Thank You Nuno, Gary, Pat, and Kevin. I lost my Dad in mid-May 2016, then we lost over half of Dad’s Brothers and Sisters of 10 in my Dad’s family, along with my Mom’s oldest brother, and my Wife’s uncle through 2017. To say that my grief was and still is a big part of my life is an understatement. I also am a musician and songs like this help me to release the pain. It will never truly go away, but Hurricane has helped to ease the massive emptiness I felt for 3 1/2 years after his and my Aunts and Uncles passing away after Dad. Beautiful tune. Thank You from the bottom of my heart!
Hurricane makes me think of loved ones who are gone and makes me measure detachment. We're still pretty small when practicing this. We didn't lose anyone... because nothing is ours. We are all conscience and it never perishes. It only changes dimension, but this remoteness that our eyes can't see, hurts us too much. This song has an exceptional beauty. It is said that in other, more evolved dimensions there is a much more beautiful sound than on earth. Hurricane should come from there.
OMG, reading the comments while listening the song, I was moved and touched by every story. I feel like we all are a big family around rock and roll. God bless you all, be strong in difficult times
I lost my mom in 2011 and my dad just a year later. My parents had been together almost 50 years and the loss of my mom literally broke his heart. That final year, he was just waiting to die so he could be close to my mom again. This song perfectly illustrates the feelings he went through. My parents were my best friends and even after I moved out of CA, not a day went by without talking with them. I know they both are with God and that eases the hurt from losing them. Beautiful song!
Y'all have written and performed some great songs for almost 40 years now, and this one is one of your best yet. Heartfelt. Beautiful. Captures grief and loss in such a moving way. And, yet, helps heal those painful emotions, too. Thank you.

I lost my Avó (grandma in Portuguese) last year and I have her holy rosary. Gary and his rosary really got me. Love that it was included in the video for this amazing song 🙏
This song put me to tears the first time I heard it, walking through the neighbourhood the morning of the release of "Six." I put my earbuds in and just went walking. I remember exactly where I was when I first heard the line, "Is this the storm before the calm?" And the tears came. It just hit me with where I was at that moment (and, to some extent, still am). I wondered what people might think if they had been looking out their front windows to see some 49-year-old guy walking along and crying. No other band has ever comes close to doing that to me the way Extreme has over the years (I doubt I'll ever get through "Everything Under the Sun" without getting emotional). After all these decades, the band is simply part of my DNA anymore. I feel so incredibly grateful that they're still active and creating masterpieces like this ... and to see the appreciation and connection from so many other wonderful people like you. . Sending my heartfelt best wishes to anyone who see this. Much love. And long live Extreme.
Allow yourself to cry, mi man. We men have always had to carry the societal burden of excess stoicism, and keeping our emotions bottled up inside. Let it all go :) At most, you'll get a hug by some big-hearted stranger!
Lost my beautiful 28 year old daughter Michelle to a car accident. It will be three years this October 29th! I thought I was doing better. People keep going on and I feel stuck in time. I keep going too but it’s hard especially this time of year! Raising her daughter since she was one month old so God gave me another daughter but it doesn’t help the one I’m missing. I know we all will experience grief and loss but it’s the hardest thing for the living💞love your music!

It was like Nuno and Gary read my mind on this song, especially the title, because I lost my dad less than a month after Hurricane Harvey devastated his townhome in Ingleside, Texas on August 25, 2017, just 15 minutes south where they eye of the Hurricane made Landfall in Rockport, TX . My dad passed away on September 22nd from post-traumatic stress from the turtles pace that FEMA and his other insurance companies taking their time to give him the immediate help he needed. Just 5 days before he passed away when I last saw him he complained about the stresses that FEMA and State Farm was putting him through just to get the help that he needed. I told him not to stress because of his previous heart condition, he died at the age of 74 from a broken heart and a broken spirit. I honestly feel he would be here today if he didn't experience the after affects of a catastrophic event. To make matters worst, I lost my only brother to COVID 3 years later! Some friends have told me-- "We never get over losing a loved one, we just learn how to deal with it." GOD bless all of mankind and GOD bless EXTREME!!
I did absolutely cry when I first heard this song. Another classic from Nuno. One of the best acoustic ballads in the last thirty years. They are so good in concert! Rock aint dead!

