It is so satisfying listening to HOME - We’re Finally Landing as I submit my final assignment for another year of high school, might make this a tradition
Congratulations. You are my favorite channel on RUclips, not because you're exciting or flashy, but because you tell stories of human struggle and triumph, and you do so with heart and humility. Sure speedrunning my seem like another silly hobby, but you show the world how much these people bleed to be the best, how they overcome and innovate to make what appeared impossible achievable. Thank you, as a long time gamer I never thought I could see games from a new light, but you have allowed me to see the type of competitive gaming that I truly respect.
I love the way that 1:09:16 is used in Summoning Salt's videos. That opening embodies tension and throbbing nerves, like a white-knuckle focus while doing something incredibly challenging that demands your complete focus. And then, when that first drumbeat finally hits, it's like a euphoric, almost drunken state of release and satisfaction at having accomplished the impossible. I liken it to an adrenaline high. And yet, that grinding drone is still there, pushed into the background with the beat, as a subtle reminder of what you just put yourself through. Like aching muscles after a brutal, productive workout.
35:36 is hands down the best song he uses. Something about it just makes it so unbelievably satisfying to see someone succeed, or compete at the top of their game along to this energetic masterpiece.
It's the "training arc" montage theme. The one that shows the time coming down more and more with brief clips of each attempt with runner reactions, getting closer and closer to that new record. It's so hype. I love that part of any summoning salt vid.
Everyone is talking about We’re Finally Landing but can we also appreciate how good Retrograde is as a “but there was trouble on the horizon for Runner X” song. It’s like perfect
Not only is what you do as a creater incredible and THE standard for this kind of content, but over the years you have highlighted and introduced us to so many incredible music artists, too!
So many of these, like “We’re Finally Landing”, “Plural” and “Ivresse” have become so iconic to me because of this channel. They really fit every moment perfectly!
We're Finally Landing is the perfect song for the documentaries. It starts of slow, but then speeds up as the song continues, like the development of speed runs, they just keep getting faster and faster with time, until they reach their penultimate speed, which the song eventually does. It's a perfect metaphor. The soundtrack is amazing, never change Salt!
Your editing style and track selection to make a "Summoning Salt" soundtrack feel like a "Vsauce of speedruns soundtrack". I don't have any other way to describe the feeling, but it is extremely watchable and good.
This is super nice of you to upload this, a lot of the songs you use I struggle a lot to find them. Thanks ! Also, I think some Dusforce DX ost music could fit in perfectly with some videos. Pretty sure Lifeformed would be up for it, they've already gave their autorisation to the Celeste modding community.
How do you struggle? There is a Google doc linked in the video descriptions with all the music for all the episodes in the order they were used... title and artist and even a time, just copy paste it in youtube and done. Hope this helps.
1:24:19 Well, one thing was clear: the only path forward was to trying doing these fast accelerations. Nobody had been able to do 'em before, so they appeared to be Impossible; but In the past five years players had done so much on other levels: clipping Into walls, doing flagpole glitches, doing fast accelerations, add points In time; all of those tricks were thought to be Impossible too. After half a decade of this the Super Mario Bros community had made one thing very clear: *Nothing was Impossible.* ____________ Personally, It Is the most enlightening and Inspirational moment I have ever witnessed In this channel. Then afterwards, It gets more Inspirational, and emotional as well. Trully brilliant.
When ever I hear "We're finally landing", I feel like Salt wanted us to imagine that feeling of speedrunning Minecraft at 3.AM, or finally completing that incredibly hard boss in Dark Souls. This song can fit into any videogame with the right scenery and photography. This track can also be put into any tense situation in a movie or series. Hats off to Salts; done a great job.
I swear when Plural comes on in a Summoning Salt video you know you’re about to see the most high class, technical, footage you’ve ever seen in your entire life
Your choice of music is absolutely perfect. It literally sounds like these songs were made specifically for your videos. Just goes to show how well you've mastered your craft, you know the exact mood and emotions the audience feels and what song compliments them.
I was listening to a song on here and then it auto played this video. Within seconds I knew I was hearing summoning salt. Has Randy (aka HOME) ever said anything about his songs being so common on RUclips? Obviously he doesn’t copyright strike the videos, so he approves on some level. But what does he think about his songs becoming “the summoning salt songs”?? Even though I was a fan of his before I watched summoning salt, my brain still makes the connection because the songs are used in like every single video.

