Yeah... I kinda feel Kevin there.
Really like the whole concept of Qubes OS, also considered using it, but ultimately despite the great idea of compartmentalizing everything and isolating all the different parts, in practice it's so limiting or hard to configure for some stuff, that it only really works for very specific cases... like Nathan's. xD
I agree with Henry though... even though it is my dream to have one machine only for everything. xD Like one portable machine that you carry around, and then you have dumb panels and interfaces (keyboard, mouse, touch) that just activate on command to use it.
Realistically though, we're just not quite there yet. I'm still trying to reduce my stuff to a minimum and specially have one major NAS to centralize most files (ongoing project), but I still kinda need one more powerful at home machine, plus at least one portable thing to carry around. Currently a laptop, but it used to be a tablet, and now I'm thinking portable gaming PC.
But then, you kinda want all these different things that might be just logical to put dedicated machines into. Like one smaller thing for network traffic, one for home server stuff, and it might make sense to have a machine only for streaming and video stuff if you work with that. xD
And that's only for me. I'd want something very specific and with very intuitive controls for relatives to watch streaming stuff, for instance. :P As in, something you can use without knowing anything about computers, with physical knobs and buttons to do the basics cross platform. Which is hard. I've been messing with some specialized keypads and volume knobs, but no luck so far.
    Anyways, good show guys. o/

You can also just rent a number block and actually own be in possession of those numbers, and just point them to a VoIP or self-hosted PBX.

Google Voice is only available for United States numbers according to their website.

But i agree with your recommendation. Dont use qubes for a production windows machine. I would honestly just use a hardware/software kvm switch for their needs.

In qubes you can create rpc-like calls between systems. But it takes some setting up and a lot of paranoia to get right. System-wide stream deck is possible.

Interesting. I guess I'm not surprised, also not surprised that it's a lot of work. -N

That would be a fun video. How many $$$ and elbow grease you'd need to run production software inside Windows inside Qubes decently, not from a practical standpoint but you know... fun

Bro, my first comment doesn't show up so let's try again. I use 2 of the popular front ends of RUclips on Android and both can see shorts. I use them because sometimes, eighter from Google or developers, only one doesn't work well. The names start with NEW_ _ _ _ and LIBRE_ _ _
