He actually took in your feedback! I recently bought this wallet from them, and they actually improved on the flap by making it longer and also bigger thumbslot.
Yes, he did mention that to me later. He's very customer focused.
The design of this wallet is absolutely incredible. So creative and thoughtful!
Simplicity in design is a key for minimalist wallets. That wallet looks great and quite versatile. Like these updates about your experience with wallets.
The owner listened to you. He made the finger notches bigger. I just got my shell cordovan version from him and it’s amazing. Can’t wait to carry it
I've been registered on your site for a couple of months now, and I'm really enjoying the regular updates! I don't understand why I like wallets so much, but it's great to have a single place to visit when I need to feed my addiction.
Thanks and great to have you! It's interesting...like with all things around us, once you pay attention to something, and begin thinking about the depth and complexity of it, you're either interested or not, wallet's are no different. The depth of knowledge in the world about EVERYTHING around us is mind-boggling. Something as simple of wallets, surprisingly, has a lot of depth and breadth
@@walletopia You've done an excellent job at highlighting all those subtle differences! Also, thanks for helping me realize that RFID protection is a gimmick. Saying I'm more secure with RFID shielding is like trying to convince me that I need to buy a coat in the summer.
Thanks Walletopia, based on your initial review I ordered the Grain Wallet in olive green. Wish I could tell you more but it's stuck under the Christmas tree for the next couple of weeks!
Thanks sir to review such a gem wallet! And I was surprised it's made from our neighbor country Singapore I will definitely grab one for my first minimalist wallet!
That one's a beauty. Definitely on my wishlist
It is one of the best wallets out there, perfectly designed.
Great review as always!
Thanks!
Okay, I’m sold. Have to admire the innovative features contained in such a flat, compact design that looks soo-good. Starting to get dangerously close to wearing real office attire once again and maybe acting like a normal adult. This will be a good addition to the wallet collection at a reasonable price.
Based on some of the concerns in the review he’s made adjustment to the new version. It’s a great wallet
@@walletopia So far, his customer service and attention to detail has been noteworthy.
Great review, as always.
Thanks!
Good to know I made a good purchase :)
Got the 7cm one a couple of weeks ago and I'm very pleased with it. I've been slipping the flap behind the first card I keep in the front pocket which lets me get to that main card (and my cash) without ever needing to open the flap and I love that. On the whole it's a very sleek and clever wallet. I agree that it's a bit of a pain to sort through the cards in the inner pockets, but they're my low use cards, so the trouble doesn't come up often. Thanks for the review!
Great idea to put the flap behind he first card, let me know how that works over time.
I was thinking about doing the same! Does this affect the leather or the patina formation?
@@Raxelet The parts of the leather that are exposed still get a patina, no difference at all. The part of the flap that is behing my main card is a little bit lighter than the rest, but it's always tucked behind the card, so it's fine. I'm a year later with the wallet and still happy as can be with it. Big thumbs up from me if you're on the fence about getting one.
How many cards do you easily put into the 7cm version with flap under the front card?
@@emperorchopchop7726 How many cards do you easily put into the 7cm version with flap under the front card?
Like your video! That wallet definetely on my list. Any plan to make a review of the Base wallet from Tauruscamp? Or maybe a compare video with that one?
This is my next purchase!
This is the first wallet ive seen that might have the potential to replace my nivisto as my daily carry. I think I am going to have to try it out
Thanks. Would you mind trying a business card in your insertion tests? I find some wallets really don’t accommodate a business card very well, the end gets bent & messed up, others do great. Just a suggestion, thank you for doing these reviews.
Singapore Represent!
Nice one... I'd mod it and add a close button or a little magnet hust to make it easier to close (I intend to do so with my Ekster Parliament once it arrives)
Btw... Don't think we didn't notice you flexing that Visa Infinite card 💰💰😛
Love your reviews! What's the highest rated wallet you've reviews thus far?
Hey so I know this would probably be difficult to do, but have you ever thought about making your own wallet maybe? Putting all your favorite features together? It would be really awesome to see that! Have a good night! Great content man!
Oh yes. I have a few designs I'm "perfecting", whatever that means 😂. Once you've reviewed 200+ wallets you tend to see what works and what doesn't. HOWEVER, there are so many compromises you must make depending on how you start the wallet design via materials, size, type of carry features, etc. that there really is no perfect wallet.
