Fell for the looks and repenting badly😢. I understood in a very hard way that practicality is to be given importance than gizmos and features, especially while choosing a car.
Verna is the reason that Virtus & Slavia are getting these many features. In absence of competition, VW / Skoda will strip many features to promote their Audi cars at exorbitant prices.
Having features is overrated. More than half the time you would not use them, German rivals know how to make cars whether it's safety, build ,paint quality, design, driving dynamics, engine, comfort etc. I just feel hyundai cars are a gimmick , they only give features and gimmicky looks coz they just need attention and can't come close to Germans in terms of making cars.

Verna globally have very strong cars, India has price sensitivity so they were giving cheaper alternative. Else Hyundai in Europe has nice cars..same in Malaysia they have amazing cars there.

@@himanshurao4445 first things first let me make this clear. 5 stars does not matter if you are going at a speed of more than 100km/h and you crash into a wall. It does not matter if the car is 5 stars or 3 neither would survive the crash. The only practical reason to own a 5 star safety rated car is at lower speed accidents where the people sitting inside the car won't get hurt but the car would, and because it is 5 stars it would take less damage hence it will cost less to get repaired compared to 3 star rated car thats it. Practically you'll be as safe inside the cabin of a 3 star as much as a 5 star if you're doing more the 100km/h
One thing about Skoda's driver seat: driver has to pull their seat to the front because the clutch travel is very long compared to other cars. Hence it leaves more space for the rear passenger.

Verna's active safety features are far more useful than the passive safety features offered by Virtus and Slavia. Only good part is build quality (which we dont know of the new Verna as of now) and driving dynamics (which Verna turbo petrol matches with that of VAG twins). Aur agar inn sabme costs aur features bhi add kardu toh Verna is a far better product.
Verna for sure is the winner here . All that remains to be seen is the crash test ratings. But one thing commendable is the way the slavia owner has redone his car. It looks amazing and hats off to him for this mod.
German cars are for elderly and old fashioned people. With one new launch these people are feeling the pinch, imagine if Hyundai brings their other international line up. Forget about Genesis....
Honda should learn from Hyundai and offer Turbo version of New Honda City . As a Slavia owner I opted for slavia solely for back seat comfort and riding dynamics which at that time was less in verna but now new verna has a good backseat space. Sedan segment is improving in india.

In 5 years time, the Verna is going to look dated while the Slavia will be timeless even 10 years from now. That’s the beauty of classical design. It never grows old and always looks good.

Out of so many cars being produced in India, VW/Skoda occupying the Top 4 positions ! Incredible Safety and Built Performance ! Tata & Mahindra also doing good ! the only way Verna can take advantage is during first 2 to 3 secs of starting due to initial dsg lag .. slavia 0-100 in 8.7 secs is due to 1 sec initial dsg lag .. otherwise it would be less than 8 secs ..

I had an impression that you, specially Gagan was a top notch auto journalist in India. But watching this video I guess I was wrong. You guys are giving a verdict against Salvia’s interior build quality before even talking about the car’s overall aspects. This is completely unfair to say Skoda/VW quality have gone down just by showing some bits of plastic which are poor in quality and ignoring the rest. To be honest no Koreans are making a car which has great features, looks, imported award winning drivetrain, superb feel of the sheet metal and paint quality which lasts for decades. And above all these a very safe 5⭐️ rated cars. The Koreans should actually learn from the VAG to make cars for the Indian market without compromising on people’s safety. Is it because of people like you, great car companies who built really great card for the Indian market shut down and had to leave the country. It is because of people like you who provide biased opinions according to Your own agenda. Which makes people consider cars of sub standard.
We have a slavia ambition and it has that plastic noise and noise in door panel. We always get it serviced and it works for like 4 days and same noises start coming out. I had the worst experience owning a skoda because i went with this bs mindset of people that it is a 5 star and german....i forgot that those people dont own it themselves and are barking nonsense without owning a thing. And now i even asked my father to sell off the car and you what people are asking is for....is just 8 lakhs. They are saying -- hongi german cars sir ji par inke kharche bhi boht hain...suzuki,hyundai ki muh bole daam milte hain aur parts poori india mein available. Aapko deni hai toh do warna kahi aur try karlo.

Spending huge money and compromising on quality its sheer stupidity. Hyundai also know that their cars are not safe thats why they never send their cars to GNCAP, etc. If their cars are safe then why manufacture wont send it for test rating which can actually help them to increase the sales. Other Hyundai cars which were tested as ordered by GNCAP.. If Verna is safe then why Hyundai never sent it for test rating?

I think it's the other way around. Skoda had to launch 1.5 in ambition trim due to Verna's value pricing, which they should have done from the start.

Verna's active safety features are far more useful than the passive safety features offered by Virtus and Slavia. Only good part is build quality (which we dont know of the new Verna as of now) and driving dynamics (which Verna turbo petrol matches with that of VAG twins). Aur agar inn sabme costs aur features bhi add kardu toh Verna is a far better product.

Honda should learn from Hyundai and offer Turbo version of New Honda City . As a Slavia owner I opted for slavia solely for back seat comfort and riding dynamics which at that time was less in verna but now new verna has a good backseat space. Sedan segment is improving in india.

the only way Verna can take advantage is during first 2 to 3 secs of starting due to initial dsg lag .. slavia 0-100 in 8.7 secs is due to 1 sec initial dsg lag .. otherwise it would be less than 8 secs ..

I had an impression that you, specially Gagan was a top notch auto journalist in India. But watching this video I guess I was wrong.
You guys are giving a verdict against Salvia’s interior build quality before even talking about the car’s overall aspects.
This is completely unfair to say Skoda/VW quality have gone down just by showing some bits of plastic which are poor in quality and ignoring the rest.
To be honest no Koreans are making a car which has great features, looks, imported award winning drivetrain, superb feel of the sheet metal and paint quality which lasts for decades. And above all these a very safe 5⭐️ rated cars.
The Koreans should actually learn from the VAG to make cars for the Indian market without compromising on people’s safety.
Is it because of people like you, great car companies who built really great card for the Indian market shut down and had to leave the country.
It is because of people like you who provide biased opinions according to Your own agenda. Which makes people consider cars of sub standard.
We have a slavia ambition and it has that plastic noise and noise in door panel. We always get it serviced and it works for like 4 days and same noises start coming out. I had the worst experience owning a skoda because i went with this bs mindset of people that it is a 5 star and german....i forgot that those people dont own it themselves and are barking nonsense without owning a thing. And now i even asked my father to sell off the car and you what people are asking is for....is just 8 lakhs. They are saying -- hongi german cars sir ji par inke kharche bhi boht hain...suzuki,hyundai ki muh bole daam milte hain aur parts poori india mein available. Aapko deni hai toh do warna kahi aur try karlo.
VW and Skoda are just making fool to Indians so just shut the crap and get out of here.

@@jimonmlbb and how did you come to that conclusion? People used to call Creta and Seltos are solid and feel safe but crash test rating proved that they are not safe cars. Spending huge money and compromising on quality its sheer stupidity. Hyundai also know that their cars are not safe thats why they never send their cars to GNCAP, etc. If their cars are safe then why manufacture wont send it for test rating which can actually help them to increase the sales. Other Hyundai cars which were tested as ordered by GNCAP.. If Verna is safe then why Hyundai never sent it for test rating?
If u prefer slavia than buy it who is stopping u?😂 verna fans doesnt bother about slavia or virtus but german fans bother about verna dats the jalwa of verna.
