvanshi Kayastha
    2. Chandraseniya Kayastha Prabhu
    3. Chandraseniya Kayastha
Reference : Sanatan Dharm Trust, Gorakhpur(UP) , Ujjain (MP)
    2. Kayastha Rulers are Protector and Preserver of The Sanatan Culture of Bharat.
Because for a period of around 600 years Islam didn't penetrated into Bharat from Sindh when the rulers of this community and Rajputs ruled in various part of Bharat.
    Ancient Empire of Kayasthas:
Karkota-Srivast- Empire in Kashmir famous ruler LalitadityaMuktapida -North
    Shak Empire - Kabul Area
    CholaEmpire - South India
Pandya Epire - Middle and South West
    Pala Empire -East
    Satvahan Empire -Middle
Vallabh Empire -West Gujarat and MH
    Vijaynagar Empire - Entire South
    Sen Empire -East
    Chandela Empire -Middle to East
Rashtrakuta Empire Etc. Middle to West
Role of Chandraseniya Kayastha in Maratha Empire to Establish HindupadpaadShahi in Bharat.
Invasion of Turkic Rulers, Mughal Rulers and Britishers was darkest Period of Bharat History. Every Community got Effected and influenced. Every section of Society of Bharat was involved in Intra-Community Fights or Inter-Community Fights just for posts in rule of foreign rulers like Kayastha to Kayastha, Rajput to Rajput, Brahmin to Brahmin. Brahmin to Rajputs, Kayastha-Brahmin, Brahmin to Other Varna.
Though they have worked with Mughal Empire and British Empire as Other Communities like Rajputs and Brahmins worked with them. But overall Kayasthas, Rajputs and Brahmins were successfully preserved the Sanatan Culture during the atrocities of Turkic, Mughals and Britishers.
Why are they so educated and good administrators or entrepreneurs answers lies in their roots. For instance look at their Culture In every Chitragupta Temple of Bharat you will find following idols of Smarat Tradition of Sanatan
    a. Chitragupteshwar Mahadev Shiv- for Spirituality
    b. Maa Durga -For Strength
    c. Bhagwan Surya -For Knowledge
    d. Bhagwan Vishnu - For Inspiration to work for society
    e. Bhagwan Ganesha - For Auspiciousness
They are the one of the most Influential Forces of Indian National Movement for Independence and After Independence whose Impressions will remain relevant for all periods. Names like Swami Vivekanada Lala Hardayal Mathur, Rabindranath Tagore, Arbindo Ghosh, Lala Lajpat Rai, Bipin Chandra Pal, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Ras Bihari Bose, Khudi Ram Bose, Kali Prasad Bhaskar,Rajendra Prasad, Jai Prakash Narayan, Lal Bahadur Shahstri and many etc. Now this community is already doing great for progress of Bharat.
Interestingly, If you find any Sun Temple in Bharat like Sun Temple (Gujarat), Sun Konark Temple (Odisha), Sun Martand Temple (Kashmir) or Big Giant Temples like Vrihedhswar or any Ancient University like Vallabhi University of Gujarat it will definitely have the Kayastha Roots.

I belong to Kshatriya Community but I am very fascinated by Kayastha Community and have great Respect this community of Bharat after studying about them. They are spreaded in all parts of Bharat but not in Very Big Numbers. They are the most qualitative community of India. I think it's become a great responsibility if you born into Kayastha Family. Really Please God Save and Protect this Community for Development of Bharat.
