This Turret VR assistant is a standalone Android application, developed entirely on a Nexus 4 using Tasker and Tasker App Factory. It relies heavily on plugins AutoVoice, AutoShortcut and AutoNotification. This demo was created for entertainment purposes only.

Great video! How did you get Yatse play/pause to trigger your lights task? I've been trying to figure out the right intent received extra variable from the Yatse broadcast.

Hehehehe love it, might have to hunt down the portal sounds and try this myself, would have rocked to have it as a TTS though. Nice idea to use a persistent AN to trigger the voice assistant. Wish more people would open their eyes and do stuff like this, but most people either think it's complicated or lack the imagination to do it.
