    Passed it many times on 395 up to Mammoth, for skiing and mtb, would always see that lonely Joshua tree sign, but was never interested to check it out, were talking back in the early 80s when only hippies really went there. Now my brother and his son go there to hike and the son also rock climbs. Now I can see why it would b a cool place, reminds me of Sodona Arizona.

    Very nice video! It's a good idea to cross the park driving a mustang conversible?

      Juliano Guerra Thank you for watching. Yeah, sure! I don't see why that would be a problem.

      Nice! I'm planing to travel by car, from Palm Springs to Las Vegas in one day, crossing the Joshua Three Park and Mojave national preserve in a mustang Conversivel. Is possible do it in a day? Thank you!

    • @Quiturrio
      @Quiturrio  7 лет назад

      Juliano Guerra You are looking at an awesome and long drive. Our calculations say a 7 to 8 hours drive, that is if you only reach jumbo rock in Joshua Tree park and then continue nirth to Mojave and then to Vegas.
      Also, that that would be without stopping, and when you are inside a National Park is very tempting to stop to take a picture 😊 and admire the landscapes.
      If we were doing the drive we would divide it into 2 days and if we were driving a convertible we would be carrying a good sunblock and a nice hat 😊.

      oblivion zephyr well, the kangaroo rat that we saw was at night time around the fire grill, perhaps he/she was looking for crumbs? I will definitely say pay more attention during these times?

      Luis Najera No it doesn't ! my map of Joshua tree shows only the Mojave and Colorado deserts and their transitional Zone! Sonoran Desert is in Arizona!

      Jon, you need a new map. :) The Sonoran Desert covers much of Southern California, including the Salton Sea, Palm Springs, the Coachella Valley, and Joshua Tree.
      "The Sonoran Desert is an arid region covering approximately 100,000 square miles in southwestern Arizona and southeastern California, as well as most of Baja California and the western half of the state of Sonora, Mexico. Subdivisions of this hot, dry region include the Colorado and Yuma deserts. Irrigation has produced many fertile agricultural areas, including the Coachella and Imperial valleys of California. Warm winters attract tourists to Sonora Desert resorts in Palm Springs, California, and Tucson and Phoenix, Arizona.

    HOW COULD YOU GUYS GO THROUGH THE WHOLE DAMN PARK AND NOT FILM HIDDEN VALLEY CAMP GROUND. ITS THE BEST CAMPSITE IN THE WHOLE MONUMENT WITH LIT OF INDIAN SPOTS AND OLD MINES TO EXPLORE. GAD I GOT ALL JACKED UP AT THIS VIDEO AND YOUR OTHER JTNM VIDEO AND THEY WERE A BUST. NEXT TIME SPEND SOME TIME AND CAMP IN HIDDEN VALLEY CAMP SITE ITS THE BEST. I WAS CAMPING OUT THERE 60 YEARS AGO WHEN COYOTES WERE RUNNING AROUND ALL OVER THE PLACE AND INDIAN POTTERS WAS LYING AROUND EVERYWHERE THE BIG MONEY IS BET ON HIDDEN VALLEY CAMP SITE.
