Athena didn't actually punish her. Athena protected her but turning her into a gorgon so no ma'am could ever hurt her again which is why Medusa can't turn women into stone.

Athena was a goddess like every other, and easily got upset when one messed with their domain or compared themselves to them. So when she finds Medusa, she gets upset to the core for desecrating her temple, and breaking her maiden vow. That's when she turns her into a gorgon. In some versions she turns her two sisters as well, in some others she doesn't.

Appollon fell in love with her and when she was like 2 yo their parents (Priam the king of Troy and I don’t remember the queen’s name) forgot her in Apollons temple and she return to the palace the other day and when she was seven she went to Apollons temple like a Priesthood (I think) and Apollon learnt her how to see in the future but before he learnt her he told Kassandra that she after that she had to “be with him” and after she learnt future telling she refused the deal they made so Apollon cursed her that she could she the future but no one could belief her and I’m bored to say the rest