Not ashamed to say that I cried over this video and again it’s not just because @OfficiallyExtreme is my favorite band…while they’re good at writing songs that we all connect with somehow…Nuno, Gary, Pat and Kevin opened up their own personal lives with this. If you know a fraction of what I do as a fan, you know what I mean. Thank you for making it so we don’t feel alone in our loss, boys 🥺🥰🫶🏻🙏
I’m curious; is this about Gary missing his mother? Not sure.
@@bighairprayer92 they’ve each lost at least one parent. Gary and Nuno have lost both and they were very close to their moms. Nuno said he likes to envision his mom as a little girl. Pat wants to see his mom as young and healthy instead of being ravaged by cancer. I think even Kevin’s dad (who he was close to) passed before Josephine Cherone did. It’s just what I think, but because Gary was close to his mom, and she was very supportive of him, letting her go is still very painful for him.
Whoever has done the video work on this album has hit it out of the park visually. Every video from especially Rainbow and Hurricane wow!
@@jaysonlaplante5527 that’s Nuno’s vision. Notice that he’s the co-director of the videos for all the singles on ‘SIX’?
Beautiful 🪽👊🎤🎸🎼❤️
I lost my son when he was four years old to auto accident in 1980.
I lost my sister 2021 after I was released from the hospital from being in a coma on life-support
October 1st my only sister, my baby sister, passed away from COVID-19 pneumonia …
Your right, about the waves they never stop coming, but we learn from our loss to live each day to the fullest, no matter how many bumps in the road are ahead of us in life …
We’re still here our loved ones not so much but we’re still here, and I truly feel blessed, that I breathe another day of life …
Ty again sweetie 🤘❤️
The more I listen to this song the more I love it. It has a deep meaning and it shows through the singers. It is a fabulous performance!
Beautiful. Thank you, guys.
I lost my Avó (grandma in Portuguese) last year and I have her holy rosary. Gary and his rosary really got me. Love that it was included in the video for this amazing song 🙏
Yes, that was a beautiful touch. Love it when he finds subtle ways to show his faith. ❤✝️
Absolutely Beautiful!
We’ll said. Am I Ever Gonna Change is a hymn to me
@@andynowicki8860 Same here, my friend!
Gentlemen - as gentle as a soft summer breeze and powerful as any force of nature. I still have tears rolling down my face. The written intro to the video helped set the stage. Thank you for something so beautiful that helped me remember...
Beautiful deep song✨️ love the melody 🎼🎶 great vocal work❤
OMG! I can NOT stop crying. Absolutely beautiful
33 years after More Than Words, if this isn't something you like, you seriously dead inside.
Vedere il Rosario tra le mani di una delle più influenti band rock del mondo, mi fa sperare in qualcosa di più profondo, di umano, di divino.
Execelente canción de Gary , nuno y compañía
Such a beautiful song...
I was listening to this for the first time this morning before i practiced my violin and i did not think that i would cry but no. Even now, i am still crying! ❤ i love you Extreme. Gary, Nuno you will always be my №1 ❤
I dare you to get to the end of this video and not hear X Out start playing in your head!
Beautiful stuff, your two voices trade off so well together!
exactly my thoughts.. was totally waiting on that opening riff from X OUT (yet another amazing song)
Beautiful song that speaks to the soul. I know loss all too well, losing my husband, mom & dad all within 2 years.

My fave song on this excellent album ❤
Followed extreme since I was 14, now 45, still love and as a drummer great to drum to, 😊
It was like Nuno and Gary read my mind on this song, especially the title, because I lost my dad less than a month after Hurricane Harvey devastated his townhome in Ingleside, Texas on August 25, 2017, just 15 minutes south where they eye of the Hurricane made Landfall in Rockport, TX .
Extreme is putting out some of their best music ever in 2023. Sounds great!
Very nice...I lost my daughter 2 years ago and life will never be the same...this song really touched my heart....bravo guys, once again!!!