Just got this in last night actually, I think this might beat out the gun deck for me. I put the flap behind the card in the quick access spot and it seems to hold well. Looking forward to using it everyday
Interesting idea with the flap, makes the slot a bit quicker. I'd be interested to hear how it works over time.
I've made the same question to someone else. Does this methos ruin the outside leather or the patina forming on it?
@@Raxeletpatina tells the story of how you use and wear the item. So it will absolutely wear DIFFERENTLY when used in this manner, but it's telling the story. It won't ruin anything. Leather patinas through use. The heat, friction, sunlight, exposure to moisture etc all play a part. Just use it is what I'm saying
Would this be a good wallet for someone (me) who needs to carry 7-9 cards, occasionally 10+ slips of cash and a few coins, but wants the slimmest wallet possible?
If not what would you recommend?
Hey this is getting expensive. You keep providing me ideas on new wallet options. I’ve already bought 3 new wallets in 2020 because of this channel. 2021 is shaping up to be a similar multi wallet purchase year. My wife is going to kill me.
Everyone needs a hobby....tell her it's cheaper than golf, skiing, boating, etc. It's all about perspective 😂
Thanks for a very informative review. About the dislike you mention on the notch not cut deep enough, just send the wallet to me and I'll make the change for you, I do not guarantee I will remember to send it back........
😂
I just got the base wallet with the coin pouch (olive green with a red thread, outstanding!) I think it’s more functional than the grain wallet. It would be interesting to review the base wallet and compare it to the grain wallet.
We've got the base wallet in inventory, so I'll add your vote to it!
I am in the same boat, undecided between the Base and the Grain (Both with the coin pouch). Any update on a side to side comparison?
Which color is this?
Muito top
Mark, this or the Lucais?
Hey Mark, what's the color of the wallet in this review?
This is the Walnut color
Can you please do a review on Bellroy slim sleeve premium Edition. I want to know the difference between Normal one and premium edition.
Working on it now. First impression is that the Premium edition is what all Slim Sleeve's should be. What they learned from the original and used for the Designer editions, then learned from the Designer is now in the Premium.
@@walletopia Thank you so much, and thanks for the review on Aviator slide wallet, I bought it last month and very happy with the purchase.
Great to hear!
Bought the other version smaller version (7cm) with the button clip if that is called. Hoping to receive before Christmas. Mark you are really poison man, I'm addicted to buy wallets now hahaha.
Let me know how you like it! I know, once you realize all the wallets out there...well, it can become a problem 😂
Should have go for the 8cm as SGD $50 measures 7. 5cm. Hahaha...
@@walletopia purchased the 8cm but different design, have shared with you on your Instagram.
How are you liking the base version with button. I am so conflicted between the two versions.
@@JW-th5hh the button version is easier to close the flap rather than tuck the leather flap into the slot. I've ordered another version which Mark shown here too. Gonna try it tomorrow as it's delivered to my office.
Is it possible to buy this wallet using US currency? Only Canadian currency is available for sale on the website.
Are you trying to buy from Canada? Often e-commerce systems will look to see where you're at and serve up the common currency in the country. If you go into your Etsy account preferences you can specify USD as your currency.
@@walletopia Thank you for the information. I was slightly confused but this solved the problem for me
The Taurus BaseWallet is way better IMO and probably will beat out the Craft & Lore Port wallet. Why? Because the Taurus BaseWallet has a quick access AND a place to hide cash 1/2 folded. The not used cards are kept inside where you access them by opening the snap opening. This hands down is better IMO than the Port.
Thanks Marc, I have it in my inventory, so I'll move it up for a review!
@@walletopia need to move it up quick lol, can’t wait to see what you think. I think it’s better than the Port. But they will be close. I don’t like how the Port is for cash until I experienced the BaseWallet.
This wallet is no different then the base in that sense. I access my cash and I have my license, debit and cc in the quick access slot. Everything else is inside, and I rarely have to touch the flap.
How many stars? ⭐️

100 is not the biggest amount there is 200 and 500 but size is same 😉
Yes, you're correct, I only pull the 100 out because they're the same size.
@@walletopia by the way you make an awesome job.... very useful and I like the tone of your video informative on point and a ‘’ je ne sais quoi’’ that is unique and so valuable 😉
