Guys. You need to realize my guy is not only the Ball Glove King, but be’s also a Dad and has a family, has a life and a job… but he still ups the quality with each video. Please, give him more credit!
Yess I really appreciate you Chris with each upload and all the effort you put into these video’s and you can’t get back time but you don’t care you just want to make me and everyone else happy!
There's nothing like Japanese kip leather. If you're trying to decide if it's worth it or not, it is. As he says in the video though, it takes a while to break in. Just expect it to take twice as long as break in as any other glove you've ever had. It's also surprising to me how many people don't like the classic tan look. I've had some different styles and colors, but I always come back to tan.
A premium glove should at a minimum come with something durable. The good thing about laces is they can be replaced. If you've bought a nice glove however, you shouldn't have to do that from the off. I'd always factor it in, but bad laces are not the end of the world.
@@DerInselaffe yes bad laces are not the end of the world but it’s a pain in the ass to have to relace ur glove a short time after purchase. I was looking at the Easton professional series but saw a bunch of busted lace reviews which kind of turned me off from their line. Busted laces is also the most common thing that can cost you on the field.
@@my2l True. It's all about weighing everything in. On a really nice glove with bad laces, I'm less likely to be turned off because a relace to me is quick and easy when I'll have the perfect glove in the end. For a worse glove it's a definite turn off. I won't want to put the time and effort into a relace if the end result is still not great.
I would take the Toro. 👍 53 and I still play baseball This past February bought a Rawlings PROR204W2NC 11.5 and love it. First time watching your channel and I really like it. We both share the best name. 😃
Love the content, but when are us catchers gonna get some love? I’d say people trust your insights and I’m sure you could help out a young catcher trying to find a quality glove. Love what your doing for the glove community!
My 2 favorite things leather and glass and both have top their brands called Toro, I’ve wanted a Toro tube for years ! Now I’m jackin that Toro glove I prefer single post but that spiral 🌀 looks hard as nails , I been wanting to do that to my Rawlings! I do not like the Rev1X at all looks like a T ball glove
I think with the 44 discounts and the customization that regardless of the step up in quality there'd really no reason to get anything else. They have 20% off right now and every holiday there's a discount. For the price and quality 44.
I get that, i think that if you can spend more money it can be worth it but in the end it doesn’t matter how much you spend all that matter is that you don’t make errors lol
@@ballgloveking true that.. I mean I have a house, 2 kids, dogs and 2 vehicles and I'm only playing men's Sunday league baseball. I want a good glove that will last and I can depend on but I can't afford to spend huge money on gloves. Right now a signature series 44 is $148ish dollars that's a great deal. As long as you like what you use and like you said you can actually use the glove then to each their own.
I have gotten a lot of gloves and when I have my own place and a nice cam I want to start my own channel because if you… 100% gonna shout you out all t r time
hey chris, u got me rly into the toro gloves and i saw their catchers mitt on ig. are u planning on checking out any catchers mitts in the near future? love ur channel and your love for God... cheers bro
Thanks for the kind words bro!! I am gonna be putting more effort into catchers mitts in general soon but it’s gonna be a while till the channel gets a video on it, I don’t wanna speak on it till I feel I’m actually knowledgeable
I’d say it’s good for youth but if you take baseball seriously and you need a position glove like infield or outfield. Then I’d go with the signature series because it’s going to last you many more years
I would say that I prefer it over a2000’s but they are different leather types so in the end you might like it less or way more. Don’t know until you try it
Hot watering isn’t technically good for any of the leather because water isn’t good for leather But it has very minor impact in the end. The biggest concern is making sure not to let clots bleed off
Honestly I don’t really have an answer, if you sweat a ton it’s just gonna get dirty. It’s kinda hard to prevent. Generally just do your best to keep your glove clean and out of your baseball bag
The reason that’s hard to answer is because they are so different. Toro is Japanese Kip so it’s a very very stiff glove Phalanx is steerhide so it’s softer and just barely thicker. So you gotta decide if you want something more like a HOH (phalanx) or a Pro Preferred (toro)
@@ballgloveking thanks so much for the help I love the pro preferred so much so definetly the toro from what your videos have been saying it seems way better then 44 can’t wait to see future videos and hopefully you get a aria glove soon 👍👍

It’s a good one!
Loving the videos lately, you’re really upping your quality with each video! Keep up the great work, proud of you.
Thank you Jeremy!
I played park district baseball with the first guy you interviewed, Nate! So crazy to see him!
I way that’s awesome!!!
That thing looks sweet!!!!
Agreed!
That Toro looks sooo good.
Yessir it does
Thank you for the inspiration brother. I’m on the grind on my baseball channel now too. Keep it up
Thanks bro and good luck to you!
I always liked a stiff glove to break in because it conforms more to your hand. While factory break in gloves always close the same.
I think lacing is the most important and underrated part of a glove. Rawlings lace is my favourite.
A premium glove should at a minimum come with something durable. The good thing about laces is they can be replaced. If you've bought a nice glove however, you shouldn't have to do that from the off. I'd always factor it in, but bad laces are not the end of the world.

50 bucks for rev1x and 240 for toro
Thanks man, I just pick one of these up they had a Memorial Day sale picked it up for $200 really excited to get it 😀
Baseball gloves and Jesus? Glad I’ve been subbed
I want glove torture part 2

How to break in a glove updated video?
Soon!
I would may like $65 for the rev1x and like $250 for the Toro

Baseball bat bros mentioned you in their live a few days ago
I saw that was nice of Will!

Here is the big question does Toro actually answer the phone or emails? If yes that puts them light years ahead of 44.
280$ l think would be a fair price for toro
Number one baby.
Attaway!
Do you think the jp11 would be better as an outfield glove with it’s wide shape
No. Jp11 is a infield glove because of its shallow pocket, in the outfield you want a deep pocket
@@txrrtle9387 I mean with a deep pocket hence why I said as an outfield glove, not using it in the outfield
is toro still in business?
You have a awsome channel it’s great that your also talking about God

I agree

Lol nice, how do you do yours
I wear mine traditional and like the pinkie and thumb slightly in. Makes a deeper pocket IMO and directs ball in towards pocket on miscatches

I had a Japanese kip leather glove and it got really floppy
That sucks, I’m not sure where you got it. Did you take care of it really well or just sorta throw it around?