And Father Time, for being a loving parent. I know all that sounds silly and odd now, but I'm hopeful we can look back at this post in 10, 100, hell even 1000 years from now and laugh how silly all this was. How we fought and killed and died over and over just for....for what? I went on this journey to answer a simple question: Why? Why does anything matter? Why does love matter? what even is love? Well, I figured it out and I am so thankful to be here to experience share it with you all. Sleep well tonight world, we have a bright new day tomorrow. - larka *e: grammar and clarity*

“NOOO000ooo000OOO”
After the fatal mistake he had made, he lost the chance to beat the world record, again.
I use this while speed running my homework and DAMN IT WORKS. No other “playlist to listen to while speedrunning homework” will ever come close to this masterpiece of a playlist
It is so satisfying listening to HOME - We’re Finally Landing as I submit my final assignment for another year of high school, might make this a tradition
24/7 Summoning Salt's Favorite HOME beats to Glitch/Speedrun to.
great idea
I like how almost 1/4 of these are just random numbers but all are just straight bangers
Ivresse gives off that vibe of someone casually doing something thought to be impossible, time and time again
Something about it just makes it so unbelievably satisfying to see someone succeed, or compete at the top of their game along to this energetic masterpiece.
wouldn't say best because i can't decide, but fuck yes to the the feeling it gives off both in and out of his videos.
It's the "training arc" montage theme. The one that shows the time coming down more and more with brief clips of each attempt with runner reactions, getting closer and closer to that new record. It's so hype. I love that part of any summoning salt vid.
It is such a banger!
@@simpleton875 Genuinely brings my spirits up too lol
gives me celeste chapter 3 b-side vibes
Everyone is talking about We’re Finally Landing but can we also appreciate how good Retrograde is as a “but there was trouble on the horizon for Runner X” song. It’s like perfect
The way he put we're finally landing at the beginning and the end makes me so happy
They really fit every moment perfectly!
anything by prism age is gold
We're Finally Landing is the perfect song for the documentaries. It starts of slow, but then speeds up as the song continues, like the development of speed runs, they just keep getting faster and faster with time, until they reach their penultimate speed, which the song eventually does. It's a perfect metaphor.
The soundtrack is amazing, never change Salt!
HOME literally one of the very best music artists in my whole life
First song and I can already immediately hear him in my head talking about the ultra shortcut
Let’s see what the future holds, for humans and our strive, our desire, our sheer passion for excellence.
i love how it both starts and ends with "HOME - We're Finally Landing"
it's sort of nostalgic listening to it again after all these other songs
Your editing style and track selection to make a "Summoning Salt" soundtrack feel like a "Vsauce of speedruns soundtrack". I don't have any other way to describe the feeling, but it is extremely watchable and good.
Even this video starts and ends with We're finally landing. Wow.
"Foewi- Close" really reminds me of some somber song I've listened to before. I am now going to go on a journey to find this song.
Thanks SummoningSalt with this we finished our project before our professor asigned it to us.
I can't even lie. Summoning Salt literally picked the best soundtrack for his videos.
One of my favorite games and one of my favorite ost. Also has cool speedruns
How do you struggle? There is a Google doc linked in the video descriptions with all the music for all the episodes in the order they were used... title and artist and even a time, just copy paste it in youtube and done. Hope this helps.
@@LimeymanZero he just wanted to send a useless positive message
1:24:19 Well, one thing was clear: the only path forward was to trying doing these fast accelerations.
Nobody had been able to do 'em before, so they appeared to be Impossible; but In the past five years players had done so much on other levels: clipping Into walls, doing flagpole glitches, doing fast accelerations, add points In time; all of those tricks were thought to be Impossible too.
After half a decade of this the Super Mario Bros community had made one thing very clear: *Nothing was Impossible.*

