I took my daughter to see Anna at the Vanguard for her 18th birthday. Anna's voice was perfect! She hung out after the show for autographs and pictures; she's a real class act.
I know she must get sick of singing this song sometimes, but I sat about twenty feet away that night and I can tell you that it was transcendent. I wish there was a shot of the crowd afterward because it was smiles and tears all around.
Edwin McCain addressed that statement once about his song I'll Be. He said alot of artists do get annoyed by it, but not him. He said that he knows that that is his hit and how much it means to people so he keeps enjoying it and will never forget. She sometimes ends her show with this, so she knows, too. I just saw a performance by her that she let the crowd sing it for her and didn't sing a single word into the mic. She was in tears. You could just tell she feels it deeply. I very much appreciate it when artists go to a different place when they sing there own hits, to where you can just tell it wasn't just for that popular track and it really means something.

It's basically the guitarist and bassist of Jefferson Airplane. We got to help carry their instruments inside and everything:D They were probably like "hehe, free labor." And we were like "IT'S THE BAND *SQUEALS*" 😂 They were very cool, though.
@@wheresatari668 there were several opening acts that night and I went to visit the facilities. When I came out there was a blonde girl on stage singing and I thought wow she will be the main act someday. I didn't realize it was Anna lol, she is just as beautiful in real life btw
