I’m not questioning your reasoning for leaving out the ladder for first step reasons, but was curious if you ever use them for any other purpose. I was the quickest person in high school (I’m 43 now and a strength coach myself) and at football camps many years ago and there were no ladders back then. All we used were the “ropes” which I liked because you had to get your knees up higher. It worked the hip flexor and extender.
Lara Peterson great question 👍, thanks for sharing. I do use them for warm up purposes to prep and strengthen the ankle joint, and muscles of the ankle / calf etc. I’ll do them before upper body sessions for good week up and easy explosive work . I’m ALWAYS open to talk about stuff like this 👍 questioning is good, never just take things for face value
