I can see where you're coming from on data but around my house we use Wi-Fi and when out and about unless I am stuck somewhere for awhile I'll watch some streaming but mostly limit my usage. You're going to find pretty much all providers who offer free data do cap or throttle your service throughout the day depending on traffic. I don't spend 24 hours on RUclips or other media sites.

Consumer cellular wore us out with the loud commercials several times an hour on tv so we decided NOT to use their services. Stupid repetitive commercials. We MUTE them so we can't hear them. 😊

I have a Trac Phone and have no interest in this company other than to say I have over the air TV and every time I change the channel their ads are on. It is so FUCKING ANNOYING!!! They must not be a good company in my opinion as the ridiculous amount over advertising on all the shit sub channels that seem to be owned by the same parent company has made me despise them and seem incredibly desperate for customers. They are as bad as the sleazeball Colonial Penn Life ads.👎📱📺

I have had consumer cellular for 10 years, happy with it. Lately, I have become very angry with the ad with the guy in orange on every channel. This is like being brainwashed. Turn the channel? there it is again... they are doing the same thing that Progressive and (Flo) did, all stupid. I will throw my TV away eventually.

I just came back from London, Paris and Amsterdam and had no service even though i called about International service. CC does not have towers that will connect to your phone. I had to use a phone from my group and called CC but the were no help what so ever. I have since found out that you can purchase an ESIM so that your phone works.

I am so sick to death of their commercials. They run them constantly and you can't get away from it unless you turn off your TV! I've had enough of the annoying guy in the orange sweater who thinks he's so funny. He makes CC look so STUPID!! Now they have a new commercial running with that same annoying idiot. ENOUGH ALREADY!!! AND enough of the stupid people sitting there on the couch telling us all how great the service is! If CC has to keep running their ads every 5 minutes then that means they don't have enough money or members to simply shut up and go away!! I also think THEY think that people will get brainwashed and cave in and switch to their service if they ANNOY THE CRAP OUT OF EVERYONE!! Not a good business strategy. They need to stop and are annoying as HELL!!! There are alot of annoying commercials out there and none of these companies care about you, they are just out for your money and don't you forget it!!!

I am leaving Consumer Cellular after more than 15 years because their service and customer satisfaction has gone from the best in the industry to unrated. A few years ago, they were the company that spoke English and went out of their way to insure that I had the best plan possible. Amazing service ! Over the last 12 weeks, my service has quit multiple times. I thought it was me, maybe my phone. I replaced my phone and thought all was well so got one for someone else on my plan just to find out that these phones had to have factory resets on a regular basis - My contacts disappeared, everything needed reset - alarms, bluetooth connection to my vehicle.... Last time I called them they told me my phone was 1 week out of the return window (I had it for 3 weeks). Since there was nothing wrong with my phone, they would not warranty it and that I should just do another factory reset. They said that it was a common problem with these phones - the ones designed for seniors! 3 years ago, they would have credited me with the time lost, now they tell me that I did not lose service so no refund. I ended up with T-Mobile. The store that I happened to stop at has an outstanding sales person working there (she has been there since T-Mobile first entered our market area.). My monthly bill did not increase and so far, I am happy with the service. I have only been their customer for 1 week. I did not have time to do much research before switching. Oh, all 5 people on my plan are getting new phones for the cost of tax and $5 set up fee. Normally I would have researched the companies before switching but I was in a bind and the company I thought was the best was a bomb.

Thank you for the great information on Consumer... we're long term customers and I've noticed a price creep over the past couple of years with the recognized extra cost when traveling abroad but over all just more expensive for the same previous service! Being a senior, they do give a discount through AAARP but just for the exercise I will check with other carriers that have a seniors plan. That would be a good subject to cover!😊

With how rough her life has been, it’s no shock or surprise, to me, if she has some behavioral issues. I heard she has cognitive deficits, too, though I’m not sure what the basis is for these claims. If it’s true, that doesn’t make it any easier for her to sort out everything that has happened to her and understand the effects of all that abuse and neglect. Orphanages often neglect very basic needs of developing infants and toddlers. My sympathy is with Natalia and other children of the system, entirely. You really have to take that into account, when you’re thinking about adopting children and whether you are prepared to work with serious emotional and behavioral disorders, or not.

I was really shocked when I saw that nobody was really questioning her even though she's had a lot more red flags than anybody else in this case. Thanks for this review. People have discussed the same issues you mentioned but kind of get blasted for insinuating that she has any fault in this. I agree that she is a victim of at least the Barnetts, and perhaps even the agency that handled the adoption. But two things can be true: she is a victim, but that isn’t to say that she might not have issues that either have been or can be concerning.

They were great before they changed ownership, especially customer service. I had them for 10 years and switched to Tello.

JMTS, Nowhere do you mention "what area you live in" it would give some clarity as to what "I" (your audience) might expect.... depending on your area, CC might use anyone of the "Big 3's" infrastructure. The real issue is that CC is an MVNO, that said you pay for what you get!

Consumers need to try whatever Cell Company they want to. I have tried many, and Consumer Cellular works for me. I like the service, the cost, and I never have problems with my data speed at all. Consumers out there, be sure to check out companies you want to try first and see how you like them. Consumer Cellular is my company of choice, and I have never had trouble with it.

I purchased a new iPhone and T mobile gave me their internet for 90 days free and if I like their service my internet will be 30 dollars a month, Well it took me two days to find out that T-Mobile internet is lousy. I don't have cable , I stream my shows thru Roku and I have a computer, when I watch movies the picture is very pixelated and the movie stops and then it starts to buffering. If I use my computer while streaming movies the results are a nightmare, so I gave up my T-Mobile internet

It says no where it is unlimited data and does clearly say on the website *If data usage exceeds 50GB, you will experience slower data speeds for the remainder of the billing cycle. It also says the plan includes unlimited talk and text. we also only use ATT towers now.

We have been on CC since 1989 and have never had the problems you speak of. Love being able to talk to someone who speaks English and is in this country. For the amount we use the phone, it is much cheaper than others. Never been throttled, always loads fast.

I called Consumer Cellular in July about my international trip in September and was assured via phone, email and text message that international calling would be activated was my September trip. However, the service was never operational for the duration of my trip. When I returned, I called Consumer Cellular to complain. I was told by a supervisor that international calling was a premium service and could not be guaranteed because Consumer Cellular just does not have the towers overseas to accommodate the calls. She advised me to get an international SIM card for my overseas travel.

That's too much money for 35 gb of, other services give you more data for that price, they're ripping seniors off!!!