Personally, It Is the most enlightening and Inspirational moment I have ever witnessed In this channel. Then afterwards, It gets more Inspirational, and emotional as well.
Trully brilliant.
Finally I can listen to this music in the background as I play games and feel like I am about to break through to my most upper limits.
I swear when Plural comes on in a Summoning Salt video you know you’re about to see the most high class, technical, footage you’ve ever seen in your entire life
It has that feel of, "Okay we've got this figured out - now let's do it!"
This song list is GOLD for content creators looking for music, such GREATNESS!
Your choice of music is absolutely perfect. It literally sounds like these songs were made specifically for your videos. Just goes to show how well you've mastered your craft, you know the exact mood and emotions the audience feels and what song compliments them.
Used to listen to this all of the time 2 years ago
0:35:37 Personally, this is probably my favorite song that Salt has got! Sad that its not on spotify
Mine too
It's not on Spotify bc Patricia doesn't like Spotify as a company.
Sounds kind of like a super-mariokart song
I feel lots of joy knowing that Sunshower is here, that and The Moment Before are my favorite HOME songs
Any moments where 4 comes on, prepare to have your jaw dropped
I was listening to a song on here and then it auto played this video. Within seconds I knew I was hearing summoning salt. Within 15 seconds I knew I wasn’t watching a progression video but hearing an extended mix. Yeo summing salt has the best soundtrack of all of RUclips hands down! Just had to stop my day real quick to throw some props out to all the wonderful musicians and to salt themselves for having the passion to bring it together!
“How did he do it ? Lets find out … “
I really can hear that soothing voice say it @ 1:09
This is one of those thing I didnt know I wanted until it was created.
Kudos to Patricia Taxxon. Soaring gets me hyped. And retrograde is basically Matt Turk’s theme song
I love how for most of these I can imagine what part of the video they would go in like a run grinding montage or a new challenger introduction or the walkthrough explanation of the first runs
We love you SummoningSalt, thank you for every upload ever, even if there will be 2 or 1 video per year, the amount of effort is astonishing
this is basically my favorite workout playlist. i never get tired of these songs.
Can't wait to PB my procrastination listening to this soundtrack.
We’re finally landing reminds me of a song that would be in satisfactory.
"...and then, on November 21st, 2021, this happened..."
It's pretty amazing how well "we're finally landing" captures that stars-aligning feeling of speed runs
I salute you for introducing me to these great songs
why is this video just perfectly aligned with my musical taste, like i love every song in here and many of them are my favorites.
This soundtrack... Its too good for society... The feels it gives is like beating VSC on geometry dash or something... Please Summoningsalt, never stop being awesome.

I listen to this while studying calculus. Big help
Anyone else get chills when listening to these?
This soundtrack is single-handedly getting me through this semester. Thanks for helping me study!
The song at 35:37 is such an underrated song. It just sounds so good!
I get a real beautiful but nostalgic/melancholic happiness from we're finally landing. Unsure if that's an oxymoron but still definitely a banger.

The HOME tracks are incredible

We’re finally landing essentially signifies something what it was like for the first men to land on the moon, meaning, all your incredible amount of effort towards and impossible task has finally been rewarded.
"Yo, pass the aux cord."
"You better not play trash."
Me:
HOME is such a talented individual
Home is such an amazing artist
Ladies and gentlemen. Please arise for some of the Greatest music of all time. Mission control, we're finally landing. Summoning, I wanted to thank you for the time and effort you put into making us fellow video game lovers entertained with your amazing content. You have pleased a ton of people on the video game community. Thank you for all of this. We are coming HOME.
Sad that some of my favorites, such as crystal caves and hurricane season are missing from this soundtrack
Thank you for sharing!! All great artists that deserve way more recognition, much like you!
HOME is really the John Williams of the Summoning Salt extended universe.
I've seen so many episodes on emotional catharsis on Summoning Salt that I tear up whenever HOME's We're Finally Landing plays.
HOME is just amazing!
Have been listening to this while working on finals for college. Amazing soundtrack you've picked over the years. Keep up the good work!
incredible music selections, sir!
I can hear his voice when this songs are playing😩 i love his documentaries!!
Has Randy (aka HOME) ever said anything about his songs being so common on RUclips? Obviously he doesn’t copyright strike the videos, so he approves on some level. But what does he think about his songs becoming “the summoning salt songs”??
Even though I was a fan of his before I watched summoning salt, my brain still makes the connection because the songs are used in like every single video.
honestly summoning mate, this video right here has genuinely helped so many people it's just crazy. your art and the way you do things and the absolute magic that you leave here for people to enjoy, i know for a fact it makes such special connections with this here lovely playlist of tunes, just like it has with me. keep it up champ, you're defining the next chapter of youtube cult synthwave nerds ;)
Thank you. Thank you to Summoning Salt for making these song popular, in particular to HOME for writing "We're Finally Landing", and to you reading this.
You truly have no idea the journey I have been on. But it was all worth it. We're finally landing. This is it. Thank you to my beautiful chaos for always being with me.
- larka
