I’m a huge fan of tiny homes! Several years ago my husband surprised me with my own prebuilt cabin. He finished the entire inside by himself! It is 192 sq. feet, not including the 2 lofts. The ceiling is all beautiful cedar, the walls are insulated and covered with tongue and groove planks. Instead of stairs or a ladder he came up with an idea I’ve not seen in any other home. He connected the lofts (looks like a catwalk) and has an attic “ladder “ to each loft. They are like walking on stairs when folded down, then when up they are out of the way. I handmade a single mattress for the front loft that extends over the porch, and a full size mattress will go in the back loft. It has a portable toilet in its own room, and full kitchen area. It’s absolutely beautiful! Such an act of love!💕🥰
What a great design. I've never been to Guatamala but I know it's a very impoverished country. I'm surprised to see something like that there. It's absolutely wonderful. Thanks for sharing.
That was one of the best examples of simplicity and affordability that I have seen from builder outside of building a cob house using clay sand and straw as your building materials thanks for posting this home great for ideas .👍
This lovely energetic and quite intelligent young lady could sell me the Brooklyn Bridge. She will be successful in all she does. Don't lose that breathless charm. It's real!
Lovely place !! KOI pond.... volcanos, wow ! Ive got a great place in the campo, amazing views, centipedes, tarantulas and scorpions too.... but I love it.
Nice, informative video....cute 'Lil house. Your voice as a narrator is very calm, soothing, not loud and overpowering. Am a subscriber. God bless you on your journey's.
Paul Crosley the interior of Guatemala is also amazing. If you have the opportunity, visit Mazatenego and Suchitepequez. Jalapa is also worth your time and the chapel at Samayac is really worthwhile also. Considering how old it is and how many earthquakes/ volcanoes eruptions it has survived it really boggles the mind. I love Guatemala and can’t wait to go back.
So sketchy down there still for young women. I was recently there in Antigua and Santiago. A young British backpacker was kidnapped raped and murdered. Antigua is beautiful but please be careful especially outside of towns don't travel alone.
So this is what is supposed to qualify as "Eco"? I've been living off-grid, harvesting rainwater, biosand filtration system, using a greywater wetland treatment system and composting my own poop for nothing! All I needed to do to impress a millennial was to recycle a road sign or two and divert water from a stream for a koi pond. Yeesh! If this is what people are hoping will make the difference - we are screwed!
Sorry, I fell victim to negativity. How about instead of attacking your misconceptions of "eco" I simply suggest you seek out the world of people who are truly doing things that would classify as ECO. So easy today. You should have tried 30 years ago, I was a FREAK for even thinking about strawbale houses, Cob, Earthbags, biosand filters, constructed wetlands, humanure etc. Want to make a difference in the battle for a healthy/more sustainable existence? Just do it yourself; waiting for governments or corporations to fix it or come up with solutions is pointless. It's ultimately on you.
Whole generations of what? Oh right, because everyone have enough time and money to waste like before? Sorry, but with education increase by more double the cost of before. Housing price is several times higher while wage for jobs only increase by around 25%. Seem this generation is much harder to live in compared to the "FREE" easy going last generation that screw everything and have much easier life.
By 2025, the world population will be 10 BILLIONS and continue to increase, "ECO"-friendly is not to live with the lands in the future, but live with less lands while using less resources and have to compete with more people and more people each days. You guys need to adjust your minds since "ECO" in the future is just lucky enough to see a tree. Just look at Amazon's forest is burning and that whole area will become desert in few DECADES. All thanks to the last generations of IRRESPONSIBILITY and allowed POLICIES of putting wealth first and nature last while talking craps about next generations.

Your story gives inspiration to those who are planning to live in a tiny house. We would love to share this with our customers who bought vacant land from us and planning to live away from the city. They will surely get awesome ideas from your videos.
Really cool and easy to build !!! Built one kinda like it out of reclaimed materials,, came out amazing !!! Awesome view in the video also, makes the setting perfect !!!!
Bending wood, for the framing, is either steam bent, or made with laminated 1x4's bent in a jig. They had to build the frame. then the 1.5x lumber in a barrel shape (visible), is literally capable of supporting the frame. Overall, bending stuff, is a project, i'm not sure is worth the asthetics. (see I did see past the girl).
Such a cool little house!! You do an excellent job of describing things! I remember when you two drove a jeep with a tent on top and you explained everything well as you always do!! Beautiful scenery too!

How is the wastewater and sewage handled? Septic tank? I had the same question on your last tiny home video....
Exactly.
It's recycled back into the stream for which it came as as and eco friendly, sustainable source of fish food.
Travis the chimp Wait! You’re saying her sewage is drained into the river, and that’s eco-friendly?
