Consumers need to try whatever Cell Company they want to. I have tried many, and Consumer Cellular works for me. I like the service, the cost, and I never have problems with my data speed at all. Consumers out there, be sure to check out companies you want to try first and see how you like them. Consumer Cellular is my company of choice, and I have never had trouble with it.
We have been on CC since 1989 and have never had the problems you speak of. Love being able to talk to someone who speaks English and is in this country. For the amount we use the phone, it is much cheaper than others. Never been throttled, always loads fast.
Consumer cellular wore us out with the loud commercials several times an hour on tv so we decided NOT to use their services. Stupid repetitive commercials. We MUTE them so we can't hear them. 😊
I can see where you're coming from on data but around my house we use Wi-Fi and when out and about unless I am stuck somewhere for awhile I'll watch some streaming but mostly limit my usage. You're going to find pretty much all providers who offer free data do cap or throttle your service throughout the day depending on traffic. I don't spend 24 hours on RUclips or other media sites.
I only use a flip phone and would not have a phone at all if not for emergencies. I have used C/C several years now with no problems and I really like customer service that can speak fluent English and seem to be in the United States. BTW I'm 76 years old.
My husband and I decided to switch mainly because of the great deal offered to us. I think you and your sister should get your own plans because you need to use more data. Thanks for the video. 😊
I have had consumer cellular for 10 years, happy with it. Lately, I have become very angry with the ad with the guy in orange on every channel. This is like being brainwashed. Turn the channel? there it is again... they are doing the same thing that Progressive and (Flo) did, all stupid. I will throw my TV away eventually.
It says no where it is unlimited data and does clearly say on the website *If data usage exceeds 50GB, you will experience slower data speeds for the remainder of the billing cycle. It also says the plan includes unlimited talk and text. we also only use ATT towers now.
JMTS, Nowhere do you mention "what area you live in" it would give some clarity as to what "I" (your audience) might expect.... depending on your area, CC might use anyone of the "Big 3's" infrastructure. The real issue is that CC is an MVNO, that said you pay for what you get!
That's a Great Point on the Slow Data. I am currently on T-Moblie and I am on the Magenta MAX Plan and get Unlimited Priority Data. No Slowdowns. Also got $800 over 24 Months on my IPhone 14 Pro. I upgraded from a IPhone 12.
I have a Trac Phone and have no interest in this company other than to say I have over the air TV and every time I change the channel their ads are on. It is so FUCKING ANNOYING!!! They must not be a good company in my opinion as the ridiculous amount over advertising on all the shit sub channels that seem to be owned by the same parent company has made me despise them and seem incredibly desperate for customers. They are as bad as the sleazeball Colonial Penn Life ads.👎📱📺
@@stevengraham9819you can pay monthly for the phone or upfront. If you do the easypay plan, the cost is broken down into 24 months, with a small deposit and tax on the phone. If you like, you can pay down your phone monthly in the app under the easypay tab.
I have consumer cellular just because of the price but I am so seriously thinking of getting off of it. I just have a flip phone and it drops calls and I’m gonna 5G zone call almost every week to consumer cellular with issues with the phone I have so I’m looking for something inexpensive. I just talk and text.
Then don't buy anything from consumer cellular, their now going strictly with ATT and ATT doesn't have a true 5G it's just a higher powered 4G LTE! I can't believe they have done this!
Why isn’t unlimited unlimited? We went on vacation for 12 days and this is where we had lots of problems.. Thanks. So who did you go to. I switched from Verizon. I think consumer cellular is fine if you have Wi-Fi at home or a hotel. Not sure if it’s good when on vacation.
Recently, I learned that phone companies that aren't the main three (Verizon, AT&T, and T Mobile) offer plans that have a certain amount of prioritized unlimited data. The data is capped and is throttled once you have reached that limit. So its unlimited to a certain point. I switched to Verizon because of their plans with perks. CC is fine overall. I just needed faster speeds and true unlimited data. Also, other companies are giving out perks to their customers; it's not really a lot of perks with CC.
